Have not been getting video updates so you came back in my feed and guess who is having an epic road trip with you all, me..... I am catching up with a cup of coffee in my hand and watching all your videos and catching up. This was a lovely trip. Thanks so much for sharing.
I’m glad darling Caroline is happy on her own but gotta tell you, which you already know. Life is not the same without her and those adventure bikes even take the boys away.
I just miss you so much as a family unit, and the happy times those brought for all-of us.
Guess I hate kids to grow up and hate change.
Our two girls are grown in college and there are times I sit and cry, it just went by too fast,
And I want to start all over again 😢😢😢😢😢 I know you totally get it!
Mrs you need to publish a EFRT Cookbook......
That muscle memory Jeep wave, I get it 😊 That roast looked so delicious! Quartzsite tends to get tons of winter visitors, especially during the winter solstice time. Plus, in the winter AZ is very popular with Barrett Jackson auto auction, WM golf tournament, then spring training for ML baseball, AND we are hosting the NCAA Final Four Championship game this year! We have too many Californian transplants for my liking. I always say, "Don't California my Arizona!" 😊
Awesome video as always EFRT. Y'all's adventures are always so epic and the meals that Carol prepares always look delicious but most of all y'all always pray before and after y'all's meals that is what I think is most epic thing of all. Keep up the great work and stay safe and drive safe. Thanks for letting us ride along with y'all on y'all's adventures.
We are so glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day!
The hand on the wheel 4 finger lift wave. its a thing here in Montana just respect for passing on a alley way or small road. the jeep wave included. its just what ya do. to say hello & we are same good people as you. lol just as simple as that. one love
Holly Molly The wife and I are watching this vid bummed that we didn’t get to get our there and meet you. You guys were camping in my neck of the woods
Very cool area!
I really enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing your family with us. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Will do!
Watching this brings back so many wonderful memories of my husband and me driving around teh desert and hills in his 1956 International pickup, original engine, original transmission. The only modifications my husband did to it was to shorten and raise the rear bumper because it kept getting hung up on berms, resulting with us not getting traction. He also installed a lift kit to gain more ground clearance and installed larger off-road tires. He also replaced the padding on the seats, so we would still bounce & hit our heads on the ceiling if he hit a bump hard enough. Those springs in the seat could still launch pretty good! LOL!!! I miss that truck. I remember when the engine started running rough, so he stopped to see what the problem was. He found that one of the spark plugs was cracked and one was coated with oil. We were miles away from any main road and temps were over 100 (my husband loved the heat), so you didn't want to be stranded in those conditions. For years my husband had been exploring that part of the desert, the abandoned mines and claims. He knew of one place where the miners had their own little shop to repair their equipment and vehicle, but blew up all the buildings when the government took back their claim. So we headed to that site. When we arrived, my husband began walking the entire area looking for any signs of a spark plug, he searched one half and I searched the other half. We found a total of 8 spark plugs, 3 different types. My husband pulled out 2, cleaned them up, set the gap, replaced the two bad spark plugs, started the engine, and she was good as new. Now, those are the vehicles that car manufacturers are afraid of, vehicles that are easy and quick to repair so majority of people can fix them themselves. The International was still running in early 2000. I love seeing you all exploring and making memories that will keep filling your hearts with laughter, love, smiles, and the beauty God created for us. May God continue to bless and protect you all!
So good to see Lando! We lost our 15 yr old Border Collie, Milo, to Cancer over the weekend. The house is too quiet. Seeing Lando living his best life was heart-warming. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Sorry for the loss. Sounds like Milo was an awesome friend. We are so glad you can follow Lando down the trail. 🐾 Have a great day.
@@EFRT My family greatly appreciates your kindness. Thanks!
Great video! Reminds me of my childhood.
Reminds me of my adulthood too. We use that quote a lot 😆 Thanks for the cameo.
Love this video. So cool seeing you all together and Caroline on the phone.
3 of my favorite Overlanding channels combined? Sweet!
One thing that i admire is before you eat , is to pray and thank God for the foods. Keep ot up i respect all that you do and what you beleive in without saying it
Amen.
I admire that they eat s’mores before dinner. That’s the way to do it.
