Not everyone will do their DD, and will just take someone’s word for it. You have a greater responsibility to your viewers to provide information from all angles of an aspect, not just the narrative you’d like to fulfill or that would stir up the most drama.

I played like crazy and I'm "only" Level 55. Having it wiped away does suck, although early wipe is the most fun when basically everyone is a scav lol
I remember PUBG being ruined by streamers. Streamers dominated the entire match and they mocked the players they beat as skill-issues. In a fast-turning game like CoD, this is fine, but in a 0 or 100 game like Tarkov, a lot of mediocre gamers get exhausted.

The EFT streaming community is a gatekept community full of secrets, and lies. I know first hand about this community being a graphical creator for them. The rabbit hole of the EFT streaming community goes insanely deep and its probably one of the most scummiest content farms. If you want to be a streamer for EFT you have to abide by the rules of the gatekept streaming community. Believe me if you want or not, I guess it doesn't really matter to me. Ngl it took me awhile to finally figure it out, but after being apart of the inside community I found out QUICK.

I'll be real I started playing single player to talk about because a I had really bad internet like really bad I was using a hotspot and B I suck at this game like I'm not going to lie I absolutely am the worst player at tarkov so I found a single player version of the game to enjoy and I enjoyed it no need for like my crappy internet to kick me within a minute of loading into a raid and losing all my stuff but as the cheating epidemic has like started to grow and grow and grow and grow I am so much happier playing single-player tarkov

I always found it disturbing how a steamer being banned is almost always considered a mistake and a for a regular gamer being unbanned is essentially impossible. It's funny because a streamer is objectively far more likely to cheat, as they almost all seem to have narcissistic personality disorder. To put yourself on such a pedestal and except free money for being some random idiot playing the game and providing literally no entertainment beyond their few cheated clips. Most of them despise their fans and use cheats, it's a RACKET. It also explains why they just tell bold faced lies, like in your face total lies and expect their fans to believe it. I wouldn't be suprised if 80% or more of streamers are like this and cheat. Can you name one who isn't?
I cheated too in my teens. Americas Army and CS 1.6. I only started doing it because I suspected extreme amounts of cheaters in those games, and I was proven absolutely right. When you use cheats yourself you can VERY easily tell who is cheating and who is not. Nowadays its harder, because people hide it much better, but I still know how cheaters act and what the cheats are capable of. Even back then they had human behavior simulators already. They are far more sophisticated nowadays, of course. But anyway, yeah, as soon as you say you cheated in the past, youre giving people like that an attack vector they can use to justify their stupid stuff and scoff at the stuff you say. I would never cheat again, but I know people like that would cheat in a heartbeat, if they would be safe 100%, if they arent anyway.
I came to the conclusion alot of streamers are Narcissists and are only in it for money and not for the Camaraderie of gaming. Corporations have them by the balls, Sacriel is another example. I’ve hated cheaters since I started playing online games, they are what drove me to console only now adays. I get that you cheated in the past and you’re in redemption now, but it’s still true that you ruined the game for others and you can never really leave that behind. Ill be the one who says it... Streamers can be a cancererous tumor in gaming. If they become popular, it draws all sorts of people. Of those people they draw, some want to "be like them" and some will cheat to obtain that level of "play", others get frustrated. The common player just gets stuck between it all as it chokes the life and enjoyment away from the game.
Currently studying law and more importantly contract law under the british system (works for Singapore, Aus, UK etc). I have to say, I love the research that has been done, I also like the fact you address your own personal shortcomings (which in being mature, you moved on from) which is why I respect the decision on the last streamer who after you caught cheating, came clean, stood back and switched games on his own accord. A simple conversation can have an immense impact. Would be interesting to research with the wayback machine is see how recently or when the “paid-promotion” tag was added to these videos because if its left out on accident or done an hour or two after the video comes out, I doubt there would be a case, maybe a little in damages, but if its found it was done purposely, legally speaking…. Theyre, scuse the french, “up shit creek without a paddle”. Sorry, I’m just very Australian haha. Furthermore, if the contract given to you is proven to be real (can be verified by the email log, and the email that sent it to you being confirmed to be from the GearUP company) they’re are majorly open to litigation in breach of the ACCC. Furthermore, if multiple accounts can be taken of similar contracts in how they’re written from GearUP, I wouldnt be surprised if they ended up banned in common law countries (UK,SG,AUS) Oh and another quick note, mum was a nurse for a long bloody time, so I learnt a lot about psychology, not professionally though. But when someones lying, is extremely common to go after the accuser, like what sheef, pest, tigz did. Actually have to say, you have a decent ground for a defamation case on against him for his libel (in the short clip you showed where he’s in the room looting and finds a clock in the oven). What I do find amusing is, these guys all have copious amounts of money and status that they need to upkeep for sponsors, future ad deals. So a question I give you to ask them is, if they believe so strongly in themselves that they committed no wrong doing and you infact have lied, then why has a defamation suit not been made?
Streamers for EFT, whether they like it or not, now have a responsibility to be a voice for the community, and not just their own wants out of the game. I can’t remember if I said this in another comment, but I’ll say it again because I say it every fucking time this topic comes up. At the end of every wipe, it’s the only time streamers and the rest of the community are in the same group, “game kinda sucks, we really need content, these bugs have existed for years, and cheaters are ruining the game.” Then BSG announces that the content they promised a dogs lifespan ago is finally entering the game, along with 3 guns nobody fucking asked for, and streamers cream their pants and start simping for the game again. Bugs never get patched that have existed for ages. New content arrives riddled with MORE bugs and broken content. And the new guns often just end up being a new meta for streamers to post on their YT shorts channel for more money to grift off of the game they don’t fucking care about. Tarkov’s a terrible fucking game, and it’s sad the SPT, a community of people who add content to the game FOR FREE, can add content to the game before BSG does when they announced it 5 fucking years ago. Mostly streamer are cheaters and streamer are advertiser for BSG that’s why they don’t ban streamer . If … if any streamer gets ban by chance they unban him by saying it was technical issue. They did this last year. I won’t take names of streamers they unbanned them
I have no problem with certain kinds of cheating; specifically griefing. Flying around maps, esp, aimbot, all used to ruin the fun of someone who takes the game too serious, or a streamer, is not only morally justifiable, but morally imperative. I used to cheat in 1.6 like 20-odd years ago, mic spamming 'happy' by jimmy soul while I teleported around knifing everyone to death. shit was great. But that was just regular dudes I was fuckin' with. Cheaters today can fuck with people who rely on the game they're playing to pay their bills, which makes fucking with them so much better.
i was a long time streamer of tarkov i started streaming it back in 2017 after my 1st wipe i started playing with viewers tho the number of viewers who was cheating i had to stop playing with viewers as i did not want to risk me getting banned or getting called out for playing with cheaters. i know im not a great skilled player i suck but i have fun playing just at times i popped off if im in the right place at the right time but then you see streamers who are running with known cheaters just to make sure they all ways win the fight piss's me off 😤
Many streamers that are shift W gamers and have many hours in the game don't care for the other 99% of people who play the game completely different. They want the game developers to cater to their playstyle and that is essentially ruining the game for other people and game lifespan itself. I do mostly blame Nikita for not sticking to his plan and just develop the game how his vision was initially. People would love that way more not so much the narcissistic streamers.
They know their team mate is cheating. I've done it before. One guy would have the cheat and stream the map cheat from their laptop to discord and everyone would have access to it. It's quite amazing how they don't need to cheat because their friends supply the discord capture lol

