  • The Five Factor Model (FFM) of personality, also known as the Big Five personality traits, is a widely accepted framework used to describe human personality variations based on five key dimensions.
The five factors are: Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and
    Neuroticism
The model was initially developed through lexical studies by multiple researchers over several decades. Raymond Cattell, in the 1940s, proposed 16 personality factors which later inspired researchers such as Warren Norman and Lewis Goldberg to identify the Big Five factors in the 1960s and 1970s. However, the FFM gained widespread recognition and acceptance in the 1980s and 1990s through the works of Costa and McCrae, who conducted extensive research and developed assessment tools like the NEO Personality Inventory.
The Five Factor Model is still widely used in contemporary psychology and personality research due to its robustness, consistency across cultures, and practical applications in various fields. It has been employed in diverse areas such as psychology, human resources, education, and clinical settings.

Darren do you delete comments recommending other narcissism channels?

@RealityCheck6T9 No I don’t delete comments about other channels, sometimes people find them helpful. But I think sometimes UA-cam might block it if there’s a link in it incase it’s spam. Otherwise by all means suggest something if you think it would be helpful or interesting

@@DarrenFMagee ok thanks. I posted a comment recommending a video called the Extortion of trust by Meredith Miller. There wasn't a link in there but it disappeared. Meredith's channel Inner Integration is a great resource on narcissism, and also I would recommend the channel Narcissism Survivor as Tom has been through so much himself and can speak from experience of the devastation narcissists cause.

The great problem with the 5F model is that it is so ... boring. Bland. Nondescript. That's not the case with MBTI, where every person is super-fantastic. But still better is astrology and its kind of magical forces from the planets. No wonder that 5F analyses are never done for money at market by a pseudo-roma woman dressed in flower dresses perusing a crystal ball.