❤Look forward each week to your adventures. What size is the big Alubox? I have 3 but want the size like yours
thank you for the nice video
👍👍👍
Absolutely love to watch Carol the goddess cook a meal!! The art of a great meal with Family still means something. Timmy C Arizona
The cooking part is awesome. Be blessed y'all.
Thank you! You too!
Quartzsite is only really busy when they have the big tent and RV show. This NB’er was there last November- February.
Yummy!! I know it brings such joy cooking for your family. And it sure looks like and sounds like you are a great cook
Thanks so much
Trick to opening mason jars. Use the ring and gently lift the sealed lid with it. Works great.
Great tip!
Since you are in California, maybe Brad or Marco can recommend a Jeep shop to get the front axle repaired? Im sure they both know good shops for the work on their trucks.
Yes you’re right. They were able to suggest an excellent shop and Jeep tech. We hope to get the repair done soon. 👍🏻
A wonderful video so enjoyable to watch! Looking forward to next weeks adventure with your friends. The meals that Carol comes up with over fires look so so good!
You said Ocotillo, I was going to be on the look out. I live in Ocotillo AZ. Been watching the channel for years. Keep up the good work.
Wow adventure time with the family it's amazing guyz❤❤❤.
Dry warm desert in AZ winter brings folks from everywhere.
Great video. Sound was awesome as well. Thanks for sharing. Simply wonderful looking pasta dish as well 😁😁😁
Thank you 😋
What a great video! I've been looking for a chimichurri recipe, I love that you used cilantro! Gonna be trying that soon! Happy trails!
Thank you
So great to see you back in California again and meeting up with Brad and Marco! Safe adventures.
Thank you
I just finished my supper and my mouth was still watering! Well done! You continue to live my dream. LOL Keep up the good work y'all. Your meet up is going to be a real UA-cam power house!
So glad you enjoyed the video and Carol’s cooking. Have a wonderful night.
We get wagon wheels in Australia which are like your marshmallow choc thingies....yumo
Have a great time. Enjoy the family friend time !!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Good times for sure!
Finally, using a table to support you plate while eating. Please include the table in your equipment review, also how you pack the cast iron cookware for traveling. Quartzsite is one of several locations where on BLM land boondoggle camping is permitted. They fill up quickly in th winter time. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing.
Carol is amazing 🤩🤩🤩.
Yes we agree ❤️
Another youtube creator had a loaner van when her van was being built by a company in Oregon she had an Aqua HOT in that vehicle I believe it also had issues I think it may be endemic of a bigger issue.Maybe get yourselves a backup just in case.
Glad repairs were easy, phew!! Looking forward to more and how great the truck is working out so well for you 🙂 Forgot to mention that I loved the reference to "Dances with Wolves" a video or two back Carol. Great film, hard to watch but think it is one of those that everyone should see. Happy travels, 💜 Barret
Thank you
All that food looks delicious & yummy
Gotta be honest I enjoy cooking parts most... need some coffee making scenes, too! great work as always!
Thank you 😊
When you opened that sweet potato I blew at my screen to cool it down. Damn did that dinner look good
was soooo good
HEY! Hello and thumbs UP!!!
See you next week, take care!❤😊
Thank you. You too.
Love the new intro ❤
Getting out now
Thanks! Oh how I miss camping and traveling. This time year is when I really, really, really appreciate camping shows. In fact, it was January 2020, I believe when I discovered you guys. I was looking for camp cooking ideas then, lol. Then binge through all the earlier years.
😊. But of course you still wave at other people who are fond of adventure !! Keep weaving! Good-will is so wholesome!
Loved the idea Carole tried ... salting after searing the meat. I wonder what she noticed ??
Very excited to see the walk-around of the new vehicle! Thank you for being so generous with sharing your experiences with equipment and what you discover in nature! Enjoyed learning a new term “Boone-dockers!” 😊👋🏼
Enjoy the lovely road adventures! (Yes; I noticed you using the yellow plastic rocks you used to level your vehicle when you stopped to camp! I giggled!). Carole, you really have such generous and gracious home-away-from-home skills! What a meal! My compliments! ✨🙏🏼👋🏼
You should’ve stopped at Quartzsite. They have a huge like flea market and it’s crazy. It’s like a big giant shopping thing going on there.
