HEY GUYS! I just wanted to say THANK YOU with all my heart for your visit to Lone Pine. You brought back so many memories to me and made me happy yet a bit somber...it's my home and I miss it terribly. I grew up in Lone Pine, then in the Alabama Hills until I graduated in 1982 and moved to Oregon to be with my sister and haven't been able to afford to move back. My father passed away there in 1988 and that was the last time i was there. My father was a Calif. Highway Patrolman, my grandfather, in Bishop, along with several male cousins, was a very well known trucker throughout the valley, and was in several Wells Cargo (the original stage coach, not the bank) commercials, 2 of my aunts were nurses at the bigger main hospital, in Bishop, 2 other aunts were the owners of the Dow Villa Motel in Lone Pine, where all the movie stars stayed, besides at the Cuff Guest Ranch, my mom lived elsewhere but was the niece of Ed Sullivan, and my father was the ORIGINAL Marlboro Man but ended up turning down the job before it officially launched, to be a police officer, plus he was onry and stubborn and was afraid he would have to become more humble...lol. I worked at the visitor's center there on 395 for awhile, as well as a local newspaper reporter, which is how I met Bob Hope and walked shoulder to shoulder with him, when he came to film one of the Texaco commercials, James Gardner, filming The Rockford Files and the Captain and Tenille, when I made them lunch at the health food store i was also working at, among a few others, when I did the publicity shots for a B movie called "Going Bananas!". My first job was as a babysitter for a family living in (the real) Hop-A-Long Cassidy house, up there in the hills and my sister and I actually became good friends with Kenny Loggins and his sister, Diane, and her husband, when they moved to the Alabama Hills too! She taught my sister piano and he was just really hitting the music scene in the 70's and gifted us his first album, signed, for Christmas. (Which my sister took). It's such a beautiful little town with so much charm and character and the people are absolutely amazing!! It's a place where there is ALWAYS something to do and see from the horny toads to the road runners to the jack rabbits to the desert turtles and mother quail with their tiny babies running alongside of them, the scorpians, rattlesnakes, water snakes, coyotes, the "potatoe bugs" and multicolored jumping spiders!! Then there's the awesome rocks, the scenery, the party spots, real gold, trout filled creeks, cactus, sage, the hills and mountains the history, and the ice cold fresh clean mountain streams and amazing clean air!! Im so proud of that little town and proud that I was a part of it's history. It's a wonderful place, with lots to see and do and to grow up in, with good and genuine honest people and it will always hold a very special piece and place in my heart! :)
Thank you for all your travel videos….this Planet is amazing and in our lifetime we only see a speck of sand so to say…. I would never get to see all these interesting locations if you didn’t film them for us…. Ty
I am so glad you guys captured the best HWY in CA. I have spent so much time on that HWY. Driving 395 has helped me get through some pretty tough times. Well 1-10 is a close second.
Thanks so much for sharing! I-10 is next!!
Thanks!

Smash mouth pumpkin comes to the Delaware shore and Ocean City area Fremont stage. I think I came here to the shore and 1976 for SUMMER. I’m still here. I’m 67 now I was 19 when I moved to the beach.😂 my new goal is to sell my house and travel. I’ve already had a stroke and I’ve already had a heart attack. It’s time to figure out everything that’s wrong and fix it so I can continue on and enjoy the rest of my life I want to do what you and Dave do!
Enjoy Life!
Safe Travels
Linda
Awesome video 😊 I'm gonna have to watch it more than once, so many interesting people and places. Loved the picture you took with the late actor Ron Cameron's son. His father would be so proud of him ❤.
Thanks so much Amy! We had so much fun in Lonepine at the Western Movie festival!
That’s a beautiful beautiful RV. Rocket and I are still looking and we’re getting so much good advice from the videos you and your husband put out. Keep up the good work.
Our pleasure! Thank you so much for your support!!
Love watching y'all... especially love all the tips and extras y'all add... one tip 👌 you might want to think about... I have medical, medicine, and food allergies. Being a hip, stylish, young 75-year-old lady, I zipped over to Amazon and ordered a Medic Alert Bracelet, customized to my stylish needs, including a note to find a list of all my meds in my wallet. I suggest in your travels y'all might want to notice the number of adults and children wearing these lifeline pieces.
As for an electric RV. I live in a small town in Texas... my best friend lives 50 miles away... however, Elon Musk is building his factory in Bastrop, Texas. To get to Bastrop, I would have to fully charge the battery before going and again before returning. 😢
Carson City normally has the best gas prices. Reno is super pricey. Glad you guys checked out 395. I live in Reno and love this area!!!
