I, like Josh Hawley, am astounded with this testimony by acting assistant of border policy Mr. Bias Nunez-Neto. After listening once, I went to get a Q-TIp to make certain my hearing wasn't blocked. After listening a second time, I concluded that this man is actually one of two things. Either he is really stupid or he is the most honest person in these hearings. If his testimony doesn't send a message to our citizens that we are in big trouble, then nothing else can possibly be said to confirm our beliefs. I hope to see him called on for more of his testimony by other republican senators .. please don't pass up this opportunity !! I would do my best to get at him again before he is fired !!

Because for he fact that many of those who are turned away for title 42 return because they are not counted and not processed for the offense of violating US code 1325. so when they come back repeatedly they are not charged with stiffer fines as a second offense carries penalties that include imprisonment.

The Right doesn't get to assume all asylum request are invalid before they reach the border to make those claims, just because the Right wing rhetoric claims they are.
