It's a pretty bold first wave. I hope they succeed. I would like to see them do the most iconic versions of the most popular characters as well is filling in obscure characters.
What we need is the missing figures in Playmates scale. Instead Playmates gave us repeat figures we already had, while these people are giving us missing figures in the WRONG SCALE. I can't use these.
I think these figures look fantastic, and I think it’s cool they’re tackling some deep-cuts. But I really hope the include one or two classic characters in classic outfits per wave going forward. I really want a bridge crew of this quality and scale eventually, and I want main characters that can interact with these deep-cut characters.
Hoping for the best for Nacelle to be the go to company for Star Trek action figures for the future! What a First wave! The Deepest of Deep Cuts as Keith mentioned. The possibilities for the future waves are literally endless if this is what they are starting with. Although, I wouldn't mind having a special 2-3 figure 'sub-wave' of some kind of some typical legacy characters like a Picard or a Sisko to help sell to the broader audience
Very interesting choice of characters. Far from the safe bet that Playmates tried. Quality looks pretty good, too. Considering that they are going to sell at Walmart and Target, I really hope they're going to be available at Smyth's Toys in Europe, too.
Everyone is messing Jellico with mud, but I think he is pretty cool captain. 1. He isn't affraid messing with Cardassians; 2. He si called best diplomat in Starfleet; 3. He is friend of Picard; 4. He wants to protect people by any cost even if that mens sacraficing his friend; 5. Admits to when he is mistaken. He is Picard but what if Picard chose to decline command of Enterprise and followed more diplomatic route on ship within borders of Federation.
I love the eclectic line-up! I'm stoked with Weyoun who was one of my asks, and Jellico looks great. I would never have expected Peter Preston! The real winner for me is Garrett. I didnt even think about her, but she's a no-brainer and looks phenomenal. I can see why some fans think they've gone too far the other way. But honestly Brian really inspires hope that this range could go the distance. He's a real fan and is actively listening to the fans who want to buy these.
A couple of these figures are very obscure for the greater audience & more casual Trek fan and therefore narrowing their potential customer base to the "hardcore" fan, albeit they can then charge a premium. Although praise given to the level of detail is bang on point. I for one would like more TOS movie era figures but not so really obscure characters. For example i don't want to see the Whales George & Gracie from STIV. I do want to see McCoy wearing Animal skins and Smoking a Cigar from STVI.
I'm SO GLAD that someone is making these figures b/c you can only make so many Kirk, Spock, Picard, figures. One figure that I'd LOVE to see made is the Klingon ambassador from STAR TREK IV - The Voyage Home. I always liked the costume/outfit on that character. Or how about a Christian Slater as the Communications officer & Chancellor Gorkon from STAR TREK - The Undiscovered Country? Oh and how can I forget Ambassador Sarek from both The Search for Spock & The Undiscovered Country?
If these are going to be scaled to match the Diamond Select/Art Asylum figures of the past, then I am excited for these! I would prefer to have seen Nog, Garak or Quark among them but hopefully some of those are in the works for future waves.
This sounds awesome! It’s a big risk making figures of obscure characters right off the bat, but these all look great. We need 1/12 scale Star Trek figures and I will probably buy everything.
This is better than playmates and this is where Star Trek toys need to go. Playmates was great in the '90s as I was a huge buyer of them being so young and I appreciate that they existed for the time that they did and all the things they made, but I think Star Trek needs to evolve beyond old licensing and higher quality toys and it looks like nacelle is getting the point at warp Factor 10!
You have a great point- Def seems at odds -- if you go this niche, could be tough to get the traction you need to get a bunch of waves out. Guess we’ll see!
I am blown away by Nacelle! And while I understand the dismay of so many here because it is an odd first wave, I also have to to admire the company's moxy for doing it. Could the price be lower? Well, I would like that, but these figures also look amazing, and they're a great size...and much to my wife's dismay, I will finally have a Valkris figure, the character after whom I named my dog. I want at least five of these already...and Nacelle can release a new Jeff Combs figure every wave. This time, Weyoun; next drop, Shran; etc. I am probably in the minority here, but I am here for the deep cuts! Next wave, give us a Kang to stand across from Captain Sulu! Excellent! All success to Nacelle!