We'll be back to check it out
Always a blast to see you guys!
1/21/24 Thanks for bring us along on your journey ! Great video!
You’re welcome. Have a wonderful evening!
Новосибирск смотрит. К вам хотим. Молодцы
Thanks for watching in Russia 🇷🇺
Hey, I'm in Quartzsite right now! I'm here for the Outdoors RV owners meet-up! Great fun!
Very cool! Have fun!
Hahahaha mesquite > all…..love how coincidental it was of my post 2 vids ago. Oh man love it, enjoy! Roll back to AZ soon, love it
When leaving Quartzite, AZ, did you happen visit Palm Canyon in Kofa National Wildlife Refuge? Beautiful area!
We’ll check it out next time through 👍🏻
4:48 looks like it could be quite expensive to drag that on the ground. May want to look at a good way to protect that from damage.
Good point. The rear bumper would hit first but still a good idea 👍🏻
Good morning, watching from Philippines ❤
Hello 😊
Can't wait for the walkaround video. Actually, ordered my own Rossmonster Baja after seeing your new rig going places.
That’s super exciting! You are going to love it! Yes we look forward to doing that video. 👍🏻
I laughed so much when Carol asked you if you just did a Jeep wave. I have a Wrangler that we had in Australia for a few years before shipping it back to New Zealand at the beginning of covid. Queenslanders were generally pretty good at the Jeep wave but kiwis not so much. Some do and I always get a kick out of someone waving back.
Love your videos - thanks for sharing. Are you going to be putting EFRT decals on the new truck? So much clean white space!
Yes we are working on some design ideas. 👍🏻
Watching from Connecticut 🙂
Greetings to you in Connecticut 👍🏻
Love what you’re doing! Can you tell me what size tumbled rock you used for your propane fire pit. Thanks
Sorry, not sure…. it just came that way.
What kind of chocolate was that on the S’mores?!?!
It was some kind of milk chocolate that came with the package. 👍🏻
Please be careful of the carcinogenic effects of open fire cooking, especially direct placement of veg in coals. Just wanted to share
Love the truck. Do you have any concerns of servicing or repairs as Ford designs a lot of work around removing the cab on the super duties. I imagine it won’t be easy to work on otherwise.
Yes, hopefully that wont be an issue

Boa noite , hoje cedo procurei o vídeo de vocês e não encontrei, mudaram o horário da postagem ? Assisto todos os domingos ! 🌹👏👏👏
Yes we were late this week. Should be back to the regular time next Sunday 👍🏻
Carol is STILL the hardest working mom on UA-cam! Those simple meals? Makes me cringe. I can’t cook!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Man, those windmills are such an eyesore. When will our "betters" wise up? Carol - How do you like those Salomon shoes? I used to wear those for hiking, but after I discovered Altra (Lone Peak and Timp and Olympus) I can't wear any other shoe brand now. Hope you have enough gasoline to last until you leave CA. I left 4 years ago and have not returned. 😥 Take care EFRT.
Oh, and who chose the music and video edits for this episode?
What did you think of it?
I appreciate the mixing up of music genres. I tend to gravitate to instrumental/lo-fi, mood music for presentations like yours. I was not wild about the jerky frame changes @ 5:55. For the more important/dramatic clips I like slowing the frame rate down. If you’re filming at 60fps I would recommend slowing down more of those transitions with appropriate mood music.
👋💪👍🫶
another cool vid , idk if it's just me or camera angle or the way the light is hitting or what . but that Truck looks a bit too off camber for my taste and squats a bit . i never drove one with a camper that heavy-big ( i did rent a truck camper a few rimes but it was like 1200-1500 lbs and probably half the size ) , so probably just me lol .
We have been taking it more and more off-road trails and if handles the off-campus stuff pretty amazing. The low pro top really helps. It has air shocks on the back and we lowered them for the rough off-road trail. That’s why maybe it looked a bit squatted at the time.
It definitely takes a bit of getting used to driving a big truck on the trails rather than the nimble Jeeps but we are sure having fun with it.
it definitely looks fun , and yeah i guess lowering ( deflating ) the airbags etc makes it look lower than it is . i'm loving the rig and looking forward for your new adventures with it @@EFRT
music so loud ☹️
Sorry
