Great video. I only take issue with the quarter zip sweater. These are an absolute cliche in the US. A "casual Fridays" compromise between formal and casual, they're noncommittal, for the man who is skittish to display any unique style. They are so commonplace and there is just something very bland about them.
I need help finding suspenders that have leather loops at the end for buttons. I literally can't find a flattering pair in black and another in brown anywhere. any brands you recommend? I also wanted to get all my pants adjusted so I can wear suspenders with them like you
@@positiveliberty Hi! I got my pair from a local store that was selling products by Albert Thurston. Albert Thurston is the man who invented suspenders so I would fully recommend the brand. Not sure if they sell them directly as well or just through third parties, but they do have a website where you can check out some models. Cheers!
@@benpuffer7891 Good luck with it! For fabrics (especially if you want to pair it with a tweed jacket) you can never go wrong with tweed, but I would also look into regular wool or flannel. For patterns you can never go wrong with a simple herringbone and the colors I would recommend are brown, tan, burgundy and green
@@alternateunreleasedshellac505 I generally prefer longer overcoats (if possible even reaching beyond the knee) as in my opinion they look better and have definitely been around for longer. The only positive side they have is, as kevin has mentioned, that you might have an easier time driving while wearing one, as it will not get in your way as much
@ very well i respect that Taking critique well and even saying when one is wrong is certainly not a skill very well spread in today’s society which makes it even more respectable if one has it if I may also add a little of inspiration I wouldn’t go as far as to call it to critique based on the style tip. I totally agree that a coat is a very elegant thing. If not the most elegant thing man can wear in the winter months though I personally might get that while in today’s world very short coats seem to be quite so common that is as common as coats are in general which is not as common as one we wish which is why I might at that a long coat well in my personal opinion bring a lot more elegance grace and will also just effectively be much warmer as it covers nearly your entire body instead of only your torso and a little bit of your legs oh and I am glad you said the thing with the skinny lapel’s as well as the natural power while there are formal nouns that are quite big and even though I would never wear them there are some that do not look entirely foolish the same cannot be said about slim lapels you’re nearly always going to end up looking like someone who walked into a clothing store and just bought the next best suit of the rack I also couldn’t agree more with the double breasted part I have a long double breasted winter coat with vast peak lapels to and I totally adore it’s elegance and flair, especially when combined with a double breasted peak lapels suit underneath which goes for the majority of suits I wear I like to let myself be inspired by his Majesty King Charles as well as as the esteemed herculle poirot from the 2021 movie

Looking to get my first waistcoat. Trying to find a fabric/pattern/color that I can wear on its own, but also wear under a future tweed jacket.

What do you think about overcoats, trench coat by shorter guys?
Keep it above the knee is the general rule there.
What are your thoughts on shorter overcoats?
I think they are useful if you often use a car instead of walking, otherwise if you walk most of the times you should get a long overcoat
