Toby Maguires spiderman has taught me more morals and lessons than other hero films than most obvious ones. Forgiving people, recognizing how bad you be and hurt others without knowing and much more. I love this trilogy .👍

Spiderman now a day is kinda full of circus, too much comedy even the villain like a clown. Im seeing no way home lately and mcu making the villain even worst. And every second always making jokes, the timing is so bad. Making me cringe bruh.

Peter pulling the symbiote suit and the effort he takes to get rid of the suit symbolizes the effort and pain needed to get rid of the bad habits and evil within us.
Yes, this movie has its flaws, but there are moments, scenes (like this one, which is great, one of the best of the trilogy for me) and themes in this movie that really make me think that its too overhated.
Dude, the Venom’s first appearence is a masterpiece. Peter recognizes what he became and refuses evil at the top of the tower searching for redemption, while Eddie, in the bottom can’t see the trash he actually is and asks God to kill his enemy. The music and the screaming gives a true horror feeling to Venom’s creation. Raimi didn’t want to use Venom in this movie, but he certainlly did an awesome job.

I know this comment is two months old, but i just wanted to say that it definitely does. I love Venom for that reason. It's likes a gift from the devil.. sure, you will be given great power but it is power feeding off of your hatred.
There's also another fact, In this movie the symbiote was first stuck onto peter parker(spiderman), and we know venom has the ability to learn things like humans so because it was stuck on spiderman for a long time so it copies the fighting moves of peter, creating webs like spiderman and it acquires the power of spiderman+it has its own powers
That's why venom in the end of the movie becomes a big monster

Well of course it enhances your strength, how else would Eddie, a human, would have been a match for Peter, a super human? That's just basics
The pipe scene in 4k just makes it even better. You can actually hear the pain venom is in from the noise and how the suit is trying so hard to stay with Eddie.
I love how in this universe, the suit doesn't try going back to Peter. That part of the comics never made sense to me: if Peter keeps rejecting Venom, then wouldn't it rather have revenge on him than try to take him over again and again, especially since there are others who would gladly except it.

I still like the physics on this Venom better. Especially, when Tobey was taking it off. It really felt attached, even forming hands making it more scarier. I see that it grows in size with all the anger it fed off of Tobey and Topher. That’s probably why Tobey looked at it the way he did.

Toby will forever be my OG spidy. I grew up watching this guy and till this date I can’t even imagine anyone except him as Spider-Man. When he returned in no way home I cried. And even right now I have tears in my eyes writing this. In no way home he was like a mature aged spidy, who teaches and guide the other two.Please I want him back he is the real Spider-Man for me like Robert donway as iron man, like huge jackman as wolverine, like Heath ledger as joker. This version of Venom has really grown on me to the point where I like this more then the Tom Hardy Venom. It's a real shame we never got a Raimi film with just this venom as the villain to properly develop him more.

I honestly wish that the current Venom would have the same look like this one without the symbol of course but still have the bulk like the current one. The current one made it looks like they use a lot of CGI while this one just look more real.

Recently I saw all the fan-made versions of the original ending of this movie; about Venom and how the symbiote killed him, consuming him until the bones. In recent years I have been thinking this movie had get old really bad, being worse than the first and second part of the trilogy. But now it’s different.
I have not seen the movie in a while, but due to this video now I think this interpretation of Venom from Sam Raimi is quite interesting and unique: We see this creature as a demon, as a monster which feeds of hate and the darkness.
The Venom from Tom Hardy’s movies is fisically more accurate to what a fan wants to see of this character on the big screen, but the conception of the character, I think, is more like a monster puppy who wants to eat brains and suddenly gets a friend in Eddie Brock. It’s not bad, the second Venom movie is really funny, but what I’m trying to say is that maybe all (or most of) the fans were so cruel with this version of Venom due to two things: the size and design of its (him?) body and the “bully maguire” moments.
Now, sixteen years after this movie was released I miss this kind of interpretations from characters like this, being imagined by a horror director, even when he has said that he didn’t understand and liked this character, he did a really great job.
The sounds of this Venom are really scary and real, and acts more like a savage animal and a monster, and not as… Idk… an alien scooby doo monster.
Definitely I want to see this movie after all this years, and hopefully one day we may see the Raimi’s cut. It is enjoyable to see this Venom as an adult and, for me, it also was as a child.

The cgi was honestly amazing for this time. I know its easier to animate a full suit and not a face but even at 3:35 in the freefall scene when u briefly see Tobeys face its not that bad.

The moment we see REAL Venom in Anger after seperated from his host Eddie, damn i really wanted to see Tobey fight Venom in that Symbiote Form!
All in all, this Venom is incredible. The bad thing is Eddie.
If Eddie's character had been better or if he had simply not appeared again until his skeleton was removed from the symbiote (as originally planned), we would have had possibly the best cinematic Venom.

I know some would prefer the new venom over this one. But my opinion is that the 2007 is better for the soul purpose of telling a better story.
In 2007, CGI was evolving and directors and designers were trying to get a handle over it to enhance their own films.
What must be understood from Director Nolan is that the use practical affects and attention to detail was coming to an end for movies, because it’s expensive and time consuming, whereas CGI is less costly.
Director Raimi, as most horror film artists are, LOVE WITH ALL PASSION, to have a sense of realism in their work. To have the sets and actors seem real, to be able to imagine yourself there, or even believe that it could be real(for horror sake).
He had MANY, artists. An army of artists trying to create the perfect venom for the film. And the question was, How was this character going to be(not only brought to life but) integrated into the film as realistic as possible(without having to look like a cgi npc bot).
Just like photoshop, with the new found potential found in cgi, he was able to combine practical affects with it, to create something extraordinary.
This venom may seem animalistic(even alien sometimes) but just like the Bat Man trilogy, taking an already existing idea and giving it a twist gives the audience a fresh perspective from what they already know.
CGI today makes things seem unrealistic if over done, but with the right techniques, a film could have awesome scenes.
It’s all about telling an immersive story.
You may just want laughs and action, but for a film like this(Sony forced Raimi), this movie was sadly under lots of compromises.
The designs and the story were great, but at a cost.
