    Хорошая штука. У нас на таких медведи работают после того, как выпьют водки и сломают балалайку. 👍

    Nice, I would put longer cylinder for more downward curl though. Very nice job.

  • @robherch2312
    @robherch2312 9 років тому +1

    Need to move the agling braces for the curl. if you moved the top bars' mount point about 1.5-2.5" closer to the bucket hinge, then you should be able to get a reasonable curl without having to change/remount anything else.

    Anyone else notice there isnt one rock or tree root in that dirt?? I wonder how it would perform if it hit some resistance??

    This would be painful to run compared to my case 580 backhoe! Any resistance at all except the loose soil this guy digs in, and the thing would be all over the place. You need some weight on the outriggers/the machine or that bucket aint going to dig shit but sandy soil.

      Will you sell me your Case 580 for $3500, matching the price of this trencher from Harbor Freight?

    That thing needs a longer stroke cylinder for the curl...

    friend owned an old one of these, professional one. but I don't know what happened to it after they sold the farm. I never knew about the clearance auction until a week later.

    It looks like all the weight is at the rear,and the tongue has to be forced down on the ball hitch!
    Or does the arm come off the digger for transport?
    Works pretty good,what size engine is on it and how much is the pump rated at in gpm?

  • @JurisKankalis
    @JurisKankalis 9 років тому +2

    fuck, man! this is not the worst i've seen! nice one! most other builds utilize much 5 mm plates, which are ass to weld, this one does away with cutting two walls of the square pipe and fitting a smaller square pipe for the next linkage. not shitty, i'd say! and the bucket has nice "fuck you local tractor dealer" written all over it as it's diy, i'd still go with more typical bucket depth, not this shallow, although it looks fairly comfortable for softer gravel. Planning to build my own excavator, hate the word backhoe, for digging for the house basements, etc. You don't by any chance have any plans, arm length, and stabilizer pad geometry, if there is any? suppose you do away with the same trusty 6,5 hp honda 4-tacter and some 2000 psi from the pump? Along with.. what's that bugger - waste valve, eh? for feeding the excess pressure to res.? would appreciate any help. thanks, man.

    I know nothing about this machine, but it seems like if it goes up against resistance on a level slightly higher than topsoil then it stops working. Does it have different settings where it can bare down? (I really know zero about what I'm talking about)

    I have been interested in building one of these but I'm curious where do you buy the hydraulics for this?

    • @ToreDL87
      @ToreDL87 4 роки тому +1

      Amazon/Ebay/Hydraulics shops.
      IMO best solution is to get an old tractor, like a Ford 8N or similar, cheap spare parts still available for these, easily rebuildable hydraulic pumps.
      And get an old Farman/similar sized backhoe for it.
      This is a setup you can actually do some heavy work with, towable backhoes are too lightweight for rocky soil.
      Get a used frontloader for it (most people let you have old equipment like that if you just come pick it up) and you can shuffle the dirt back in without spending 13,5 eternities.
      There are standards to hydraulic cylinders that makes that kind of stuff fully rebuildable and serviceable still so don't get turned off.
      If you're really hung up about using a towable backhoe simply get a cheap used trailer you can drive the tractor on top of and boom, off you go, no point making something harder than it needs to be.
      Nothing to it ^^

    Every backhoe video I see is someone basically digging in sand or loose soil. Would be nice to see someone digging in the real world with rocks and roots. Just sayin.

      I have almost same looking backhoe, but with almost 500cc engine and 60mm hydraulic cylinders at 200bar and it is quite powerfull. Ofcourse, it can not tear the 5cm diameter roots or 0.5m rocks, but it is working pretty good.

  • @stinky986

    I agree with the others, your curl isn't the best, maybe you could remount the hyd cylinder. The title reads digging a pond, that soil looks like it's sandy