He saw the competition for 5 seconds and began pumping out QoL updates for the game but then when ABI dropped off he stopped putting that level of effort into the game. He DJ's in his spare time. He spends too much effort partying and screwing off. He doesn't play the game much. I don't think even the people in his company really play it much. But they appear to want to enact their vision of a game of which they don't play much which they aren't even doing that as he's fucking off and dj'ing. If anything they should be taking feedback, via the Survey system, to understand what the actual players want. The last part was an attack on them being to lazy to even enact their vision of a game they don't play. If what I said was that lost on people I should modify my comments but it's kind of "if you know you know" type of deal...

cheating is the end if you let it be, its an uphill battle and you lose the trust of many, I get it, but i've also had a friend who cheats in tons of games for most of my life. He's honest about it at least. He doesn't use them maliciously against others and keeps it to single player or the occasional co-op after we've beaten it legitimately. I always enjoy the insight someone who has cheated can bring to that side of things.
Went back to pvp today ( 6000 hours ) and 3 out of 5 raids i ran into a cheater. just knew where i was . i didnt make a sound. didnt kill his teammates or anything,
More cheaters in Tarkov than any game. Really seems like 65%-70% of all matches you get into cheaters. Me personally I don't understand need and want to cheat so badly if you're not good at a game just play a different game. At this point they got other extraction shooters that aren't as hard. I don't play tarkov much mainly because I'm not that good at it at the moment followed by close second that there's so many cheaters.

I cheated in EFT so what but it showed me how flawed the game is and made me fall in love with EFT all over again after Cheating. It is the life cycle of all EFT Player. We go in with no cheats > get shat on > get mad > then we Load back in > die off the rip > dip our toe into cheating > find out the game is flawed > fall inlove with the game we first started and back to dieing but now we are laughing and running kedr kits. Cheats still dont have Leg armor.