Love these but I really want them to do the classic crews as well as these obscure choices. Hopefully they can get everyone hooked with these and then start adding in some classic choices in the waves.
I like these deep cuts, but I also think we do need classic characters. When they do classic characters, I really think they should focus on sets that are clearly logical and span every series. What I mean is all the Captains, or all the Chief Engineers. That way, it’d look good as a set even if we didn’t gat the whole crew over time.
These wre are some unique choices for sure. But i was excited to see the figures from the films. Can we eventually get the TOS crew in their TWOK uniforms? Also having several of the DD/AA figures i am excited to fill out some background characters as well. Keith and Mike keep up the great work. Mike i hope you get that promotion, you've earned it!
They look fantastic and I want them all, but you have to wonder since every company has struggled to make a full main cast from any show before collapsing, then will collectors be hesitant if there's no commitment on getting main casts done as a priority. I think some collectors don't want to wait years to complete a cast and it may have been a big factor with the new Playmates line, since there was no indication on their intentions for finishing any cast.
@Christopher_Vose Yeah, it is confusing because Brian said 7inch which is 1/10 scale. Then he continues to say 1/12 scale similar to GI Joe Classified. Every company uses there own measurements when making figures. The diamond select figures are 7" as well as the Super 7 figures but they don't match up scale wise.
@chrishernandez8318 Interesting. I found the part of the video about scale, it was super quick, established 7 inch, and went on to talk about accessories. Did they return to scale later in the panel?
I've never seen anything by you giys before, I ran across this vid on UA-cam. Those figures looks superb! If the articulation is good I'll be interested. Ball joints in the waist and diaphragm would be useful. The sculpts seem spot on.
Thanks Guys! ..."This is Wonderful New" Have been waiting for this. Thanks, also for showing the pictures from the con. Like alot other Trekkers have "TO BUY ALL OF THE THEM!" (Laugh!) Price point? We all will have to wait...as you guys said...I hope and pray this works this time! I was hoping about Playmates last time...but!? Matthew Caphart (i.e creaturman)
I actually really appreciate what they're doing and as much as these aren't necessarily the ones I want to see front and center, I would gladly purchase these so we can all get the ones we want and the ones that have never been made as well. Well. I'm really holding out for Star Trek Picard season 3 figures when they're all in their Respective jacket, outfits in the last episode. Also, an admiral Shelby figure would be good as well as a TNG version of her.
Looks like a continuation of the Art Asylum line but considering how the Playmates line flopped hard at retail I do not expect this line to be successful.
I absolutely want Tasha Yar to go with Captain Garrett from Yesterday’s Enterprise! That think Playmates called a Tar was a horrible repaint and did not look a think like her or the uniform! Castillo too! PLEASE!!!
I got a pretty cool message from one of the guys who runs the company to say they are in it for the long haul unlike the new playmates line’s 1 wave! He said the aim was 2 waves a year and they want to release at 100 figures overall. I’m full in if this is the case
Very nice, but I don't think Nacelle have watched Prodigy, they think Jellico is possibly dead. Seeing Preston was a nice touch, I think I read he's related to Scotty.
I love that they're doing something different. I love the idea of picking up a Captain Garrett in particular. But I'm also wondering why they don't have licenses for Kelvinverse or NuTrek?
These are nice. I'm most likely all in. Price will be the deciding factor. I think $30 is a bit high for these though. Needs to be between $20-25. Also need the mainstays in the line as well. If you can't put the main characters next to these then why bother with deep cuts at all?
This line says one thing to me: They don't have the licensing rights for the likenesses of any lead actors/characters. This line will last for a single wave- this wave.
