Known by many as the tailed beast without a tail, Kisame left quite the impression on Naruto fans everywhere, especially during the Kisame vs Might Gai battles. However, just how powerful was Kisame Hoshigaki? In this latest installment of the True Power Series, we will be taking a look at just how strong Kisame was!

yeah that's cause he never fully win,he lost 3 times against Gai, and that totally normal cause Gai is so overpower and a hard counter to Kisame,
some people think he's weaker than bee even if he easily beat him, he fake to lose, so he can infiltrate and find Naruto.
In fact we can assume he was enaugth confident to beat Naruto+Bee+1-2 Kage+ a ton of strong ninja or just to take Naruto+Bee quick&go like a real ninja(and he is).

Chiyo:the 3 sanin are called like this cause they survive hanzo, they were 3, chiyo also survie hanzo alone, this is not a very clear feat, but we can at least give her the title of sanin, so that no joke.
Sakura strength is comparable to tsunade strength, tsunade break a perfect susanoo with one single punch,that's very powerfull, she was clearly weak due to her lack of experience and figthing technique and ability but when she's use by Chiyo,all her weakness become strengths and she's clearly one of the strongest being at that time.Even with that chiyo admit sasori let them win.

Kisame went toe to toe with Guy, a man recognized by Madara for his strength in taijutsu. That alone shows how bad ass Kisame was.

You forgot to mention that Killer Bee in base could react or predict Minato's attacks when the lightning enhanced Raikage couldn't. Kisame was making this guy look like a chump.

I really liked that Kisame was one of the last Akatsuki members to go down, and that he had history with Madara. You could make the case that Tobi was using him from the start, but at least it was because Kisame was incredibly useful. And that's not an easy thing to be in a crowd of multi-talented S-ranks, and especially as Itachi's partner. All in all they were my favorite Akatsuki pair, and the ones that most treated each other like respected partners. And despite their actual loyalties, they managed not to have an all-out fight against each other. Which while it would have been great to watch, speaks to how solid a team they were.

U forget he absorbed the leaf ninjas chakra after being captured without samehada. And than he forcefully took samehadas chakra against it's will. Implying he can take more chakra than samehada and heal himself. Samehada was basically an extension of his power and it could store chakra for emergencies. His samehada and him also absorb 6 tails of chakra at a time. That means you have to have an attack with more chakra than that to hurt him. And if you do. He can just use that 6 tails worth of chakra he just absirbed to heal back perfectly.

I think many of the akatsuki members were kinda rushed in the moments they did have on screen. I knew both he itachi were hella powerful after that fight with jiraya in the hotel after they both left. Remember they were leaping across a large body water with just touching down on the surface for only a few seconds! I think right then and there the creator was deciding on how he was going to doing all the member of the akatsuki but also let people know these weren't 2 ordinary shinobi. After itachi died you could see he said hell with everything....specially when Obito showed him his face.
That's absolutely amazing, I knew Kisame was a beast but after watching this video, Kisame truly became a tailess beast.

I’m not sure a fully blood lusted Kisame would fare any better in battle. With out his composure in battle all of that power will run wild and leave exposure to weak spots to attack. Also he has been shown to exhaust his chances because he uses very large jutsu. The only way he recovers from depleted chakra or severe injury is if Samehada steals more chakra for him. If the opponent picks up on that then it’s huge trouble for Kisame. None the less Kisame is easily my favorite Akatsuki member and deserves his nick name. Good video! Looking forward to the rest.

If Kisame was at full power and fully rested I think Guy would need to at least go 8th gates or need assistant to take Kisame down since he had no samehada during their last fight and was still on his mission after fighting Killer bee and infiltrating for intel. And after their fight Kisame was still able to wake up and break free from Yamato’s wood prison that was suppressing his chakra while Guy was still tired from the fight. Also he pushed guy to go 6th gate against his 30% clone in their 2nd fight

I dont know if people commenting on this video have really watched Naruto, not in form of clips though. Kisame has samehada , water prison, and lots of Chakra but remember jiraiya can maintain his sage mode for a long period of time, has powerful summoning, and a great arsenal of powerful jutsus. Remember, itachi along with kisame ran away from jiraiya on their first encounter. Jiraiya took out 3 paths of pain on his first encounter without even having Intel on him.

Kisame is pretty strong but he is not a ninja that can handle any type of opponent. He has a severe weakness to genjutsu and I don't mean Itachi level genjutsu- kurenai trapped him in part 1 quite easily and honestly he seemed pretty affected by it, not even recognizing it as such. Also, without his sword he is not as strong, and as we saw that sword ain't loyal. Anyone with powerful chakra levels presents a risk that Samehada can turn against him over a period of time.
He can force samehada to give him chakra
Plus, he can only fight close range. Someone like Deidara would make easy work of him.
He can absorded chakra without samehada
Imagine Kisame learning Senjutsu. His massive chakra reserves would certainly make it easy for him. Imagine if he could teach Samehada how to absorb natural energy...

Unpopular opinion. Kisame is my favorite member of the akatsuki and i think is the SECOND best water style user in Naruto (behind Tobirama of course)
