Same here. I think it was a bit mean. She could have just spoken to him backstage about it instead of making it awkward on stage infront of everyone. And let's face it she didn't really have talent. Salman khan support is why she survived. Yes she did improve on dance and acting later but she's really not that good.
I think its incredibly hypocritical. She couldn't be professional about saying anything nice at all about Ranbir Kapoor (who is quite acknowledged as a good actor) due to clearly personal reasons. But she goes on such a rampage when Shah Rukh Khan perhaps has had more experience working with Anushka and was able to comment on her abilities more. Not to mention that Katrina is't even a good actress, especially during Jab Tak Hain Jaan....forcing a compliment like that was petty. Imagine if Ranbir had been that petty back, I applaud the way he handled that without bringing attention to her long and unnecessary reaction.

Vikrant stole the show from Taapsee in Haseen Dilruba. His turn as the too simple everyman who evolves to have shades of grey and morbid tendencies was very compelling. This guy certainly deserves more.
Wish he wasn’t as big of a POS as Tapsee and didn’t incite violence during the CAA and insult Yami Gautam by calling her ‘Radhe Maa’ just for having an Indian wedding.
When it looks as though the people she's worked extensively with aren't comfortable with the jabs being taken at them either, it comes off as rude and unnecessary. I'm sure she wouldn't tolerate the same attitude back.
I found it really odd that in both Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra's roundtables Tapsee Pannu is invited for Haseen Dilruba but Vikrant Massey isn't. I am a fan Tapsee but in that movie , Vikrant Massey was the show stealer.
Vahi toh? I don't dislike tapsee, but her performance is repetitive, but vikrant's character was haunting. The switch in personality was so well done in the movie, he was absolutely the best performer. Unfortunately tapsee is more popular, and the movie starts from her perspective so they didn't pay as much attention to vikrant. But he should've been invited. It's totally unfair. These interviews always favor more popular ones.
The Akshay Khanna segments weren't awkward at all, infact they were hilarious. He just doesn't like to speak much but he never seemed disinterested, he was actively listening to his fellow actors and when he did chime in with his blunt answers, it was damn funny.
There was another moment during the netflix roundtable when Raveena was going on and on about how Aranyak is trending at the number 1 position on Netflix and was obsessing about the number 1 spot when Konkona intervened and said just because something is at number 1 doesn't mean it's good. It was definitely an awkward moment and sooo true! It just highlighted the maturity levels/difference of maturity levels of actors on that roundtable.
Yet when SRK did the same she overreacted! Lol! While even I agree gentle wasn't the best phrase to describe Katrina in that situation, even Katrina could have reacted more maturely and let SRK explain himself but she just shut him off.
@@arjunnair8037 I mean gentle is not a bad phrase to describe someone...but she expected more from srk...but srk didn't.. And then she started crying...😂
Katrina might not go down in history as one of the greatest artistes but would certainly always be known for her work ethic, resilience, poise and grace.
Mashallah what grace how she answered the question about ranbir. Shady af is what we call it in my country ... katrina kaif fans are always coming with this shit that she isn't a good actress but she got grace and has good work ethic that ain't a talent...
There was actually an overload of energy lol! And that question from Ayushmann was so odd! Could have asked about any major intense scene but no, Chashma kaise pheka OP XD
Katrina's answer about Ranbir was Savage rather than cringe. I laughed. She basically roasted him with or without intention 😂 Also Tapsee was clearly talking about how there's no big name male actor & neither does she care about that fact especially because it's not male centric, whereas some people still reject movies like that just because there's no big name attatched to it, not commenting on the the co-actor's ability itself rather making a point about how people choose based on names instead of talent. And konkona was supporting tapsee's comment by adding to her that the hero was such a good actor even though there were people who rejected the movie because of that.
Exactly.. Taapsee statement if you hear in isolation maybe misconstrue as not respecting the co actor but then again if you think in the context of what she said which is actress rejecting the script because male star opposite not being big enough and she dosnt care if the actor is big or no she picks movie for story and script role not for the co actor... Which is actually good right? I really don't see anything wrong with it atleast from my perspective...
@@rajatrequest yup, this time it feels like anmol misconstrued a rather obviously smooth interaction just to add to this video which is kinda sad to see.
And if one look the at the promotional interviews for Haseen Dilruba in few of them she herself said for her Vikrant was the stand out performer in the movie.. And everyone agrees...he is that good...
I think she just made up that point to suite her narative, in recent times some had done movies with small actors and may have many factors to reject movies live dates, story director also or having to many choices. literally vilkrant is a much better actor than tapsee
With regards to Katrina Kaif, Let's look at it from another perspective, a foreign actor with zero knowledge of hindi, comes here, works really really hard, has been in the best songs ever choreographed, holds her own in dancing and fitness, gets cast across the biggest stars in every single movie, and establishes her name. Yes her acting might not be the best but who exactly are we comparing it with? She has done the best she can in the circumstances given to her, and has bagged the biggest of movies and earned her livelihood and the right to be called a star. So I think she is entitled to call out on not being appreciated, because who are we kidding? No one is doing her a favor by casting, atleast not anymore, unlike many many actors out there. She is cast because she is bloody good for business and she draws in the crowd, maybe not alone, but significantly.
The Taapsee part sounds cringey while you look at the trimmed parts here but once you're watching the whole interview, you can understand that she wasn't being disrespectful to him. She just meant that a lot of people turned down the role cause the male lead wasn't a huge bollywood star (she wasn't talking about his acting talent). And if you watch the whole thing, you can also see that right after Konkona praises Vikrant, Taapsee also does the same. It looks really weird here without knowing the whole context🤦🏻♀️