I wonder why they went out of their way to put Jellico's 'possibly dead' on screen after he was just on Prodigy? Regarding Garrett, I'd love to hear your take on the uniform. I think on the TNG blu rays the Okudas mentioned that there was always problems with having access to the full red movie uniforms for use in TNG; some issue getting the turtlenecks & belts. But they were intended to be there and look poor/incomplete without them. So do you think they should go with intent in the look over accuracy reflecting production problems? It was never a good look with those elements missing. By the Okudas I guess we're supposed to envision they're present. Garrett would look so sharp with the full look; maybe Nacelle should include changeable piece with the details?
These look great but as others are saying Nacelle needs to mix in main characters with the more niche ones. They could even do unique versions, for example Kirk in his Captain's bomber jacket in Star Trek V and the main crew in their (mostly) civilian attire as they appear in Star Trek III & IV (Valkris, great but give us Kruge as well!). I included those in my suggestions to Nacelle, fingers crossed there's enough feedback to convince the company to not just do the more obscure.
I really hope Brian gets ahead of the fan reaction sooner than later. While a lot of positive there’s clearly also overwhelming opinion of we need full crews too. Good thing that I noticed Mike point too in a comment is that they genuinely seem open to feedback. My two cents if he’s smart…let the fandom know he’s heard them and they will consider starting to sprinkle a uniform crew in the next wave or send a prototype out for certain UA-camrs to line up next to the Art Asylum/DST era figures to show they will seamlessly blend in….and even then not everyone has AA/DST figures already so that may not do too much. Nacelle seems to have a lot of goodwill for these figures right now…so acting fast to show people WILL get complete crews is…pardon the pun…Paramount. Hope he takes you guys up on the offer to come on the show! Just please someone warn him about the windows first.
Exo-6 figures, which are more collectibles than they are toys because they cost about $200 each only makes a finite amount and does not do a second run.
I am interested in this line for sure, just wish they matched the 5 inch scale. I am a little confused cause I thought they said there would be a generations figure, but none of these are from Generations. I know you showed my custom Jelico ages ago, so that might be what Mike remembers. Preston from WOK is something I never got to tell Mike, in the directors cut there is a scene where Scotty explains that its Sister's oldest, in other words Scotty's Nephew, which is why the character is kind of important. Valkaris is awesome. Keith, Garrett is said with a hard G not a J. Tuvox is needed. What's funny is the Mirror Archer is one we can already make using the Diamond Select figures. The Weyoun figures has special features of Sliminess, LMAO If Garrett and Sulu had there respective captains chairs, that would be amazing, but I guess I will have to make them myself.
The red's too dark for my tastes but these aren't the finished products; can't tell if there's a torso articulation but I'm intrigued, nevertheless. Its shocking that in all the years of Star Trek this is the first time somebody has done some decent 6" figures. I want Valkris and all the Wrath of Khan cast. Wonderful.
The jellico figure of Ronny cox would go well with my Neca figures of robocop Peter Weller and terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger since they both worked with Ronny Cox on robocop and total recall which were directed by Paul verhoeven.
Haha totally fair. One of my genuine kryptonite's is remembering names...I legit can read an entire novel and not remember the name of the protagonist - let alone the pronunciation!
For me, the truly bizarre choice here is the Klingon smuggler woman who appeared for, what, maybe all of a minute in "Star Trek III"? Would've made more sense to instead have Chancellor Gorkon's daughter from "Star Trek VI" or Susan Howard's character from "Day of the Dove." This is otherwise an exciting list, though, and I like the large mix of the never-done obscure characters. Really hoping the next movie crew member to be represented for wave 2 will be Commander Janice Rand so she can be posed next to the Capt. Sulu figure!
I'm not sure what to think, to be honest. I assume these are in the same scale as the Art Asylum/Diamond Select figures. So for me personally (because I already have several of those), these figures appeal to me because I can add to that collection. BUT, for people who don't have any of those AA/DS figures, will they want to jump into a toy line with obsure choices? Also, 100 figures is overly ambitious I think. AA/DS made around 130ish over several years. These Nacelle lines would have to become very popular to reach that mark. I'm not being negative, as I said, personally I'm interested in buying them because I think they'll fit in with my existing collection. I'm just wondering what the appeal is to collectors in general.
