Catching Red Fish Redfish are a popular game fish found in the coastal waters of the southeastern United States. They are known for their hard fighting and delicious flesh. Redfish can be caught a variety of ways, including baitcasting, spinning, fly fishing, and wade fishing. Baitcasting Baitcasting is a popular method for catching redfish. Baitcasters allow anglers to cast long distances and make precise presentations. When baitcasting for redfish, anglers typically use soft plastic baits, such as jerkbaits, swimbaits, and soft plastic worms. Spinning Spinning is another popular method for catching redfish. Spinning reels are easier to use than baitcasters, and they are a good choice for anglers who are new to fishing. When spinning for redfish, anglers typically use live bait, such as shrimp, crabs, and mullet. Fly Fishing Fly fishing is a challenging but rewarding way to catch redfish. Fly anglers use artificial flies that imitate the natural baitfish that redfish eat. When fly fishing for redfish, anglers typically fish in shallow water, near the shoreline. Wade Fishing Wade fishing is a great way to catch redfish in shallow water. When wade fishing, anglers typically use light tackle and cast small baits. Wade fishing is a great way to get close to the fish and make precise presentations. Where to Find Redfish Redfish can be found in a variety of habitats, including salt marshes, mangroves, and sandy beaches. They are most commonly found in shallow water, near the shoreline. Redfish are also known to migrate, so it is important to check with local fishing guides to find out where the fish are biting. How to Catch Redfish There are a few things that anglers can do to increase their chances of catching redfish. First, anglers should use the right bait or lure. Redfish are opportunistic feeders, so they will eat a variety of baits. However, some of their favorite baits include shrimp, crabs, mullet, and soft plastic baits. Second, anglers should fish in the right areas. Redfish are most commonly found in shallow water, near the shoreline. They are also known to migrate, so it is important to check with local fishing guides to find out where the fish are biting. Third, anglers should use the right technique. When fishing for redfish, anglers should use a variety of techniques, including casting, jigging, and trolling. The best technique will vary depending on the conditions and the fish's mood. Tips for Catching Redfish Here are a few tips for catching redfish: Use the right bait or lure. Fish in the right areas. Use the right technique. Be patient. Redfish can be finicky eaters, so it is important to be patient and persistent. Have fun! Catching redfish is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise.

The daily bag limits are 2 fish per person or 8 per vessel in the northeast zone and 1 fish per person or 8 fish per vessel in the northwest and south zones. Some areas have special restrictions, and it’s important to check the regulations before you hit the water.
These are the laws of the states we operate in! Follow them or get into something else to do besides destroying our fisheries! That goes for anyone who thinks it’s fine to keep undersized/oversized fish, that’s above the age of 8!
@@probiethetank8825 what law is he breaking though
Epic fail all the way around. Cant believe you have illegal crap up and havent been caught. Keep up the good work. 😂😂😂
😂 it is not illegal in Louisiana
@larryw866 oh really? But not for sure where he even is. I thought they were regulated everywhere in US pretty hard.
@@codiesedlock7694heck no I can't not throw a line in the water and not catch a slot sized red where I live in FL 😂 anyways go look up the bag limit it's crazy and what FL needs to do it getting crazy I can throw a baby sail cat on the hook and pull up a slot red
@larryw866 i know alabama regulations better than anywhere else. I live in Iowa so no saltwater fishing here..but our walleye and northern pike are regulated like redfish in alabama. Slots and limits.
@@codiesedlock7694 lmao Alabama has 3 bag and only 1 of 3 can be over Louisiana is better than Alabama
Nice role model on keeping to many
The video didn’t even show you catching a red and your keeping overslot reds, with your son on the boat 👏👏👏
I wish we could keep reds here in Florida. They are currently catch and release only.
FL regulations between 18 and 27 inch are keepers 2 per person or 8 per boat

@BassBashin up till a few years ago nowhere in the Indian River lagoon was catch n release. I use to fish and catch fish up and down the lagoon. Some amazing fishing in the no motor zone BTW.

How do I know? TOURNAMENT FISHING!
Gotta know ALL the laws EVERYWHERE you fish! If you can’t remember it? Do like I do and keep the information handy at all times for each state!
Texas Redfish Limits
A redfish must be at least 20” but no more than 28” in length to be legally harvested. The daily bag limit for redfish in Texas is three redfish per person. One redfish over the maximum length can be kept each year with a red drum tag that comes with a fishing license.
Louisiana Redfish Limits
Redfish must be at least 16” and no more than 27” to be legally harvested in Louisiana. The daily bag limit is 5 fish per person two of which may be allowed to be over the maximum length limit.
Mississippi Redfish Limits
Redfish must be between 18” and 30” to be legally harvested in Mississippi. The daily bag limit is 3 fish per person. Recreational anglers can keep one redfish over 30” each year.
Alabama Redfish Limits
Redfish must be between 16” and 26” to be legally retained in Alabama. The daily bag limit is 3 fish per person. One fish of the 3 fish may be kept over the maximum length per day.

