Ben is fucking amazing. It seems any song he does, original or cover, it's just outstanding. I don't find very good covers of AIC or Tool anywhere, but Ben is the first guy I've seen to do such an awesome job at covering both. This is one of my favorite bands, Ben is one of my inspirations, and I hope he gets better and continues to make awesome music.
My dream just came true, Ben singing AIC!!! A duet with Layne would have been better but I guess we gotta take what we can get. Gen X'er here, I grew up with AIC and raised my 3 sons on AIC and BB. Surprisingly great cover, just because their voices are so different. RIP Layne, get better soon Ben! Maybe a little little forgive and forget can bring the band back together too. I know, highly unlikely but likely, but it would b nice.
Wow...Alice In Chains is my favorite band, and I've always like Breaking Benjamin, but I had no idea Ben could sound this much like Layne. I've seen Aaron Lewis do a lot of AIC covers, and he sounds great, but I think Ben tops him here as far as sounding like Layne goes.
Just a matter of taste, they sound a tad generic to me, but I have to admit that I never really took the time to listen to their stuff so any suggestion is welcome
ya know whats kinda shit? back before cam phones and youtube, the only way to see this kinda thing was on a professional quality show. sounds like a bad thing, but it actually made it a part of the industry to produce this kinda thing for mass consumption. now that its all over youtube there are no great shows like mtv unplugged in the 90s. the closest you can get is something filmed in a radio studio or an acoustic session of a pop song. the rest of it is garbage quality phone cam bullshit like this.