For 20 yrs we hit Hwy 395 every summer! Love the High Sierra's - Mammoth Lakes, June Lake, Bridgeport, Carson City ... absolutely love 395 & the adventures it can take you too! You brought back so many sweet memories that I have.
Hi Tanya and Dave I'm rewatching the long video! Love it! TO THE BEST COUPLE IN THE WORLD 🌍
New here! I really enjoyed watching this! You two are a great couple ❤ Sharing the video to help promote. I just bought me a van...got hoo doo'd (ever heard that saying, means screwed over 😅) and needs transmission rebuilt. They knew it 😠 Its a 2003 Honda Odyssey. Im 55 and just yearn to do van life. I daydream about how I would design it. Slab City looked so cool.. I just wouldn't want to live in the desert full time. Im from NC and love being in the woods 🌲🌳😁
Wow, ive commented on wrong video 😅😅 I thought this was the Slab City one...dont want to retype everything, so yea 😅😅
Welcome aboard, thanks so much for watching and sharing! Congratulations on your van!! 😀😀
Thank you for the amazing video. I appreciate it. Peace and blessings. Thanks for sharing.🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🤗🤗
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for your support Rosemarie!!
Wonderful work you both are doing to give back to the community. I can't wait to see what you have in store for next year.
We went to crater lake several years ago. Gorgeous color to the water but I have to say, it gave me the creeps! WAY too deep. People had boats there to fish but I can’t imagine being in a little boat on that endless water! I’m laughing, it’s just my quirk but that’s how I felt.
What do you think the ocean is like????? 😂😂 bffr
Thank you for the fun tour Tonya and Dave!!! It's really nice. Have fun!! ❤❤
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it!
This camping vehicle is dope! I wish you and Dave could have one of these.
I live in bishop! I am a member of the bishop Paiute tribe. Schats has been here since I can remember. The hot turkey sandwich is the BOMB. Great family are great family
Hello Tanya and Dave. I'm sitting here wondering if Desert Storm is starting to have a lot of problems, I hope not. Enjoy your two weeks in the new RV.
Thanks so much Doris! Desert Snow has some issues but we still love him!!
Desert SNOW*******
❤️🙏🏽WOW!! How I adore you guys. I live vicariously thru you!🙏🏽🤣❤️🚚
I’ve been all over the country multiple times and so far there is nothing that beats the eastern Sierras. Love 395 heading north.
Thanks for sharing Sally. We love 395 North!
Oh wow!! And here my daughter & I just started SUV living maybe we will cross paths✌🏽🙏🏽Traveling mercies
When I go back home to Oklahoma from Tennessee its 12 hours I can do it in one day.
I absolutely love Alabama hills in the Mount Whitney area. Have you both been to Mount Whitney? At the very top parking lot there’s a beautiful waterfall and amazing place to get some food and in the mornings, they have amazing pancakes! You can take a hike up to lone Pine Lake
Also, Seasons is so understated but has amazing food. It’s one of my favorite places! I just absolutely love that area and Mount Whitney in Highway 395!!
And of course, I love your videos !!
Thanks so much for sharing. We boondocked in the Alabama Hills but have not been to the top of Whitney!
@@LetsTurnItUpWorldohhh please go to the top parking lot at Mount Whitney!

Wonderful! And, a surprise Technomadia cameo!
So glad you enjoyed this. Yes, we had a great time hanging out with them. Great souls!
Loved this 3 hour video.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks so much!
I didn’t even realize it was 3 hours long 😅😅😅😅
Great video, thanks for the ride-a-long. San Diego is my happy place and La Jolla is a great time. Plenty to see and the restaurants are good.
It’s a diesel sooo technically it’s fuel mileage not gas mileage lol… I enjoy the videos, be safe and have fun!!!
Hello tanya and dave..all the way from new zealand..love your videos ❤
Hello way over there in beautiful New Zealand. We definitely want to visit New Zealand at some point.
Sundown TOWN 😮
If this is a repeat I haven’t seen it. Love it! Tanya and Dave you are very good at what you do. I love watching you two together.
Glad you enjoyed this documentary style and thank you for virtually joining on us on the adventure.

Hello there from Cali🤗🐕🐩🐕🐩🐕
I drove that route before. It was unique.
Another 🆒😎 Stream 🎉 also watched gambling budget wise... Congratulations 🎉👏👏👏❤❤
I camp at Washoe Lake frequently. Did you see the wild horses? There is a big herd. The camp hosts do a fantastic job.
It's a gorgeous camp. We did see wild horses. The camp hosts certainly do a great job.
It had to SUCK to have to pretend to like that electric crap and it's super impressive 1.5 hour driving distance. You almost lost me there...
Stay safe and enjoy the ride.
I love that blue Jean dress in the intro.
395 is the BEST South to North highway in the West!
