- just wow! Awesome discovery for me that evening. NYC never stops surprising me with unlimited tap of talent. Tim Miller blew everyone away, totally packed house
Nate is playing his butt as usual. what most don't know is that he is re-harmonizing a bartok string quartet and an earth wind and fire song simultaneously in his mind while playing Tim's music

i love how this drummer during the keys solo basically goes "you wanna go fly? let's do it!" nothing better than musicians pushing eachother and making eachother sound better like this. that's why improvisation is such an important part of music. creating energy

Likewise LOL, I can relate! He looks like a child at the kit, imagination pouring out of his skull. Simplicity, unpredictability, and unadulterated emotion flapping all over the place. Total class.
The way he plays is incredible. It’s groovy, but has so many unusual variations. His style is instantly recognizable, which I think is the highest compliment to a musician: a unique “voice”

In college Tim played this solo and after class we all ran over and said "wow Tim, that thing in the middle... that was amazing! what did you do?" He said "I don't know. I got lost and just kind of found my way back." Thanks for the great story and the inspiration.
I love how Tim is partially entranced while also looking like he’s trying to hold onto a bullet train at the same time. Loving every minute of it.

What a killin band, the chemistry and groove and also the mutual listening and conversational thing allowed for some startling moments, not just the obviously insane solos by all but the way the play together and support each other, real great. Thanks for sharing.
Everybody looks like somebody. To me, Nate looks like an amazing drummer, firmly in the driver's seat, simply killin' it.
That's right. Also I once chatted with him as just a fan, and he was friendly and gracious. Weary of seeing that Russian guys name, anywhere.

Off all the music clips I go back to this is an exception, I can't get away from it . Four brilliant players at their zenith. That nearby bloke made me thirsty too, sipping his beer!
I feel the same about this combination, I listen over and over, hope Tim Miller comes back to NYC soon. This gig was the highlight of my last visit here...
I envy you , seeing the gig. Thanks for putting it up - remarkable quality considering. I UK I have given up on many gigs because of constant chatter by folk who will regale friends with who they've gone to see, but then natter all the time.
Tim is such an intense player. the way he plays alternate changes in flight like this is just beastly.
And the guys in this group really bring some serious fire. The groove on this is so thicc.

These musicians are new to me, and what a great sound they make together. A beautiful number with a driving drum kits and tasteful playing surrounding that rhythm. Wonderful. I’ll have to investigate further. I love the old clock on the wall, but they should maybe keep their eyes on that ceiling as it looks like it might fall in anytime and might be a biological problem! 😁
