Loved to visit those places. I'm telling you, Skoda the brand is big game changer and never give up the quality and robustness. Now, the new Kodiaq has globally launched and I am awaiting for an experience.
I can tell that the team here really enjoyed not only this trip but the editing, the music - everything seemed to come together. I am fortunate we live in such a beautiful country and that we have great cars with which to traverse it and experience it. I love Leh, love India
I did Ladakh at the time of the recent himachal floods... That too in polo... Through the landslides, the slush and snow, polo dint give up... Ultimate adventure trip!
Big thanks to Indian Army for protecting our borders and thanks to BRO for building fantastic roads🇮🇳Autocar thanks for making great video..really enjoyed😊
Almost 5800 meters above sea level is very impressive. On a side note, the highest altitude that an off road vehicle has driven at, is actually 6700 meters... In the Andes (Chile). Ojos Del Salado on Atacama desert is the exact place...
Wow. Excellent vdo live vdo. It requires daring to drive at 19,000 klms+ height. Superb explanation of the both Skoda cars. Nikhil looks dashing n has a very good control over his driving. To end up his voice n explanation speech of the cars is commendable. Hats off you. 👌👌👍👍✌. The other guys too are good, but Nikhil is the best. I hold high regards for him. God bless you, your family n your team. 🙏🙏
Visual spectacle this.. beautiful 😍.dont want to make a comparison here but years ago powerdrift used to give such content, they dont nowadays, anyways . Just an observation.. kudos to Autocar India
What great content, it always feels good to watch any ladakh series, but this one was special as both the skoda did it so well. Keep bringing this kind of stuff. Kudos to the team autocar. The best part was Hanle to Umlinglaa and the way Rahul steered slavia. Awesome work
Excellent journey log, my memory is still so fresh we did this journey from Bangalore in MK1 Octavia in 2004 with its sports car rivalling low ground clearance , in comparision Slavia must be a great combination of sedan with SUVish GC. Thanks for sharing.
The Kodiaq is my baby, its hyper-sensitive steering and engine response are just a thrill drive. even in the close city drive and winding terrain roads
Thanks to those Turbocharged engines the drive was possible even with less oxygen in air. Those Turobochargers did their job of compressing thin air with less oxygen.
Thank you for reviving my Ladakh memories...we met you at Shyok valley, then spotted you outside of Hanle, and the only taxi that you saw at Umlingla was ours..we were returning from Demchok
Very well done Nikhil and Team. I drive a Kodiaq too and umlingla is certainly on my bucket list. How did the Adaptive suspension help on the Kodiaq ? I hope it came in handy on those nasty sections!
Thank you for giving us amazing visual treat. If you organise a paid trip for automotive enthusiasts like this it would be beneficial both for you and us.
Did you use 95 RON petrol throughout the drive or normal petrol since 95 RON is the recommended fuel in both these cars? And if you used normal petrol did you feel any performance degradation?
Any pick up issues while driving in th high altitude Uming la and khardungla passes in the Kodiaq.Lack of oxygen or less oxygen make the cars performance weak.Thriw some light on this
@@NikhilOnCarsDid you guys get XP95 petrol in those sections or filled it up with regular octane petrol ? I did see you guys bought Jerry cans to take additional fuel.
For driving in this place should we need permission? I am really so excited to drive in these kind of roads, I have vento 2022, can it be easy to take vento here?
Hi Autocar we're fans your channel as well as Nikhil. A quick clarification needed as I own VW Virtus 1.0 MT I'm curious to know can I make this journey to le ladakh. Because we're planning to go in coming months and your reply helps us a lot to decide. Thank you
Hi. It's possible but it's not an easy trip. Not everyone will be comfortable with the altitude and cold, and accomodation outside of Leh is comfortable but basic. Also, if traveling towards Hanle, you'll have to make arrangements for fuel.
@autocarindia in your videos promote tourism by viewers to visit such good places when possible.. Most important thing to notate is ask visitors to keep the city clean wherever they visit.. promote swach bharath!!🫡
If there are Oscars for Automobile Journalism, AUTOCAR would do a clean sweep... That's how amazing you guys are.. Thanks for the visual treat!!
Thanks so much for the kind words!

Absolutely!

The route from Disket directly to Pangong would have truly checked the capabilities of the cars!
Next time :-)
Autocar is and always be the go-to channel for cinematic automotive content. You are still relevant and best in class.
Can we please have a Autocar Expedition here??

how do you do that effect of the yaks falling to the ground.. looks cool
the greatest cinematic shots of car
Top notch video 📹 guyz
Wow what a Beautiful and adventurous journey ❤
The weather seems exceptional so as the narration and cinematography.
Which month of the year was it?
Saw you guys at Hanle Observatory, Road to Umiling la etc.
Excellent coverage by Autocar team ❤
Did you use 95 RON petrol throughout the drive or normal petrol since 95 RON is the recommended fuel in both these cars? And if you used normal petrol did you feel any performance degradation?
The Skoda Kodiaq recommends use of 95octane petrol. Is it available in Ladakh area or you used 91 octane during the trip ?
Hi. We used regular petrol for the trip.
Great video. Since I have a Virtus GT, I’m curious to know how the DSG in the Slavia managed to navigate the bad roads?
It did well. Absolutely no issues. Just had a slow puncture on the journey.
Now the Verna with GNCAP 5 star, Skoda will have tough time for sure.
Beautiful visuals.
What a nice video
Marvelous Ladakh!

That slavia ... it's it 1.5 DSG or Manual ?
Amazing drive. How did you guy's manage the fuel aspect with 2 petrol cars? Are there enough fuel station's on the road?
Leh to Umling La will require extra fuel.
@@NikhilOnCarsDid you guys get XP95 petrol in those sections or filled it up with regular octane petrol ? I did see you guys bought Jerry cans to take additional fuel.
Interesting 🏁
How many times slavia hit the ground 🤔?
Nice job editor 👏
Kindly let us know how you guys managed filling up Kodiaq with Octance 95 fuel up there?
Hi. We used regular petrol for the journey.
Enjoyable 👍👍👍👍👍
Did you guys face issues with kodiaq requirement of 95 octane fuel?
No. It ran fine on regular petrol.

music for video was awesome
Hi, in which month you guys were in Leh?
September :-)
Thanks.
I was there in early June this year, drove from Mumbai to Leh via Srinagar and came back via Manali.
Why is khardung la not crowded ?
We reached very late!
will the Slavia with 1.0 MT do the above ride?
Yup, should manage without complaint
@@autocarindia1 Thank you for the response! Planning for the same in next 3 years when my son is old enough to enjoy the experience.

Yes, shouldn't be a problem. Do prep for the cold though!
proud owner of skoda slavia
Was it slavia 1.0 or 1.5?
I am planning to buy a mid size petrol automatic SUV .. which one I should buy ? Kushaq or creta or others ?
We'll answer your question in a video shortly!
Can we plan a family trip in this region? Please guide.