Personally I really like the videos where you investigate a person that ends up being legit. It's interesteing to watch along and see if I can come to the same conclusion, and it also shows both biases of some people (sometimes including myself, it's easy to see a highlight and say "yep, he's cheating") as well as the honesty of you going through the vod and not jumping to conclusions. Also, as someone who has cheated in the past in a different game, the "poison the well" strat people use against you really just backfires, cause it shows very tribal behavior. Like I can't ever change my mind or grow as a person, "once a cheater forever a cheater" and whatever, I can go into my own corner and they will always hate me. Well, how am I supposed to show any sort of sympathy, trust, or friendliness to someone who wouldn't show the same to me? I played like crazy and I'm "only" Level 55. Having it wiped away does suck, although early wipe is the most fun when basically everyone is a scav lol

Streamers dominated the entire match and they mocked the players they beat as skill-issues.
In a fast-turning game like CoD, this is fine, but in a 0 or 100 game like Tarkov, a lot of mediocre gamers get exhausted.

The EFT streaming community is a gatekept community full of secrets, and lies. I know first hand about this community being a graphical creator for them. The rabbit hole of the EFT streaming community goes insanely deep and its probably one of the most scummiest content farms. If you want to be a streamer for EFT you have to abide by the rules of the gatekept streaming community. Believe me if you want or not, I guess it doesn't really matter to me. Ngl it took me awhile to finally figure it out, but after being apart of the inside community I found out QUICK.

I'll be real I started playing single player to talk about because a I had really bad internet like really bad I was using a hotspot and B I suck at this game like I'm not going to lie I absolutely am the worst player at tarkov so I found a single player version of the game to enjoy and I enjoyed it no need for like my crappy internet to kick me within a minute of loading into a raid and losing all my stuff but as the cheating epidemic has like started to grow and grow and grow and grow I am so much happier playing single-player tarkov

I always found it disturbing how a steamer being banned is almost always considered a mistake and a for a regular gamer being unbanned is essentially impossible. It's funny because a streamer is objectively far more likely to cheat, as they almost all seem to have narcissistic personality disorder. To put yourself on such a pedestal and except free money for being some random idiot playing the game and providing literally no entertainment beyond their few cheated clips. Most of them despise their fans and use cheats, it's a RACKET. It also explains why they just tell bold faced lies, like in your face total lies and expect their fans to believe it. I wouldn't be suprised if 80% or more of streamers are like this and cheat. Can you name one who isn't?
I cheated too in my teens. Americas Army and CS 1.6. I only started doing it because I suspected extreme amounts of cheaters in those games, and I was proven absolutely right.
When you use cheats yourself you can VERY easily tell who is cheating and who is not. Nowadays its harder, because people hide it much better, but I still know how cheaters act and what the cheats are capable of. Even back then they had human behavior simulators already. They are far more sophisticated nowadays, of course.
But anyway, yeah, as soon as you say you cheated in the past, youre giving people like that an attack vector they can use to justify their stupid stuff and scoff at the stuff you say.
I would never cheat again, but I know people like that would cheat in a heartbeat, if they would be safe 100%, if they arent anyway.

Ill be the one who says it... Streamers can be a cancererous tumor in gaming. If they become popular, it draws all sorts of people. Of those people they draw, some want to "be like them" and some will cheat to obtain that level of "play", others get frustrated. The common player just gets stuck between it all as it chokes the life and enjoyment away from the game.
Currently studying law and more importantly contract law under the british system (works for Singapore, Aus, UK etc). I have to say, I love the research that has been done, I also like the fact you address your own personal shortcomings (which in being mature, you moved on from) which is why I respect the decision on the last streamer who after you caught cheating, came clean, stood back and switched games on his own accord. A simple conversation can have an immense impact.
Would be interesting to research with the wayback machine is see how recently or when the “paid-promotion” tag was added to these videos because if its left out on accident or done an hour or two after the video comes out, I doubt there would be a case, maybe a little in damages, but if its found it was done purposely, legally speaking…. Theyre, scuse the french, “up shit creek without a paddle”. Sorry, I’m just very Australian haha.
Furthermore, if the contract given to you is proven to be real (can be verified by the email log, and the email that sent it to you being confirmed to be from the GearUP company) they’re are majorly open to litigation in breach of the ACCC. Furthermore, if multiple accounts can be taken of similar contracts in how they’re written from GearUP, I wouldnt be surprised if they ended up banned in common law countries (UK,SG,AUS)
Oh and another quick note, mum was a nurse for a long bloody time, so I learnt a lot about psychology, not professionally though. But when someones lying, is extremely common to go after the accuser, like what sheef, pest, tigz did. Actually have to say, you have a decent ground for a defamation case on against him for his libel (in the short clip you showed where he’s in the room looting and finds a clock in the oven). What I do find amusing is, these guys all have copious amounts of money and status that they need to upkeep for sponsors, future ad deals. So a question I give you to ask them is, if they believe so strongly in themselves that they committed no wrong doing and you infact have lied, then why has a defamation suit not been made?

