The drumming on this is nothing short of stellar. Just some of the best jazz drumming I've ever heard. Mark is up there with Cobham, with Williams, Roach, Rich and so many other icons...

It is fairly obvious that Allan Holdsworth is one of your harmonic influences. As a pianist like you, Holdsworth if one of my favorite musicians of all time. I feel like I have cracked a few of his codes but it seems like I could spend the rest of my life attempting to understand his approach to harmony. Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for someone in my position?

watching him play guitar his "approach" to harmony doesn't look that complicated. So much of his tunes is just moving guitar shapes around chromatically . sometimes a note is suspended and other notes move in parallel. find your own stuff that's all I try to do . It probably sounds like Allan because of the tones not the actually notes
