It’s 2020 and I on board the ‘watched this a decade ago’ but now it’s been over a decade and I’m still coming back to hear it. It’s crazy that so many people watched this and still come back to it. Happy I found this at the time.
I watched this back when I was 11 and have been playing bass ever since (I'm 18 now). You showed me that a bass can be melodic and beautiful and every time I watch this video I know I made the right choice going with bass :)
Omg! I Finally Find You Again ! I Remember Listen To This Years An Years Ago An Couldn't Get Enough Of It! Ever Since Then, This Piece Has Be In My Mind An Stuck In My Head ! Thank You!
It's like a lullaby ... this proves that bass isn't just a background rhythm; if played right, it can be even more soothing than accoustic. You've inspired me to start playing bass, thank you :)
This is incredible. I LOOOVE how so many people watched this over a decade ago. I too am one of those people. Literally just went on like an hour and a half search for this. and its soooo worth it. Its crazy How well i remember it. There have been times where it pops into my head, and i just dont have the time to deep search. I had the time today and im so glad i did. Easily my favorite bass video on youtube. All seriousness
wow, i love all of your solo's especially this one. I'm getting a bass soon, i would like to learn this as one of my first songs might not be the best idea for a beginner but if you will, could you pass the tabs along to me? thank you love the music your great!
I first watched this around 3 years ago, I have lost count how many times I have listened to it, it's really beautiful. It's making me want to learn how to play the bass guitar, and to learn this from vision as I can see no tabs. :D Just wanted to say, awesome video dude. Really great playing.
@Tom13ombadil in many settings guitar is also a support instrument. Initially, electric guitars were used in jazz bands as support instruments. Of course, now it has been made more versatile even into the position of soloist. Point being: Every instrument can be a solo instrument as well as a means of support. If we limit this, we limit our musical horizons and potential.
Really amazing, I have started bass up a few months ago, this is exactly the type of thing I want to be playing in the future, I spent like all of last night observing parts of this video, and finding the finger positions... It's so beautiful to play, I can't imagine what it must feel like to actually make this. I really wish you would make tabs for this... But otherwise, this is worth spending entire nights figuring it out ^^. I keep listening to this, a real inspiration. So beautiful.
Normally you wire your amp, directly or via a microphone, into a mixer, which gives you control of the output (volume and eq). Then you juste have to plug it into your computer's soundcard (into the pinkish microphone jack)and record with a sound editing program. If your have a headphone jack on your bass amp (which is pre-amplified to an reasonable level), you can connect it right into the soundcard.
i play bass similar to this style, learned a bit of reg guitar and put em together, this is awesome dude..i can imagine what you could do with a 5 or 6 string bass, wow
wow you really can strech. i'm trying to figure this out and my fingers cant reach like anything. especially the very beginning 5, 6 frets while keeping all the fingers down. great job. i want that bass!!
That is ultimate talent, please send me the tabs, man that it just absolutely amazing, your other ones are really good too but this one is mind blowing.
OMG ! Hi fella, excellent piece. I've been playing guitar ( 6 string mostly ) since I was 9 years old and bought my first Fender Mustang Bass in 2005. I turned 60 last month and have never reached your standard of quality. ( Guess some have the gift ). Good luck, you have the gift.
@BloodMystical well a regular bass may be a guitar with 4 strings, wider neck and is an octave lowers but to actually be a good bassist it's a completely different mind set so keep that in mind ;)
wonderfull playing, really subtle and no emphasisis on showing of. Actually, I thought you should know your brothers little solo makes me truly consider picking up bass playing again (I never played anymore since I discovered the piano, anyway my hands are way too small so I'll need a bass with the frets closer together, maybe I can lend the warwick of a friend of mine) Anyway, thanks for the music, and thanks for the motivation!
though this is like my 4th youtube profile.... i remember the first time i saw this on my first one... missed this vid... had to come and see it... keep playing bro...

thank you very much, that was so relaxing, soft, gentle, relaxing, simplu great! good job!
This is why BASS GUITAR kicks ELECTRIC GUITAR. Its not the "leval" or noise that you make. Its the soul you can make with a Bass over a Electric. Bass gets right down into your bones and through every part of you. It takes you away to a different place all together where nothing else matters and only there is only the now.
I love how this sounds. Really great playing. Would love to know how to do this. One thing though I think the harmonics really sound out of place. I think it'd sound better without them, personally.
i think you are doing God's work. the ability to create music with your fingers must give you a beautiful feeling. i am like crying at your song. you really have talent God bless you!
@ddtheddd95 Joe satriani's a Guitarist, Stu Hamm played bass for him for a while, if I remember correctly, and this solo is obviously inspired by Stu Hamm's playing.
wow...beutiful music, VERY inspiring, on the edge of shedding a few tears, keep of the very very good work :) gonna go work on my bass solo now : P might post vid
@DrAlbinoDude but personaly i think the electric is eassyer becuse with the bass you have our right fingers basicly all moveing at once so where electric you mostly use a pick
This almost makes me sad, remember listening to this as a kid when everything in life was just so simple...
Yup 😢
It’s 2020 and I on board the ‘watched this a decade ago’ but now it’s been over a decade and I’m still coming back to hear it. It’s crazy that so many people watched this and still come back to it. Happy I found this at the time.

I watched this back when I was 11 and have been playing bass ever since (I'm 18 now). You showed me that a bass can be melodic and beautiful and every time I watch this video I know I made the right choice going with bass :)
Truly good stuff. Best solo I've heard.... so effortless, melodic and an awesome remind to make good music.

It's like a lullaby ... this proves that bass isn't just a background rhythm; if played right, it can be even more soothing than accoustic.

Very cool! You've got a lot of flexibility to hit those notes with your left hand. I love love the melodic bass sound.
Really amazing, I have started bass up a few months ago, this is exactly the type of thing I want to be playing in the future, I spent like all of last night observing parts of this video, and finding the finger positions... Brilliant performance. I hope to be able to play like that some day.
This is what inspired me to want to play bass 4 years ago. I still look back on it!

Still my favorite melodic bass solo on UA-cam. Beautiful!
I have played the bass for many many years now, I must admit that you are amazing! i wish i could stretch my finger like that.
i play bass similar to this style, learned a bit of reg guitar and put em together, this is awesome dude..i can imagine what you could do with a 5 or 6 string bass, wow