Thanks, we love it!
We can’t travel with our 3 kitties. None of them would like it. Right now we are in Roman Nose State Park in Oklahoma. I miss the babies so badly. We are going home today and cannot wait to see them.
I’ve lived in Oklahoma all my life. Never heard of the park y’all are at!
@@JessicaRodriguez-zy5gz it’s not one of the more well known. I’ve been in Oklahoma my whole life as well. Roman Nose is outside of Watonga Oklahoma before you get into the panhandle. I was raised in Woodward which is really close to watonga. My dad would go fishing at Roman Nose. It’s where a I caught my first fish at 9 years old. It’s a small park with trails, a lake, tent and rv camping. It’s a nice quiet place.
@@Prplpassions my grandparents lived in Woodward before they passed. 🙂 my auntie lived in Sayre many years. I live in Norman, Oklahoma. I looked it up after reading your comment and it’s about an hour & half from me. Thank you 🙏 my kids & I will have to check it out.
You brought back some memories lol
Trade that EKKO off it is a🍋, I don’t often came a Winnabago that name but it just seems like it is.
Route Sixty Six is the journey of Man!
Your fun to watch 😅 how do you pack clothes for the different temps ?
Nice corpus❤ here Miami😊
The best for Milly❤❤❤❤❤❤
395 my favorite❤
Pretty so nice
Nice!!!
Thanks!
Deja vu. I'm sure I've seen this before.
Hi Tanya and Dave what was the name of the restaurant you were in at the end of this video??
Thanks Bert, are you talking about Puesto in La Jolla?
Great video
Thanks! We appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
395 north of Mono Lake going south so scary. Too steep for me.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Thank you!
Hello Tanya and Dave
Hi!
That was such a thorough road trip through several states. How long did it take to charge the electric van RV? Was it 8 hours? It seemed very nice, but I see room for improvement, especially if someone wants to boondock. Excellent videography and editing!
Glad you enjoyed it. Depends on the charging station but it does take several hours to get it charged up. It is a prototype and definitely need for improvement. Thanks for watching and virtually joining us on the adventure
I love your head scarfs where do you get them?😊
By the way I'm new to your channel my husband live full time in a fifth wheel in Florida but I really want to travel😊
They gave it to you
Hey 👋
Hi Twiggy!
Gas/hookups r costly plus food costs as much as a sticks and bricks housing. Plus u may need a new rv one day. $100k motorhome is pricey. The engine wears just like a car or truck.
Thanks for sharing.

You're parked in the shade. What about the sun for your solar panels?
We would get a lot more juice from our solar panels if we were in the sun. You are correct.
I think “Switching” referred to changing to another track. However, I think it’s done by someone else who’s not on the train….
Thanks for sharing, very helpful!
Yes, my thoughts exactly!☝🏽
What city are you all in ?💌❤🧡
Well, you probably know by now cause I’m behind on my UA-cam, but did you switch tracks or directions?
How did you fix the water leak? Where was the leak. You mentioned it, but you didn't explained the source of the water leak. Cindy
They're were several. One in the water bay and the other under the sink. We took it to a service center to get them repaired.
Is switching the track
What is the tow capacity and travel range? 108 miles? Stinks
Yes, they have a lot to work on for sure! Thanks for watching!!
Any discounts to rent from them?
Thanks Monique. That’s a good question. We are not aware of any discounts at the moment.
How much are the camp sites
The music was so loud I couldn’t hear what you’re saying.
switching? track switch
How did we go from Colorado to Vegas and the west coast? And I thought this was an older video….??
Thanks. This video is a compilation of our road trip to Oregon going up California Highway 395 as well as our road trip to San Diego when tested the all electric camper van. We have viewers that really enjoy longer videos so we release these special documentary style videos every few months! Thanks for watching!!
Have travel
😇😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
What do you do when you have seen all 50 states?
There's always more to do when you return. Can also do some more overseas travel as well as long as you enjoy the journey
👋👋👋
Thank you!
Can you use induction pots and pans on a propane cooktop?
I've used mine on propane and they still work fine on my induction cooktop.
Since you are in a vehicle that can only go 100 miles at a time, talk about the logistics of making that work.
With that short of a distance between charges for us it wouldn't work. There is some need for improvement for sure.
i was subscribed and somehow got unsubbed so i resubbed i wonder if anyone else had this happen
Thanks for sharing and sorry that happened. Your support means a lot to us!!
Where are the two babies?
They were not allowed to have the kitties in the RV, they mentioned that the babies were being looked after by friends this trip!
That is a one person ( small person) RV at best.👎👎
Which one?
Another 🆒😎 Stream 🎉 also watched gambling budget wise... Congratulations 🎉👏👏👏❤❤
