Kai is now 7'3" and 246.04 pounds, turning 22 years old this May 11, 2002. That is the real reason for his improvement. He cannot easily be pushed around anymore. When he was 19 yrs. old he went to the USA to train, he was 7'1" and 218 pounds. He joined the G league.
The pandemic hit all nations and Sotto went back to the Philippines. After the pandemic, he joined Australia's NBL, was already 7'2" nearing 7'3", and was 225 pounds. After NBL, he played for Gilas Phil. team for the FIBA World Cup where they beat the giants of China.
He later joined the Japan B League and he is now 7'3", and 235 pounds, he currently weighs 246.04 pounds thanks to his strength & conditioning coach Mel Lantin who is always with him.....
So now, let us compare his statistics to NBA big guys. Antetokounmpu is 6'9" and 242 pounds, 29 yrs old. Victor Wembanyana is 7'4" , 209 pounds, 20 yrs. old. Chet Holmgren is 7'1" 207 pounds, 22 yrs old; Nicola Jokic is 6'9" or 6'10" and 283.8 pounds, 29 yrs. old.
Therefore, as Kai grows older and meets his target weight of 270 pounds BMI of 22, and borderline weight before obesity, he will be a powerhouse. His father Irvin Sotto is a retired basketball player, 6'7", and weighs almost 300 pounds due to inactivity, there is no doubt Kai will be a powerhouse soon. The team that will draft Kai will be an advantage for them.

I’ve watched Kai games since his high school days. He is a team player.
If this season is any lesson to what the Warriors are lacking is a Big Man to provide a physical presence in the middle . The Warriors are too often outplayed from the pivot especially against physical centers . There is no pivot protection, teams simply wear out the Warriors having to constantly having to switch which shows up in their 4 th quarter failures to close games out

One thing kai could actually give to GSW is his passing. He would actually be a good sub for draymond. The current PH national team runs the triangle and he bloomed in that system but he struggled in the previous coach's dribble drive system.
He was undrafted because he was basically Chet's size, but he didn't have Chet's flash. That's fine! Maybe he just needs more time to develop. I think he should get a better training team, though. He needs to work on his lower body strength more than his upper. He's already quite skilled, but I think he needs to fast-track his skills training even more.

I would have to give him another 2-3 years of G-League play before taking him seriously, then _maybe_ he would be a 3rd seed player with the Warriors.
