In this video I'll quickly review 3 different tool box liners. Believe it or not you might be surprised at the liner I don't care for and had poor results.

I've tried a number of liners. Best I've found is the HFT non-perforated material. Tools stick with no residue and the price is right. Good luck.

Good luck with your decision! After seeing the residue from the Craftsman I would get my money back. Maybe it was old but no excuse. Between the two remaining choices I would go with the one in the big roll as it seemed more washable. Thanks for the review. Be safe.

It is a shame that the liner left residue on your carpenter square. I guess even as great as Craftsman is they can mess up too. I hope you don't have anymore problem with the liner. You probably need to go with the liner that has the grid. I think the foam would wear and start to pick later on. Good luck with your choice.

I bought the Craftsman draw liner from Lowes, don't know if it's the same as what you got but now I want to check it out for the residue factor. Other wise I don't think it is a bad liner it does what it's suppose to do, my tools don't move around.

Yeah I think if the tool is heavier or has a flat side, it's more susceptible to the issue with what I had seen with the residue.

@D well i've had no issue with the craftsman liner from lowes, no residue and the tools don't move, and companies do that all the time to safe money and to make more money. I don't like the perforated liners at all those have fallen apart on me and left residue on tools.

@D 1. We're talking about a draw liner so relax if you're so upset about this then you really don't have much to worry about and good for you. I understand that what I bought isn't the same I was just telling you that that was the product that I bought and how it's worked for me. I do agree though that companies are scumbags who constantly cheapen products and that it isn't ok. 2. If they had a USA made one, I would've bought it but its what's on the market. 3. I don't like to buy made in China or as you said communist crap, I prefer made in the USA, but it keeps my Craftsman USA tools from moving around and once again it's a draw liner. 4. I'm not a professional mechanic or tradesman just a diy'er. 5. I know that Craftsman used to be a stalwart I have USA made Craftsman tools from my dad and grandfathers, but if you want to troll someone and accuse someone of ruination of the country then troll Eddie Lampert who ruined Craftsman and Sears/Kmart. 6. I don't know who I'm dragging down into my private hell and didn't know I was in my own personal hell; I mean live isn't great but it could be a lot worse for any of us but that has nothing to do with where products are made. I'm pretty sure you and other people have stuff made in China. The US doesn't manufacture most things and hasn't since about the mid 70's when corporations decided to abandon the US workforce and have people in other countries who will do it for next to nothing, while maximizing their profits and personal gains. So maybe troll them also and talk to them about the ruination of our country cause they are the ones that did it by making products in China and elsewhere not me. I mean you're commenting on something from over a year ago, and com' on it's a draw liner.

What did you choose and how's it holding up

I ended up going with the B&C liner from Amazon. It's rugged, easy to cut, and holding up well. It does have a slight tackiness to it if a chrome tool sits on it for a long time, but that also helps keep tools in place when opening and closing doors. Thanks for watching!

Let me know if you had any issues. It might be more applicable to heavy tools that the residue remains.

I use the ToolTex Heavy Duty Non-Slip Drawer Liners in my SnapOn tool Box as the ones it comes with are absolute garbage. They work great and have good non slip properties.

Over the years Ive tried several different kinds of drawer liners & not been happy with any. SOME YEARS AGO, I showed up @ work & my company had a brand new service truck waiting for me. The slide out drawers needed lining. The Boss uses short pile commercial carpeting for his truck which worked great but I needed to load my tools NOW as I had jobs to do Well, all that was available was lots of cardboard boxes in our dumpster I figgured that would do until I could get some proper liner installed at my convenience. Well, surprise! That heavy corrugated cardboard worked GREAT!!!!! I loved it!! It does not slip about, it does not tear, it affords a bit of cushioning, lasts FOREVER and best of all - ITs FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used cardboard ever since at work, & at home. In 2018 I bought a new top box w lower roll around chest which came with precut black mat. Very nice. I threw it in the trash & cut up the giant box the tool boxes came in. reuse-recycle-reduce. win-win-win-win...

Well...YUK😣 That is not speaking too highly of the Craftsman brand😳 That liner could put a disaster on your tools....If the other brand is indeed neoprene, then I would worry about the heat factor against my tools as well...but you actually have it there with you, and I am sure you can make a more informed decision😃 Good luck on making that decision, and I hope it works out well for what your use and intent purpose is for at this time🐾🦊🐺
