No it is not pulse with modulation its a variable voltage control 7v to16v+. I have not done any testing to see what the actual current draw or wattage is, I can tell you it is a lot. If you had the option to run a belt driven compressor you would be better off. This thing creates more load than the belt driven unit, and is not as efficient.
Well in the end all I can say is that it works, and it still works. It does not work as good as my factory AC worked but when its over 100 F it limits the sweat to just your back.
Did you upgrade your alternator and built a dual battery system?
Hi how many watts does the compressor alone run on? Also is the signal to turn the compressor on the same as a PWM + signal?
