    I was searching for a recipe like this for we have alot plums too right now. And it's perfect I found your channel with this recipe! This is exactly my German husband wanted for a cake. Hope I will get it right 😅

    I just found your recipe and would like to make it today. Unfortunately I need to know the amount of yeast (I don't have packages) and the amount of baking powder. Can you please clarify those?! Thank you! I can't wait to try it!

      Hi Rhonda, A package is 7 grams. And baking powder is not needed for the recipe :)

    Amazing! My father told me his Mom made "Sauer Bratten" not sure of the correct spelling? He said using apples, ginger and more. Do you make this recipe?

      Yes, my mom used to make Sauerbraten almost every Sunday! I haven't done it in a very long time and now I want it 😁

    just a question, I got lots of green sour plum, do you think I can use them to make this?

      If you like it sour, why not? I'd put more sugar on top of the plums. That's what I do if mine are not very ripe. I hope it helps...

I made many pies before , I did this one with those sour plums, it turned out good in look and shape but terrible in taste, although I used brown sugar, it was still freaking sour, I think your recipe for German plum cake is best and only must use red plums, I will try your plum cake soon
