Oh no! Yes, sometimes if you pull too tight after you make the stitch it can pull too much and then make holes, I used to do this a lot.😩 Make sure your yarn is up to your hook but then try to relax a bit while you make the stitch. When you go to make your single crochet, do the same thing. Make sure the yarn is up to your hook but don't pull tight afterward. Oh I feel like that was a mouthful, I hope that helps! Keep me updated!! xo
@@xiaoxinglee598 Oh no! It's so easy to do😉 Glad you changed your hook size, if you can relax your stitch a bit, that may help! It's so hard though if you're a tight crocheter like me. But you got this🙌🏻
I think I make the last mistake. If I have overstuffed and have holes, and before closing I take the stuffing out, is there a way to shrink the holes or are they permanent? I’m wondering if I wet the fabric it might tighten the holes?
That's a really great question! I'm not sure if wetting it will tighten the fabric or not, I don't believe so but you can definitely give it a shot. In my experience, once the holes are in your work there's not really a way to shrink them, but I'll have to start doing some experimenting. You can go down a hook size when you crochet next time to see if that helps with your crocheting though. sorry I wasn't that helpful. 🫣
@@YarnSociety I will try hook size too. I was using DK weight yarn and 2.75 hook and using invisible decreases, and crocheting tightly (maybe not tight enough?) but still get the darn holes. I’m going to research how to crochet under.
@@kzbaby2002 That sounds like a good hook size to use with DK. One suggestion is to make sure that you pull your yarn snug onto the hook before you make your invisible decrease. I know that helped me out when I made sure that things were pretty tight before I made the inv decrease stitch... but not TO tight either because that can cause holes too. Just pulled up snug to your hook. Keep me updated and let me know what ends up working for youu! HUGS!!😘
i shouldve searched up this video before my first amigurumi hahahha i cannot believe i was doing everything wrong that you said in this video! thats crazy.. i got humbled since my toxic trait was thinking i could do it perfect first try hahahaah
Oh no!! I wouldn't say a flaw, I think it's more of a personal preference! But if you were having some trouble and wanted to fix it, some of these tips will help🙌🏻 But I totally think it's up to the crocheter! big hugs🥰
Have any other suggestion on how to avoid holes in amigurumi, please share them!

@@YarnSociety I love hand made and hand crafted.
Can't see the decrease stitches using dark yarn.
Dark yarn is always a bit of a pain isn't it?!
