I own the HD 560S as well as the HD650 and though some prefer the HD650 over the 560S and I believe the reason for that is the timbre. But the 560S does everything else better. I don’t mix music but I like the neutral sound better than the dark, warm sound signature of the HD 650. The HD560S has better bass, better mids and far better highs than the HD 650. The bass response, the soundstage and the imaging is also noticeably better with the HD 560S. They just added the 560S to there pro line as well which says a lot.
I experience the exact same as you said ( HAD hd6xx massdrop - same thing ) the 6xx\650 for me was more a laid back\ maybe satisfying sound. but nothing about it was Wowing. but still indeed an excellent headphone to own, dont get me wrong. but the 560s - it just has that something extra, and also if the mids and highs are too much. just EQ it down. 560s love EQ
Just went from HD560s to the HD650 and the difference is crazy. Don't understand how people prefer the HD560s. Detail and resolution is very different.
@@Maoilios I think it has alot to do with the amp driving them as well ALSO, without EQ, for me the 560s is absolute ass. But with EQ, for me, they did win vs the 6xx, but I had to boost the bass, and lower the treble. Out of the box the 6xx DESTROYE the 560s. For me atleast.
Have 560S and HD600. I agree that HD600 have better detail/resolution and have that smooth midrange, however HD560S are more fun in many situations like movies and games due to having more sparkle in the highs and more bass.
I found that the 560s sounds best with my vali 3 tube amp and my warmer sounding HD600's sound best with my magni heretic transistor amp . Not as good the other way around . In fact the 560s and the vali 3 sound like they were made for each other .
great for watching movies and gaming due to their soundstage. a little boring but highly precise for the audiophile. seem underpriced for the value you're getting.
I had them and sold them after 2 days. They sound pretty bad (compared to my old AKG 712 Pro). I didn't find any good feature about them. For the price, Hifiman 400se (with removed outer grills) sounds way better
I think these are pretty boring personally, and probably the most overrated headphone on the market at this price point. They have no real personality. They lack the lush midrange, and chamber-like elegant and warm musical intimacy of the 600/650/6XX series. But they are also not really fun or colorful, being largely neutral. The bass is correct but controlled with no weight or thump, the treble is clean, with no distortion, good clarity but no brightness or sparkle. They are neutral, neither warm nor bright, but clinical and sterile. Soundstage is not intimate nor particularly wide, separation is fine for non-busy music but gets congested with busy music (large orchestral, busy electronic, metal, noise...). Thus, imaging is good but limited by the music genre. Build quality is mediocre, with a strong clamp, a plasticky material base, and an uninspired drab aesthetic look. These are neither musical nor fun, they are squarely analytical. I would thus recommend them for mixing, perhaps...They are very revealing, and can make bad recordings sound awful. But for music listening, particularly for busy music that benefits from strong bass delivery or has lots of elements that require separation and soundstage, I think they are defective. For everything else, they are just uninspiring. Jack of all trades, master of none. A B across the board.
I agree all the good points of 560s and a plus of actually being FUN... IM NOW HEAVY INTO FIIO jt1s are the budget Kings a blinding headphone for pop dance trchno and gaming... and the ft3s are simply amazing also epos h6pro openbacks are beter than hd560s for gaming... if I could have only one set it's the ft3 s movis godsend 3d audio gaming g godsend 3d audio and a strong stereo music presentation a masterpiece of a headphone on 4.4 balanced k11 dac amp
But does it "teleport me to Tehran"
