What people don't under stand is. If you had to pay someone to do this pond it would cost as much as the machine cost or more. This way you have the digger and when done it paid for it self. With this you didn't buy speed. You bought something that can do the job. But it will take time
Good job you handle machine well not jumping around which is problem I have some time though my machine is bit faster than yours. The project I'm on at the moment is clearing some land for a caravan as you said biggest problems with these machines is having to move stuff a few times 😃 But they can do the job I started moving what I dug yesterday by filling bucket then hop sideways 3hops to dump over a fence and make a hedge working well. I did a job in 4 hrs what contactor quoted for 1hr It was slower but I already have the machine and I'm 71 so have the time so cost zero. Keep up the good work, digging trees up no problems but I've hit a problem with the gate post broken of on the ground that's providing a tough test😂
Yea moving the dirt takes extra time but it's worth it. If I throttle up higher it will run faster but then I find myself making it "jump around" so I just work a little slower. Thanks for watching.
I don't care what a machine looks like if you have a machine use it it's a lot quicker than pick and shovel. It'll save ware and tare on your back / body also
Have you try putting a 4point 1 Hydraulic Pump to replace the 2 point 7 they put on harbor freight trecher That way you can use 2 Handel's at same time You can get it at Hydraulic one out of Texas or maybe it's one Hydraulic It's bit faster but makes machine far more efficient sorry to get name confused lolol
I'm still running the stock pump. I really don't mind the "slow speed" of the machine. I'm old and slow too. LOL I'm worried that if I speed it up I may be more apt to break something. Thanks for watching.
Yea, it's a pain, it's heavy and it's messy, but it's a running spring that I'm digging out so I don't have much choice. Water is coming up out of ground everywhere I dig. That's good for the pond but really makes digging harder. The HF trencher is getting it done thou. Thanks for watching.
I figure it's better than taking in a 5000 lb backhoe. Only thing better would be a huge excavator with a long reach but for a homeowner with more time than money a HF setup is good.
Have you sank it yet in the muck??? In our back pasture we have a spring that had back filled. The old track loader that I use to run all the time had its engine go down. Anyway me and a friend walked , jumped , tried to dig with a shovel where I drove the crawly off in. It was like a two foot crust of dry brittle then my loader fell in just to the oil pan. Our neighbor had a big John Deere dozer at the time I called him at work , he ran home and snatched me out.
@@coburnlowman Oh yea, I sank the trencher three times. Two of them I was able to reach hard, dry land with the bucket and pull it out. The third time I had to drag it out with the winch on my truck. LOL

@@DoubleMFarmHomestead me too almost 70 but it does make it a little bit stronger also comes in handy with roots and few rocks

It's a 13" bucket.
You should have bought the trencher THEN ordered the water
Didn't have much choice. Digging a hole where there are several springs coming out of the ground makes it hard to dig a "dry" hole.🙂