Streamers for EFT, whether they like it or not, now have a responsibility to be a voice for the community, and not just their own wants out of the game. I can’t remember if I said this in another comment, but I’ll say it again because I say it every fucking time this topic comes up.
At the end of every wipe, it’s the only time streamers and the rest of the community are in the same group, “game kinda sucks, we really need content, these bugs have existed for years, and cheaters are ruining the game.” Then BSG announces that the content they promised a dogs lifespan ago is finally entering the game, along with 3 guns nobody fucking asked for, and streamers cream their pants and start simping for the game again.
Bugs never get patched that have existed for ages.
New content arrives riddled with MORE bugs and broken content.
And the new guns often just end up being a new meta for streamers to post on their YT shorts channel for more money to grift off of the game they don’t fucking care about.
Tarkov’s a terrible fucking game, and it’s sad the SPT, a community of people who add content to the game FOR FREE, can add content to the game before BSG does when they announced it 5 fucking years ago.

Mostly streamer are cheaters and streamer are advertiser for BSG that’s why they don’t ban streamer . If … if any streamer gets ban by chance they unban him by saying it was technical issue. They did this last year. I won’t take names of streamers they unbanned them

I have no problem with certain kinds of cheating; specifically griefing. Flying around maps, esp, aimbot, all used to ruin the fun of someone who takes the game too serious, or a streamer, is not only morally justifiable, but morally imperative. I used to cheat in 1.6 like 20-odd years ago, mic spamming 'happy' by jimmy soul while I teleported around knifing everyone to death. shit was great. But that was just regular dudes I was fuckin' with. Cheaters today can fuck with people who rely on the game they're playing to pay their bills, which makes fucking with them so much better.
i was a long time streamer of tarkov i started streaming it back in 2017 after my 1st wipe i started playing with viewers tho the number of viewers who was cheating i had to stop playing with viewers as i did not want to risk me getting banned or getting called out for playing with cheaters.
i know im not a great skilled player i suck but i have fun playing just at times i popped off if im in the right place at the right time but then you see streamers who are running with known cheaters just to make sure they all ways win the fight piss's me off 😤

They want the game developers to cater to their playstyle and that is essentially ruining the game for other people and game lifespan itself.

He saw the competition for 5 seconds and began pumping out QoL updates for the game but then when ABI dropped off he stopped putting that level of effort into the game. He DJ's in his spare time. He spends too much effort partying and screwing off. He doesn't play the game much. I don't think even the people in his company really play it much. But they appear to want to enact their vision of a game of which they don't play much which they aren't even doing that as he's fucking off and dj'ing. If anything they should be taking feedback, via the Survey system, to understand what the actual players want. The last part was an attack on them being to lazy to even enact their vision of a game they don't play. I feel like alot of the big streamers are either cheating, or indirectly doimg something phishy. Also the loot they all get seems better than what i get
cheating is the end if you let it be, its an uphill battle and you lose the trust of many, I get it, but i've also had a friend who cheats in tons of games for most of my life. He's honest about it at least. He doesn't use them maliciously against others and keeps it to single player or the occasional co-op after we've beaten it legitimately. I always enjoy the insight someone who has cheated can bring to that side of things.

More cheaters in Tarkov than any game. Really seems like 65%-70% of all matches you get into cheaters. Me personally I don't understand need and want to cheat so badly if you're not good at a game just play a different game. At this point they got other extraction shooters that aren't as hard. I don't play tarkov much mainly because I'm not that good at it at the moment followed by close second that there's so many cheaters.

I cheated in EFT so what but it showed me how flawed the game is and made me fall in love with EFT all over again after Cheating. It is the life cycle of all EFT Player. We go in with no cheats > get shat on > get mad > then we Load back in > die off the rip > dip our toe into cheating > find out the game is flawed > fall inlove with the game we first started and back to dieing but now we are laughing and running kedr kits. Cheats still dont have Leg armor.

Personally I really like the videos where you investigate a person that ends up being legit. It's interesteing to watch along and see if I can come to the same conclusion, and it also shows both biases of some people (sometimes including myself, it's easy to see a highlight and say "yep, he's cheating") as well as the honesty of you going through the vod and not jumping to conclusions.
Also, as someone who has cheated in the past in a different game, the "poison the well" strat people use against you really just backfires, cause it shows very tribal behavior. Like I can't ever change my mind or grow as a person, "once a cheater forever a cheater" and whatever, I can go into my own corner and they will always hate me. Well, how am I supposed to show any sort of sympathy, trust, or friendliness to someone who wouldn't show the same to me? I don't have to push them away, they'll push me away first, I have no choice but stay out.... really sad cause if does create feedback loops