48 seconds then the video stopped 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where is this at and is the redfish regulation the same as in florida
😂 obviously it's not you moron this is more than likely Louisiana
We need the regs in FL to be like this because I can't catch a mackerel without a red oversized red slamming it and getting on the hook and swallowing my fish
He was getting a hit at the end..let em bump..then hit em..Excellent!!
When he said 30 seconds Siri is in the back saying this is what I found 😂
Nice, but the reel need more line and some good cleaning.
Texas is 20-28, 3 per day, Plus one tag for bull red.
Who heard Siri at the start

Stupid question is the camera on your head or is it mounted to your stomach?
Here in south Florida
We can no longer keep any redfish
I see why now

How to catch a reddish in 30 seconds. Find a really rare schooling of bull reds. Then start filming.
😂 schools of bull reds are not rare at all especially in FL
Thought limit catch 1, saw many red fish in the boat😊
Nice overstock red definitely a way to keep those
Nice job... good catch. Longest 30 ever! lol
was that 30 seconds? 😂
Every time itarget redfish or break them off before I wake using 20 lb mono line now I am use a 80 lb braided line and 40 lb later with a number three triangle weight and I still break off
people who keep over alot red fish shouldnt be able to have a fishing license or any fishing tackle rods etc it causes a huge dip in the red fish population
If it makes you feel any better they did a study of gulf redfish recently and found that 1 in 3 mature redfish are full of pharmaceutical runoff that can be transferred to whoever eats them. The inherent penalty for keeping overslot reds is consuming birth control, opiates and every other awful pharma metabolite you can name.
Wow😂 stfu learn regulations for other states
I love the Siri 😂
What kind of sunglasses are those?

What state was this in
Wow Amazing 😱👍👌
Where is this?
Judging by all the F’N boats in such a small area, you neglected to mention one must FIRST locate a school of Red’s! If there was no school of Red’s, this video wouldn’t even exist! The school of Red’s is literally the number one reason, if not the sole reason, you can catch them “insanely fast” or in “30 seconds”!
We’re is the game warden at

Who are the Siri?😂😂😂😂 here’s what I found😅
It was 48 seconds but still good job 👏👍👌🙌😄😀👏
could you imagine what the boats are saying. when they see none of the bull reds going back in the water😢😢😢
Personally I don’t keep big reds and don’t encourage doing so. But for everyone bitching about how this is “poaching” or that he needs to go to jail or whatever, please don’t be ignorant. Regulations are different in each state and population dynamics are also different and can tolerate different levels of harvest. I know off top of my head that it’s perfectly legal to keep overslot Reds in Louisiana and Texas so lay off the accusations of illegal activity. It you don’t like it, then petition those states Fish and Wildlife departments to change the rules
Fish a heavy fished lake lmao
That determines a good fishermen. If you think what you do is harder vs what I have to do.....

Maybe try showing the fish you catch?

Catching Red Fish
Redfish are a popular game fish found in the coastal waters of the southeastern United States. They are known for their hard fighting and delicious flesh. Redfish can be caught a variety of ways, including baitcasting, spinning, fly fishing, and wade fishing.
Baitcasting
Baitcasting is a popular method for catching redfish. Baitcasters allow anglers to cast long distances and make precise presentations. When baitcasting for redfish, anglers typically use soft plastic baits, such as jerkbaits, swimbaits, and soft plastic worms.
Spinning
Spinning is another popular method for catching redfish. Spinning reels are easier to use than baitcasters, and they are a good choice for anglers who are new to fishing. When spinning for redfish, anglers typically use live bait, such as shrimp, crabs, and mullet.
Fly Fishing
Fly fishing is a challenging but rewarding way to catch redfish. Fly anglers use artificial flies that imitate the natural baitfish that redfish eat. When fly fishing for redfish, anglers typically fish in shallow water, near the shoreline.
Wade Fishing
Wade fishing is a great way to catch redfish in shallow water. When wade fishing, anglers typically use light tackle and cast small baits. Wade fishing is a great way to get close to the fish and make precise presentations.
Where to Find Redfish
Redfish can be found in a variety of habitats, including salt marshes, mangroves, and sandy beaches. They are most commonly found in shallow water, near the shoreline. Redfish are also known to migrate, so it is important to check with local fishing guides to find out where the fish are biting.
How to Catch Redfish
There are a few things that anglers can do to increase their chances of catching redfish.
Tips for Catching Redfish
Here are a few tips for catching redfish:
Use the right bait or lure.
Fish in the right areas.
Use the right technique.
Be patient. Redfish can be finicky eaters, so it is important to be patient and persistent.
Have fun! Catching redfish is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise.
Can I ask, what is the name of the Rod that the fisherman is using?
Penn carnage 2 I think . If not it’s just the original carnage spinning version
