I appreciate your standard of quality craftsmanship I wouldn't want to use someone who pulls up on a job and you emediatly see sloppy work that they've done
Nice work!
I learned a trick.... Use white out Pens when you will torch. The white out wont burn away....
Someone's gonna steal that vise!
I didn't know you were in New Jersey. I am in Pa. I was run over by a Ford F350 on my 1957 Harley and wrapped around a telephone pole. I am still recovering have actually started building replica 1928-1934 Morgan race cars and custom bikes.
"I just have some 5/8 plate sitting around" 🖕🏽😆. That purple compressor is awesome! Another great video, i need a vice like that.
IC Weld, lol… Isaac is so good.
Keep up the awesome videos. A lot of guys want to do exactly this project. The trucks are pretty hard to come by right now. Enjoying your build. Simple. Effective. Doable with my limited skills.
Thanks 👍 i appreciate it
@@mcfwelding MCF Welding fan for life!
I stack two plates or flat stock at a lap and tack them for a straight edge, that gives a relief for the torch flame to go. Works pretty well.
Should weld a 2” receiver to the right side of your deck , then u can have the vice at a good working height and a good spot to slide a roll out wheel into for pipe spools
So true, plus you may have to pull a trailer at some point.
We mounted a separate receiver on our service trucks towards the right side of the bumper
I would weld a receiver mount to the right and left side of the bed. Get another drop hitch and drop the vice down waist high. That way you don’t have to bend over to use your vice.
I went through and collected all my grandpas welding stuff and i have the same sticks from the same era lmao
Looked like a pretty good cut on steel that thick to me.
great work bud 🤘🏽
Hey, that was a nice cut! I think Isaac would say it’s good enough, thank you brother for the video, keep them coming!
Nice addition to your rig. I’m hoping to do a side hustle welding when I retire. In addition to a engine drive, I also have a Primeweld MIG 285. I’m newly certified, with a year of wekding school. I like your videos, as they are easy to follow, your audio is good, and I appreciate you showing how you go about repairing things. Keep up the good work!
good to know, and keep at it. You can get a side hustle going nicely with that equipment
Ahhhhh painting it hot. Good job king of Jersey!!!!
Paint that thing hottt!
good job bro. best regards from Venezuela
Appreciate it!
Nice
I got a esab rogue 180 that little thing runs 6010 like a beast it has its own setting for it
always wanted an esab machine
That rust repair video is what brought me to your channel too. You did an amazing job on that repair, it looked amazing! I've binge watched almost all of your videos now (and subscribed too of course) You're putting out some excellent content, and doing wonderful work. Well done sir 👍
Thank you for all the view! i appreciate it
I put one of those together also. Very handy but my welder is in the bed of a regular truck bed so I am currently building a welding trailer so I can carry other things in my bed. I need to figure out how put a receiver on the trailer to use the trailer hitch vise on the back of the trailer. GOOD job! All of you UA-cam welders inspire me to get off my butt.
I think they make a weld on or bolt on mount to put on trailers for that kind of thing. Or you can always fabricate one up for the trailer yourself
Nice job bro
Nice job. I enjoy your videos. The truck is looking good!
great ideas thanks for sharing
Glad you like them!
I run a Metabo over my lines to preserve them.
Thats another great idea, one that im going to try now for sure
Nice work
Did this myself but I put a bit of a work table on one side, being right handed the table is on the left, its just to put small stuff on.
I subscribed. Like your videos
Thanks
I made mine from 2in sq 1/8 thick the same height of the open tailgate of my Pacific brand truck bed comes in handy when not needed it's under the Lincoln inside the bed
That sounds good! i was thinking about making one custom but this was just the cheaper route
👍
Maybe a dumb question, may I ask if or how you placed the holes or you just placed them in a general spot
Yea jist in a general spot
Thank you, sir @@mcfwelding
Why do you like the measuring stick?
easier to use
@MCF Welding - Curious about the mag drill. What kind was it and are you pleased with it. I know everyone says to get one but alot that I see are 2K + in price. I can see how they would be handy.
It is a hougen mag drill. I got it used for very cheap but the magnet is weak on it so i will be looking to upgrade in the future
Nice trick. ❤ the video