Be it Death in the Gunj, Ramprasad ki Tervi, Mirzapur or anything else, the guy definitely needs more credit for his work.
I just went and watched it again , the main point was why other female actors rejected it and the reasons being maybe a not well known actor, she didn't say he was a bad actor at all, and later on with proud she says look at the hero.
Just want to point out that Tapsee -konkana thing , the question to Tapsee was why she chose that film And she replied because the central character was ' haseen dilruba' . No where she discredit vikrant' s character. Effect of co actor on your acting performance was also the point they were discussing so konkana pointed out here the coactor was too good. It was nothing like awkward or rivalry the way you presented it .
You missed the one where Sunny was super professional but the interviewer was horrible to her. I agree with Katrina, as you said, it might have not been SRK's intention (we all know how cool he is), but she's right in saying that none of the adjectives described her work ethic.
But if she isnt known for being a good actress, then hardworking is the most a person can call her but she didn't seem to pleased with that either . U cant fish out compliments from people .....considering that she didnt say a single word during ranbirs question makes it even more hypocritical since he is quite a talented actor who has already proven his worth and range in the industry. So that was actually quite unnecessary
Katrina isn't a good actress and it doesn't seem like she puts much efforts in her roles, so what was srk going to compliment her on? No Vidya Balan, Shefali Shah or Nimisha Sajayan in this year's roundtable but Taapsee Pannu for two utterly forgettable dumpsterfires. We must take these "roundtables" as seriously as Akshye Khanna took.
Taapsee has this egoistic attitude about her , like she's the only one feminist in the industry. Sometimes I find her interviews very self complacent. I watched this particular roundtable episode and she complimented Sania regarding her curly hair also adding she should be the only curly hair girl present here(ofcourse referring to Kangana) I think that wasn't needed. Also hats off to Faridoon for being so patient , I respect him even more when I saw him interviewing Rakhi Sawant and listening to her amusing responses without even smiling.
So glad u brought up Taapsee’s pompous reply about Haseen Dilruba…I literally cringed the moment I heard this statement…Also unpopular opinion but lately I find Taapsee over confident about herself and lil arrogant…the way she spoke evn at Anupama Chopra’s interview… I afraid her fall is just round the corner .
Not an unpopular opinion, you're absolutely right. Even I feel the same about her. Over the years she has just turned into this over confident hypocritical woman. That's it!
I agree a lot. I have seen both the interviews, she gave some superiority complex vibes over other actors.. Might be, her getting invited to most of the round tables every year have instilled some kind of attitude in her