Very mixed feelings about this first wave. On one hand these are some of the best looking Star Trek figures I've seen. Sculpt, paint, articulation all looks stellar. I'm just worried the line is gonna fail before we get any main characters. fingers crossed, I really want it to succeed
Your first wave needs to get me, impress me, show me your best stuff and best characters so I will commit to the line and buy the second wave. I’m not a die-hard fan, but was looking forward to possibly collecting this line. I didn’t remember who some of these characters are. Given that fact, I’m not dropping $30 on them. Valkris will not sell. Tuvix will not sell. Toss them into the line in wave 6 and I might get them to complete a collection. Garrett looks good. If your Data doesn’t I’m not going to bother. Archer, Sulu, and 6 other established main characters that look GREAT is a good first wave. I’ll buy them. This assortment…..yeah they look good but I would want to see Garrett next to a Yesterday’s Enterprise Picard (who we don’t have) before I’m committed to buying this line. As it stands, the first wave is a pass and I’ll optimistically look forward to seeing what wave 2 brings.
Hi guy's, I'm really excited too see these figures. A question I always want to know is are these going to be available in the UK and Europe. Weyoun is a must figure to do! I don't know why playmates didn't do this figure considering they did so many one episode figures. I would never of thought of doing Tuvixs which is a cool figure to do and a great episode to watch! If their going to do this character I'd love to see klingon Neelix in future figures . I've only found out about Necelle and Hiya startrek figures resently which at the price you mentioned will be at a similar price. I prosume these are only aimed at collectors of strek figures mainly because of the obscure figures and not like younger kidds who don't know who they are! Because if they are depending on kidds to buy them they will more than likely to fail like the 2022 playmates did.
if it were me id make more of the bottom/last 4, preston is not gonna sell like archer weyoun tuvix and sulu, if they make a flat number of all of them, you wont be able to get the ones you want and they wont sell the ones we dont, other wise looking gd, except they wont fit with playmates and are they selling them internationally?
I just ran into my Star Trek room with a tape measure. Looks like the Art Asylum and the larger Playmates (sound & motion) will be close! Very exciting news, guys!
Honestly, I think they need a balance between major "hero" characters, and obscure characters, especially since Nacelle is going with a new scale size here. These characters would have worked better if Playmates started off with them 2 years ago. But to a normie, who's going to buy Jellico, or most of these? And while not $200, still at $29 a piece, or $232 for the wave, that's not super affordable. And imagine spending the $2,900 if the line is a hit, and they make 100 figures. I guess time will tell.
I am not so sure a few main crew, or a few "deep cut" figures is the way to go for any company. As there is no interconnected line to collect. Just random characters among hundreds or thousands of possible characters. Then they never release the rest of the related characters and the whole toy line ends. Collectors want to get, say, all the primary main crew. Not just random characters with no figures available to stand them next to, in which it takes years or never to see if they ever are released. Yeah, you can do a cool Wrath of Khan figure. Then suddenly that turns out they never do the rest of the figures because they're off doing a Tuvix. Or that they end the line due to low sales. Great fgures, but do we need a Tuvix and not a Kim or Kes? What happens when no one buys Tuvix. Or say they release a Janeway and never release Tuvok or Neelix? Mego, Playmates, ReAction...Nacelle? Please give us interconnected lines. ... Idk. I just don't know.
Why do companies think that 1/12th scale equates to 7 inch tall human figures? There are only around 3,000 human beings 7 feet plus in the entire world.
This strategy makes no sense. If it was in playmates style/scale maybe but a new scale with obscure characters. Just ask Super7 how well that worked with the Simpsons.
Playmates 22 failed because it was the same characters that have been made 100 times. The quality of the vehicles was bad. Nothing like they had in the 90s which was top-notch.
It's a pretty bold first wave. I hope they succeed. I would like to see them do the most iconic versions of the most popular characters as well is filling in obscure characters.
I agree. Especially since the scale and detail seems so good!
They really do need the hero characters too for this to be successful. It's about balance.
