Hello, the small tube of the airbox that goes into intake has to be free if i blow into it? What's the purpose of that tube? With the car on i don't feel the vacum in that tube... thanks

@@SEPAChannelthanks for answer. i would disconnect it but i dont know if my radio have a code and if it have i dont have it. Can i disconnect cables from throttle and remove it, clean it and then reconnect back without any problem? In a case i disconnect negative would error code be removed and throttle relearned and would it be cleared errors and relearned throttle without disconnectin negative?
Hi mate nice video. My 500 1.2 petrol is like hesitates around 2500 rev or stall, I did replaced engine oil, filter, air filter, spark plugs and leads, and this problem came up. Any ideas? Thx
Hi Sepa, i have the same engine and did a throttlebody cleaning. But after cleaning the car now idle at 700 rpm, instead before 850rpm. It seems like the throttlebody needs to be relearned, can you tell me how to do this?
The car starts good, but it is very sensitive when you are at a traffic light and want to drive away, you have to accelerate in time otherwise the car will stop. I have the Lancia MultiCuscan software on my laptop installed, but there is no Throttle relearn avaible for this engine. But the Fiat/Alfa romeo does have this option on the scantool.
Ideling at 700rpm is good for fuel economy, you can try to accelerate a bit harder while at traffic stop. Alternatlively, you can have your TB re-set. But I would leave it as it is.
Before i had a Fiat Grande with the same engine only different Ecu. It would always idle at 850rpm when engine was warm, that drove so much better than this Lancia idle at 700rpm. i personally dont think it has to do with Throttlebody cleaning, the computer is programmed like this to idle at 700 rpm to improve fuel economy, i really hate it ! If i could turn it a little bit up to 800rpm it would be a amazing car.
Hi. I have Ford ka 2 with The same engine and I think i need to do the same job with my throthle. But where can I buy o-ring for The throthle? Thank you for video.
Hi. The old one should be in good condition since there is no high pressure or other hostile working conditions. If you really want to change it, I would suggest to try at a local car parts shop, if they dont have it, thet will order it for you. But 1st check the condition.... it should be fine. Good luck
good question! the throttle was lagging. also that brought up "check engine" light. after cleaning the car was more responsive and the check engine light went off
Hi, My Fiat Punto loses speed at the start. From 900 it goes down to 600. He then stutters. And sometimes he goes out. He only does it when he's warm and then the inside smells of gasoline in the car Do you have any idea what it can be? We changed the spark plugs So did the spark plug wires The ignition distributor too. All plugs checked. Cleaning additive doesn't help either. No improvement.
No idea, but since it's about fiat... it can be anything really. Electronics is not their strong point. Try to put it on a tester and see if you can read any error code
Thats a bad way to clean a throttle body, you can damage the sensors inside the electronics by turning the flap on the body use only throttle body cleaner only WD40 is to harsh
I appreciate English is your second language. So thank you so much for taking the time to make this video.
Thank you for your kind words.
Make more videos with GP. Nice work!
Thank you 😁

Hi. I didn't actually test it tbh so I cant really say, but as long as you put it back in the same place should be fine.
Hi would the throttle body if dirty course the car in the cold start then cut out
Hi. Usually when the TB is dirty, the car shakes while idling. It can cut off but if the TB is faulty, not dirty. Is it giving you any error codes?
Yeah put scan tool on it and got a coolant sensor fault on mine so gonna change and hope the car will start fine in the cold mornings
You can use brake cleaner also for this cleaning

Nice bro 👌 thanks
we are happy it worked great for you
Hi. Before removing throtlle body do you disconnect akku negative or remove throttle fuse ? Thanks
hi, just to be safe, disconnect negative terminal from battery. cheers

do you have access to a OBD reader? I would start with that. being Fiat, chances are that its something electrical

the rpm auto adjust depening on the oxigen needs of the engine, it is normal for the rpm to drop a bit after cleanning. is the car running ok?

why did you clean it? Any difference after cleaning?
good question! the throttle was lagging. also that brought up "check engine" light. after cleaning the car was more responsive and the check engine light went off
Could this be why my punto stalls when it's idling warm?
It is very unlikely but its easy to clean and you can exclude one more factor.

Maybe the evap purge valve is bad

Hi mate. Thank you for your feed back. we will consider it going further. It depends indeed on the car model also.