I’m just happy that Katrina stood up for herself and said that describing her as ‘hardworking’ is generic. More power to her! (Edit: I want to clarify that this is not just SRK ‘insulting’ her which I’m sure he did not, but just people in general)
But do you really want an actor to make up stuff and improv for the sake of it, just to compliment you. If it is not coming out organically then why force it.
When she didn't have anything to say about ranbir then it was a wow moment for her fans and when someone else didn't have anything good to say about her, she stood for herself and blah blah blah. You get what you give.
Katrina's grace in the most trying of situations is really admirable. I am happy she has finally settled with a person who has no baggage whatsoever and whose love for her seems genuine.
Also the Tapsee bit is taken out of context, please go and watch the entire thing. She was referring to how other actress backed out of the movie and right after what konkana said she praised him too. Sorry Jammy this is misleading in many ways, we know that may not have been your intention but you can notice in comments section. Also Raveena being bit cocky several times in same interview was ignored.
1. Akshay Khanna was the most intelligent of all those who were in the roundtable. So, you can expect his reaction. 2. Dhanush speaks his mind. You do not need to be diplomatic in order to please your co-stars. 3. Katrina Kaif is probably the most intelligent when it comes to giving interviews. Not many acknowledge that. 4. The strangest in this video is Tapsee. Vikrant Massey is the most underrated actor of his generation. In every film/series he has done, he stands out no matter what the role is and the duration of it. In Haseen Dilruba, he lives up to the expectation of the title, while Tapsee falls down. Tapsee was nowhere in the South. As soon as she got bigger roles in Bollywood, that arrogance(that film runs because of her) got into her head.
Prabhu Chawla has one of the most creepiest smiles. His smile reminds of Fahad faasil from kumbalangi nights in the scene where he peeps when his wife and sister is talking.
I loved Ko-Ko for taking a stand defending vikrant dude is a phenomenal actor.....Tapsee's remark on that was quite ignorant and the irony is vikrant deserved more to be on that roundtable than tapsee for the same film 😂🤦

@@prajwalpratyaksh the problem is not being ignorant to critical criteria of Massey but the absolute denial of her co-actor's role and only giving shit about her own part which was the pivotal role.....
Some actresses want to be in a movie because of a popular co-star even if the role is pretty mediocre. This isn't wrong; however if an actress wants a role to be centred around her, this isn't wrong either. That is what tapsee said but was conveyed differently and sounded cocky. She didn't bother to question the talent/popularity of the actor because she played a main part in it.
@@aakarshverma5793 she meant that she doesn't care if the opposite male lead is a huge box office star or not ( which was one of the reasons why so many people before Taapsee rejected that role).

She displayed exactly what she felt. 2ndly, Tapsee has been misrepresented here she was wondering why many heroines had rejected the movie when the female protagonist had a sizable role and her reply was regarding that. If you watch the entire interview she speaks very fondly of Vikrant.

Compared to what actually happened in Tapsi’s case, I was shocked when I saw your version where you categorically removed initial and last part of the conversation twisting the context completely to make your point. I guess one should be smart enough to realize the power of fact-check in the age of internet.
Taapsee's intention in all probability wasn't to disregard Massey's talent. Maybe the manner in which she put forth her response seemed very patronizing.
I’m a Taapsee fan since she’s very clear on the thought that a woman can lead the film. And she chooses such movies on purpose. And also coz her thoughts match mine. I like Kangana’s work and that’s about it. In your clip you seemed to have conveniently cut out the part where she acknowledges Konkana’s comment agreeing about Vikrant being awesome, which he absolutely is. Based on other videos as well, it appears you might have an unconscious bias against Taapsee and for Kangana. Not that anything’s wrong with it. Just bringing it up since it might be in your blind spot and hoping you’d do better with the tippanni part. Stay safe.
I mean Kangana and not Konkana. It's not simply pertaining to this video. There are other reviews of his for Taapsee's and Kangana's films where some generosity can be seen towards Kangana which makes film reviews for Taapsee's films seem much more scrutinized.

its ‘haseen dilruba’ centred around the heroine.

Guess there’s no accounting for taste.

