Reason #1: Leveling legs: Leveling legs are used to adjust the washer so it sits level. If the washer is moving around, they may need adjustment or replacement.
Hit that Subscribe button now and make sure the Notifications are ON.
Reason #2: Shock Absorbers: They dampen the movement of tub during cycles on front-loading washers. If the washer is shaking violently, these may have failed.
Reason #3 Suspension rods and dampening straps: The suspension rods and dampening straps work together to control the vibrations and movement of the tub. These are only found on top-load washers.
Reason #4: Spider Support Arm: The spider arm holds the inner tub in place. If the washer is shaking and moving, it could be that the spider support arm is going bad or is broken and needs to be replaced.
Reason #5: Springs: There are multiple spring varieties within the washer that help control the movement of the tub, so check them for damage. Follow the video for troubleshooting steps.
Reason #6: Suspension Pads: The suspension pads allow suspension to move smoothly during the cycles. Suspension may bind up if the suspension pads are lost or damaged.
Reason #7: Balance Ring: The balance ring in a washing machine has liquid in it to counterbalance the tub as it spins. If the washer is shaking and moving, the balance ring may be broken or dried out and need to be replaced.
Reason #8: Tub bearings: Tub bearings allow the drive shaft to rotate during cycles. A squeaking noise may occur as they start to fail and as their condition gets worse, the noise and vibration will continue to get worse. If this happens, the bearings will need to be replaced.
The 'Top 8 Reasons Your Washing Machine is Shaking' video covers all major brands of Washing Machine, including: LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore/Sears, Samsung, GE/Electrolux, Admiral, Amana, Bosch, Crosley, Estate, Frigidaire, Gibson, Hoover, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Magic Chef, Norge, Roper, White Westinghouse.

I've watched a few similar videos but like this one the best. The speaker addressed the issues, one by one, clearly without any unnecessary words. He was to the point, there was no 'umming and you know, like'. He spoke well and just gave us the facts, one after another. Great presentation; thank you very much.

Thanks for the video and suggested fixes. Had excessive vibrations and honestly was considering new washer/dryer. So in the video some of the suggestions were beyond my abilities to do so I picked the simplest one to do which was leveling. Did't know that the rear supports were self leveling, check the fron there were ok, picked up the rear of the washer and the levelers immediately fell down and when I put the washer down, everything was level. Tried a load of work jeans and very little vibration during the rinse cycle......so thanks to a simple fix per your suggestion saved me a bunch of money.....thanks!!!!!!!!

Reason #9 of 8: corroded/cracked drum mounting hub. To replace:
Detach the top lid and pop the door switch off. Pull up the agitator (site need to be unscrewed). You will need a brush to clean and inspect the hub. Wiggle the drum, check for crack. The retaining nut is left-threaded, aluminum and 1-11/16in. Will need to order a special wrench (or spare nut if you are drilling/chiseling it. Still need the wrench to tighten.
    Happy Fixing!

Great video. I believe all these parts are fine on my machine. Mine will vibrate and move occasionally when doing cotton towels that some how occasionally get off center and when it goes to spin if goes into a self destruct (my term) mode where it vibrates so violently it moves the machine. Again only happen when doing towels and only on occasion. I feel like this would happen regardless on any machine, I devised a clever way of solving this I tied a string to the back of the unit into the plug, so that when it vibrates in this mode It will automatically pull the plug out of the wall, I can then re-balance and everything works great. This is no big deal because it doesn’t happen very often but it’s a good safety device. I’m quite surprised that the manufactures don’t have some kind of sensing technology to turn machines off when they get into this situation, mine will literally move across the floor and continue running happy as a clam if left like this. Now the string will turn it off in the first 10 seconds.

Hi Thank you for your great detailed information and so informative with Quick precise answers across multiple platforms of manufacturers.
So on that note my question for you for my washering machine: Whirlpool MOD LSQ9560PW2 SER CS1311919
You mentioned that the bouncer ring has liquid in it to help with counter balance. How much liquid does it have in it, if you have a ever so simply, quick and easy repair on the tub balance ring. Then to just add the right amount of fluid back into it and seal it at that point.
I'm assuming it's just water and maybe an additive. How much Fluid is required to put back in it? But if that is a question you're unable to answer can you answer this question then?
How much does a fully sealed new one Or non damage one weigh and then I can figure it out from there.

So true, I had some old appliance guy come out to my house today to look at my washer that is out of balance. @@logdon17 had 2 repair guys come out for an under warranty Speed Queen AFNE9BSP113TW01 front loader that violently shakes during the beginning of the spin cycle and actually fell down from the pedestal causing damage to the washer and cabinet it fell into. First guy just visually inspected unit and called his boss but nothing was removed to check like this video shows. Second repair guy came out (had to wait 2 1/2 weeks to get him out after first guy couldn’t find out the reason for the shaking) who was the lead technician and the guy the first repair guy called. He did even less than the first guy and tried to blame it on the pedestal saying since it’s not an official Speed Queen pedestal that Speed Queen would likely not honor a warranty replacement. I had him take it off the pedestal onto the tile floor and ran the 10 minute spin cycle. 2 minutes into it is when it starts shaking and even on the level tile floor it moves a good 3-4 inches. Then he said well maybe getting a rubber mat and rubber pads for the feet (it already has rubber feet). He was supposed to contact Speed Queen back on May 10th and I’ve been hounding them for an answer and then they told me the technician needs to return as they have to be there on the premises where the washing machine is to call Speed Queen. Problem is the guy isn’t scheduled to come back until June 9th (a full month after he was there), and he should have known on May 10th that he should have called Speed Queen at that time instead of wasting another months time. In another incident feature the same exact washer in another property, the same thing happened yesterday May 23rd, where I found the washer face down on the floor after it walked off and fell off the pedestal, cracking a cabinet door. What are the odds 2 of the same model washing machines have the same problem within a month of each other and these washers were bought around the same time 4 years ago.
