I had bells palsy last month. But now I’m 85% recovered in just 25 days.
My suggestion for those who are suffering from it is don’t painic, dont give attention to it. Just do your work, eat healthy, take madicines, do pranayama daily (Anulom vilum, kapal bharti, bhastrika pranayam, etc) and keep you mind calm. The more you take rest and being calm, the faster it will recover. 20-30 days is minimum time for recovery. So, keep patience.
Further don’t do any forced muscle exercise and expressed for first 10-15 days. At beginning you facial nerve Just need rest nothing more.
Hope for your faster recovery. 🤞🤞

Almost fully recovered in less than three weeks. 😁😁😁😁
I had a facial massage every day, followed by a coconut mask. Make sure you buy B12 tablets!
I ate boiled eggs, smoked salmon, tinned tuna, soya products, mushrooms, and coconut cream. Three times at the gym helped a lot. How do I feel right now? I am so relieved that I'm again back on the right track. I'm a non-smoker and drinker, which might have helped the speedy recovery.
Tip: Don't give up!! At first, it's a massive shock to the system, and then gradually, it gets better. Day-to-day is the only way to get the results you're looking for. Follow the food rules and stay focused. You might have to say at home to avoid the ''stares'' and questions, but this is entirely up to you.

I’m 3 weeks post Bell Palsy. What worked for me was rest, facial exercises, eating healthy foods for nerve regeneration and lysine. When I took lysine 3x a day my facial paralysis became less and less. Since it’s triggered by the chickenpox, Epstein-Barr virus or herpes simplex , it makes sense lysine will help. It eradicates cold sores. Have hope because it gets better in 99 percent of the cases. Emotionally it was devastating because I was starting a new job in a school with kids on the autism spectrum. Non-verbal communication is really important in this field. My first day on the job i woke up and my face was almost back to normal. The exercises and massage helped.I took anti-vitals and steroids too. My face was painful. It was pulled so tight. I had a headache, earache, tmj pain and facial pain. I feel for anyone that experiences this terrible affliction. But remember 99 percent recover.

M following ur exercises but there is one more thing important for the recovery and that is chiropractic treatment .if ur neck and spine is not in natural position..a little change can press the nerve and cause low blood flow and paralysis. Chiropracter adjust the spin and thus the nerves come back to original health.and then the facial paralysis ends.

I've had 3, yes 3 bouts/outbreaks w/e you want to call it, with Bell's Palsy since I first got it in 1999, after returning from a Mediterranean Sea circle while I was in the Marines. Unfortunately I jumped into some really, really nasty water while returning to the ship when we were docked in Spain. Regardless, the first time was my right side. I noticed that my right eye started to droop and then later my mouth/cheek drooped. I went to the ER, and luckily the doc knew what it was and he subscribed the prednisone/ steroid taper, and within a week, it dissipated and most everything went back to normal. I would still get the alligator tears and a slight twitching sometimes, especially when stressed.
Since then, I have had some really nasty cold sores that break out on my right cheek. I've never had one before this time. It took me a while to find out that Valtrex/Valcyclovir helps reduce or even stop these outbreaks if you catch them early in the onset of tingling or eye twitching.
About three years ago, I noticed my right eye was twitching a lot more than normal, and went directly to the ER again. This time I got the prednisone sooner and did not have any drooping or drooling. They also told me to take my Valtrex along with the pred.
But just this last Friday evening, mt neck/throat muscles started acting strange. I thought it may have been a lack of sodium since it has been hot and I'm working outside. So I drank a lot of water and went to bed. When I woke up, my eye was droopy and so was my mouth. This time I remember the metallic taste, but don't remember if it was there the first time. I got the prednisone again and started taking it, along with Valtrex. But this time, the droop is on my left side, and my ear is extremely sensitive to noise now.
I am now taking the pred/valtrex and supplementing it with turmeric. Let's hope and pray it works soon, because it is Wednesday evening and I don't like this.
Thank you for posting this video that shows more natural ways to assist in recovery.

I was diagnosed today with bell's palsy. I eat a lot of tumeric I also drink the tea Does that help?? I was told golden milk helps as well?? I ate a pickle last night I chopped in bite sizes. Today when I woke up I felt worse my mouth is very twisted and my eye lid will not shut.
