Sax solo courtesy of Pete Christlieb who was in the old Johnny Carson Tonight Show band. Produced by Gary Katz, The credit for all this beautiful recording goes to Roger Nichols. He and the other engineers that worked on this album won Grammy awards in 1977. Another fine reaction Tim. 😊

This song was always coming out of every dormitory, fraternity, and sorority window at Indiana University in the late seventies!

Imagine hearing this in quad with some Klipschorn speakers at about 1500 Watts from a nice amp, with some 12" woofers perfectly recreating the bass sounds. Almost Transcendent. 🙌

    Excellent explanation!
By the way, could they have killed the beast with their steely knives?

Seems I hear the drums differently than I remember them. Specifically, the snare. Caught some slight phasing. Glad you're enjoying the experience!

Every American should acquaint themselves, for better or worse, the insights of Donald and Walter of the American zeitgeist of the 70's. Better than any novel or exposé. They sum up the culture of the time in song. Academia, go away! You are so divorced from reality. But then, we know you are bought lackeys.
