Tagalog-speaking health care professionals were involved in the development of culturally sensitive and linguistically relevant educational materials for COPD patients in Vancouver, Canada. The aim is was to educate COPD patients from ethno-cultural communities to correctly use their inhalers and engage them in self-management of their chronic illness by means of improving their access to relevant information. The video has been developed by the research team at University of British Columbia’s Institute for Heart and Lung Health with financial and technical support provided by BC Lung Association and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Integrated Primary and Community Care.
