Thank you! I don't think DA would have been pissed off with me listening to this. We bought cassettes, vinyl, listened on the radio... Thank you for posting. My cassettes finally broke.
Fantastic! Thanks for uploading this. I am a lifelong fan of Hitchhikers...well, since 11 years old and I'm now nearly 56! I heard the show for the first time on a pirated tape which was lost over the years. I have since got the original show on official tape, but it just wasn't the same. Still brilliant but i was used to a slightly different version. Thankfully, i discovered this channel with THAT version. I never knew these LPs existed! A heartfelt and nostalgic thank you.
Hi, if you listen to the end of the outro grooves on one of the vinyl sides, the info "Arthur bruised his upper arm" can be heard recorded with the word "Arm" repeating in the final groove...
5 seconds in after not hearing this for probably 30 years and it occurred to me that the actor playing Slartibatfaast was also the Dr. from the Old Harry’s Game BBC series! It’s James Grout!!

Hello folks I have a terrible admission. I love the HitchHickers Guide to the Universe series so much I am reading them on to my podcast TortyTalks. It's totally ad free and I make no money from it, I just want to be rich and famous by being discovered. Some of the episodes are read with a rather croaky voice due to Long Covid - which rendered me incapable of doing much other that talk, and that only just. However, I'm quite good as editing, so the coughs and multiple pointless breaths are mostly missing. I'd love it if you took a listen. I've got to almost the end of the Restaurant at the end of the Universe. The podcast has been running for almost three years but I've only be reading Hitchhiker for the last six months.

I can't understand anything that the mice say. I think the producers went a bit too far with that voice distortion.
Maybe your Babel fish isn’t shoved in all the way.
I can!