I have a nitpick. Captain Garrett's name isn't pronounced with a J. Go back to Yesterday's Enterprise; her name is clearly with a hard G.
Fair! I shall punish Keith appropriately!
Totally stoked for this! Weyoun!!!!!!
100% They seem willing to listen to feedback so let’s see!
Nicely done, you two! We're excited about the lineup as well!
These look amazing! This is a dream line. Very very bold first wave.
I hope they still make classic characters with the deep cuts or I dont think the line will survive otherwise
Very interesting selection. I can't wait to see them for real. I think its a wonderful start and that we will find them in big box stores. Can't wait.
Very interesting choice of characters. Far from the safe bet that Playmates tried. Quality looks pretty good, too. Considering that they are going to sell at Walmart and Target, I really hope they're going to be available at Smyth's Toys in Europe, too.
Also amazing likeness on Ronny Cox, there.
Peters is the actor from the 1970's Disney " Escape from Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain".
As you said, Playmates just seemed to go in a direction that didn’t seem the right one, so hopefully Nacelle will be able to do so.
I am so excited. These will look great next to my Diamond Select figures
WEYOUN! Yes! Buying at least 10 copies, various clones for #4-#8, one to have in my car, and at work!
Everyone is messing Jellico with mud, but I think he is pretty cool captain.
1. He isn't affraid messing with Cardassians;
2. He si called best diplomat in Starfleet;

5. Admits to when he is mistaken.
He is Picard but what if Picard chose to decline command of Enterprise and followed more diplomatic route on ship within borders of Federation.
Very excited about this!
Poor Tuvix! He just wanted to live!
I love the eclectic line-up! I'm stoked with Weyoun who was one of my asks, and Jellico looks great. I would never have expected Peter Preston!

Well put. We’re with you on the optimistic front!
Like them to do battlestar galactica figures and ships
Definitely gonna carry these at my shop!
A couple of these figures are very obscure for the greater audience & more casual Trek fan and therefore narrowing their potential customer base to the "hardcore" fan, albeit they can then charge a premium. Hyped for these. Enjoyed hearing your insights. Just hope we get lots of Ferengi.
Gonna be getting the whole wave and probably every wave. I need SNW and Picard Season 3 figures like these asap!
This is a great selection. Obscure but iconic fan favorites.
I'm SO GLAD that someone is making these figures b/c you can only make so many Kirk, Spock, Picard, figures. I can't wait for these.looking forward to the Peter Preston. Maybe we can get Kruge, Joachim, David Marcus.
Scotty’s nephew
They should make a good 7 of 9 figure. I’d bet that one sells out.
I’m beyond excited and can’t wait to see the finished product. Will definitely be buying an extra Peter Preston to make a custom Scotty.
Sulu needs to be displayed in a diorama of the Excelsior bridge with the table that rises out of the floor to place the teacup on.
So you'll have a hodge podge of 7" secondary characters? Good luck. This'll be a one and done wave. Who's asking for a Tuvix? 🤣
You have a great point- Def seems at odds -- if you go this niche, could be tough to get the traction you need to get a bunch of waves out. Guess we’ll see!
Definately me! It's a lot more interesting than another Kirk or Spock.
Tuvix. YIKES!

I'm definitely getting jellico. And I heard Shelby will come in wave two if this wave is successful.
Let’s get it thwre
I wonder if these will also be height accurate as Ronny Cox is taller than Jeffery Combs. I can't wait to get my hands on a Lore someday!
I'd like to see all characters including the popular ones that have been done before
I would be all in if these were 6 inch scale. As it is, I may have to wait until the next company gets the rights.
They are 6 inch scale. They should be the same size as Marvel Legends, GI Joe Classified, Black Series.
@@chrishernandez8318 Weird, the guy from the Nacelle Company at the NYCC panel said that they would be 7 inch tall.

Welcome!
I would have preferred Tos, Next Gen, Deep Space Nine or Voyager. Hopefully they get to those.