Also Tapsee was clearly talking about how there's no big name male actor & neither does she care about that fact especially because it's not male centric, whereas some people still reject movies like that just because there's no big name attatched to it, not commenting on the the co-actor's ability itself rather making a point about how people choose based on names instead of talent.
3. Katrina Kaif is probably the most intelligent when it comes to giving interviews. Not many acknowledge that.
4. The strangest in this video is Tapsee. Vikrant Massey is the most underrated actor of his generation. You forgot one from coffee with Karan when kangana first time appeared along with anil n Sunil and how she was continuously demeaned for her English or her ex's and even asking her about plastic surgery..but how she gave it back when she came with Saif was historic moment ever..
Claps to Kangana for this. Her historic comeback on Koffee with Karan changed the tide of Bollywood which was very much needed
I loveeeee Katrina’s long pause 😂🤣🤣🤣
how can you blame ranbir?? She was at fault the entire time.... ranbir was literally a victim......ranbir was too good for someone as cheap as Katrina
Katrina kaif comes across as one the most genuine and honest person in the industry which is a rare thing in bollywood! She is firm on her ground, that's what I love about her! I love her personality.
Sajid Khan talking about the art of cinema is something that India needs today
U should definitely start the roundtable series with actors Vicky Kaushal (Sardar Udham),Kangana Ranaut (Thalaivii),Kriti Sanon(Mimi), Vidya Balan(Sherni),Sidharth Malhotra (Shershaah) and Sanya Malhotra (Pagglait).
Excellent But i am not sure if kangana will come 🤔 if they invite her
@@ParanormalPodcastIndiaHub she did give an interview to Anmol 4 months ago
Absolutely great choice!
Can’t stand Tapsee and Sara Ali khan . They’re just unbearable.
Kangana ranaut will surely make the interview awkward as hell 👍
Compared to what actually happened in Tapsi’s case, I was shocked when I saw your version where you categorically removed initial and last part of the conversation twisting the context completely to make your point. I guess one should be smart enough to realize the power of fact-check in the age of internet.
EXACTLY
Lack the urge to contribute to silly and surface level conversations hilariously admirable😂
I like the way Katrina stands for herself irrespective of who is in front of her
Instead of chirping, crickets hanged themselves in background from sheer cringe at display during Katrina's silent treatment. Damn brutal!
Why only crickets? Mere mortals would perish before this silence
Taapsee's intention in all probability wasn't to disregard Massey's talent. Maybe the manner in which she put forth her response seemed very patronizing.
Katrina: Has nothing good to say about Ranbir
Also Katrina: sad when SRK has nothing good to say about her
Don't you know their past
Katrina for some reason has been given a pass to be rude. I don't know why
Stay safe.
well yeah, it was taken out of context. Even jammy is not free of bias it seems.
I agree 👍
Yes, your right.
Kangana? Did you mean Konkana?
I mean Kangana and not Konkana. It's not simply pertaining to this video. There are other reviews of his for Taapsee's and Kangana's films where some generosity can be seen towards Kangana which makes film reviews for Taapsee's films seem much more scrutinized.
3:39 Akshaye Khanna's expression be like "Kin chewtiyon ke beech phas gaya yaar!" 🤣
Tried and Refused Productions is probably the most unique channel of all. Like on paper, it seems really common but once you start watching it, you understand the difference.
Soooo true
Happy new year! I’ve been following ur channel since 2017 and I’ve seen it grow into what it is right now . And the work you do is just amazing!! Keep it up!! Love your videos!
THANK YOU! ❤️
“I could kiss yOU right now”
“No, sorry this is a family channel”
“Oh so you can ask about it, but can’t do it”
Lmao, savage. Didn’t expect Hritik Roshan to be so quick witted. Makes him even hotter!
I also had the exact same thought when I saw Akshaye Khanna in actor's round table...jst sitting there Knew nothing, remembered nothing...and literally want to talk about nothing😂
Taapsee seems to be riding an ego wave lately. How can you not even mention name of such a brilliant actor as Vikrant while discussing about him! She needs to understand the movie was not only about her character and Vikrant (in fact Harshwardhan Rane too!) had an equally important role.
Still better than kangana in terms of behavior

Last laugh? You do know the video has srk, hrithik and ranbir right? Who combined have about 15-18 best actor filmfare awards. While katrina sits at zero. The only thing she should be laughing at are the reviews to her character based performances.
@@tarunreddy2031 dumbo whos talking about movies?? all your srks hritiks and ranbirs have had multiple flings while still being attached to their partners.

Vikrant was so good in Haseen Dilruba.. That I didn't even noticed Tapsee. He deserves a lot 👏
I personally don't think dhanush and sara's interview was awkward at all. Dhanush answered precisely and sara was in her total zone.
The moment is awkward becoz audience hate Sonam more than Sara yet Dhanush preferred Sonam over Sara!!
Naah sara's reaction made dhanush awkward he was uneasy and felt the need to explain himself afterwards
