Transparency is key for me. I have shown my pricing since day one, it builds instant trust with couples and, it gives you back so much more free time as you're not constantly responding to the ghosting couples, those ones only ever book on price.

Fixing to shoot my first paid wedding and your videos have helped me more than anything I have searched! You have helped calm some nerves and worries about the day! I appreciate you!

It's a very interesting topic! In Vancouver here, rarely does someone show their pricing or even their starting price on their website. I like how this method filters out couples that are in a different budget range, and limits the amount of communication. Definitely a time saver! Pros and cons to each method. Great video as always man!

As soon as I made my pricing public I noticed the exact same thing, less emails asking about pricing and more bookings with less hassle

Very good honestly! Don't bother with any hate comments, it will actually help you in a positive way. By showing your rates, you are not only helping to set the standards in this industry but also help me and others who are trying to learn and start a Photography and Videography business. This will give us ideas and courage to not be afraid to set the standards of pricing an event. I am very thankful and really admired you for doing this. 🙏 🙏 🙏

I just checked out your prices. Very reasonable! Not too high, not too low - just right. I'm in real estate and things have slowed waaaaay down with these insane interest rates. I've got all the gear and am considering doing some wedding photo/video on the side. Do many people do that? Any recommendations on how to get started?

Can’t do the dress shoes on a 10 hour day. It’s gotta be the black asics.
Do you have any shoe recommendations that look more “dressy” but are really designed for comfort?

Great insights, thank you. When you say January/February is your main booking time - does it refer to bookings for the same year? So do most inquiries for 2023 start to come in now heavily?

    • @TaylorJacksonPhoto

Same year this year. It used to be a year ahead (like in 2018 Jan you’d be booking for 2019) - but I think 2020 kind of messed up the flow