Here's an even deeper cut. In the UNCUT version of Wrath of Kahn the Preston character was Scotty's nephew.
Which Weyoun are we getting though?

That’s awesome! We’ve reached out for comment and to see if they’d like to chat, so maybe we’ll hear back. Thanks for the info!
Really wish someone had the ships licensing so we could finally get an Enterprise C
I hope we be getting these in the UK as well hope Amazon supply them to the UK or see them in our forbidden planet shops
Take my money, Nacelle. Take it!!
Not getting these until we get the main crew. Whats the point?
Hope they succeed but wow weird character choices. Might get the Mirror Archer to put beside my Eaglemoss Mirror universe NX-01.
Very nice, but I don't think Nacelle have watched Prodigy, they think Jellico is possibly dead. Seeing Preston was a nice touch, I think I read he's related to Scotty.
Scott's nephew, according to Canon.
I love that they're doing something different. I love the idea of picking up a Captain Garrett in particular. But I'm also wondering why they don't have licenses for Kelvinverse or NuTrek?
Because Hiya Toys already has that license.
Without having watched the video first, are these 3.75, 6, 7 inch?
in the last video wasn't it mentioned that there would be a figure from Generations in the first wave? Did that get scrapped?

Fair reasoning. So let’s enjoy this one lol
In the novel of star trek 2 the wrath of khan Peter Preston is introduced as Scotties nephew
If you hear back so let us know!
Excellent point about Brian seizing the opportunity to comment on hearing the feedback. Also, great deep cut on the windows… thanks for watching !
The Weyoun figures has special features of Sliminess, LMAO
If Garrett and Sulu had there respective captains chairs, that would be amazing, but I guess I will have to make them myself.
Wonderful.
I’m sure they’ll be tweaked more as they progress- gotta start somewhere! We are excited too!
The jellico figure of Ronny cox would go well with my Neca figures of robocop Peter Weller and terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger since they both worked with Ronny Cox on robocop and total recall which were directed by Paul verhoeven.
I'm in!
Yes!
I love your content but I kept screaming at the TV every time you pronounced Captain Garrett at Jarrett. 😂😂
I shall flog Keith accordingly.
Haha totally fair. One of my genuine kryptonite's is remembering names...I legit can read an entire novel and not remember the name of the protagonist - let alone the pronunciation!
@ oh I get it. When I’m introduced to somebody if I don’t repeat their name twice it’s out of my head.
Rok-Tahk is still waiting.
Their first announcement coming out needs to sound ambitious… question became how they course correct once the market speaks a bit.
Peter was Montgomery Scott's nephew.
Very mixed feelings about this first wave. On one hand these are some of the best looking Star Trek figures I've seen. Sculpt, paint, articulation all looks stellar. I'm just worried the line is gonna fail before we get any main characters. fingers crossed, I really want it to succeed
Well said - let’s hope they get the traction to keep going!
I'm gonna need a bigger shelf.
This is the way.
😊👍🏾🎥
🙂👍🏾
As it stands, the first wave is a pass and I’ll optimistically look forward to seeing what wave 2 brings.
hear you- we’ll keep an eye on how things develop.
Because if they are depending on kidds to buy them they will more than likely to fail like the 2022 playmates did.
they better be in stores.
That’s the plan apparently! Let’s see it happen though. I’ll be pacing those aisles!
@@KeithandMike same iam excited but a tad worried but we will see iam getting jelico and maybe sulu.
interested in the weyoun
if it were me id make more of the bottom/last 4, preston is not gonna sell like archer weyoun tuvix and sulu, if they make a flat number of all of them, you wont be able to get the ones you want and they wont sell the ones we dont, other wise looking gd, except they wont fit with playmates and are they selling them internationally?
Are these the same scale as the Art Asylum?
Looks to ve
Not enough Klingons old TOS romulans as well
I don’t see this working at all. They can’t even keep a line going with the main characters
Just excited they’re giving it a shot
@@KeithandMike do you think they’ll fit right into the art asylum/select figures?
Preston better have burn marks are I will be DISAPPOINTED!!!
