It definitely worked. However one screw broke. 😅 The first time it started up went in fine went out fine and then it wouldn’t engage, tried again after I hit a few bumps and it worked great the rest of the day. I also used a little WD on the worm gear. Gonna make sure it works again tomorrow. Thanks again man!!!
So, my "check 4x4" and wrench came on this morning as my truck was sitting the parking lot idling. Hadn't tried to shift to 4wd or anything. Also i have no DTC for this. Any ideas? I'll also add that when i go to switch from 2H to 4H/L nothing changes on the dash. I also cannot engage the rear Diff Lock.
This could be your issue. I would give it a try first it just hasn’t happened enough yet to trip a code I bet. But it may need more diagnosing. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@ , yeah that makes sense. I took mine off and it was super easy to turn and everything looks brand new. Truck still keeps saying “ shifting in progress “ or something 😤
@@tymilliron6721 , you can take a pair of pliers and rotate the shaft that’s sticking out of transfer case. I think all the way clockwise is 4low , and all the way counterclockwise is 2 high. Give it a try.
Lifesaver it worked perfect
Awesome! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2011 F-150 FX4 and this worked. Thank you for the video and easy walk through! Cheers

Think this would work on a 350?
I hope so when I try
Best of luck. Let us know how it goes! Thanks for watching!
Haven't tried this yet, but did you leave your truck running while taking off the three bolts? Thank you
I wouldn’t. I would personally do it with the truck off and key also off. So no power is going back there while you’re messing with it
So it’s corroded yet you can turn it by hand but that electric motor that’s supposed to be turning it can’t turn it 🤔
It’s not that it can’t turn it…… it isn’t seeing the position due to the corrosion 🧐.
