One thing I’ll admit that makes this scene great is how Harry doesn’t give that cliche villain speech about how he’s gonna pay, etc. He just proceeds to basically say, “You’re gonna die” and beats the shit out of him.
I like that too. He actually means it and genuinely attempts to kill him and doesn't just highly choreograph flip around him
This ain't anime bro

He was casual about it too which I love. The third movie was not my favorite, but Harry as the new Goblin was done wonderfully.
@@acceleratorjokerdarkness238 I feel like wonderfully done is a bit of a stretch, but I still agree that he is still a pretty good Goblin

@Clint O'Connell because hulk has a simple and boring design there's no other way to do it you said it yourself the green goblin in the the comics looks ridiculous and stupid making a new design is a way to cement the character and make them better the one in the movie is better than the comics because it looks threatening and cool
@Clint O'Connell no one wants to see comic green goblin because he looks stupid
@Clint O'Connell the dark knight was insanely accurate and embarrassed the source material
Tom holland: I'm nothing without the suit
Tobey maguire: the suit is nothing without me
Not only that but Harry puts up a better fight than Adrian(Vulture). MCU really did Spider-Man dirty
Not only tobey but Andrew too
I really don’t like how they went away from Spider-Man’s webs actually coming from his body, I don’t really like that he relies on gadgets in both the Andrew Garfield and time holland version. Lol I grew up with this Spider-Man trilogy and the Spider-Man games for ps2 so Toby is def the goat for me 👑
@@hop___5477 You gotta understand bud, Spiderman ALWAYS had web shooters in the comics which were out WAY before this. The Raimi trilogy brought the organic web into play on their own
Elijah Bruno lmao tru but I prefer this, just feels more natural. Come on bud.
The anxiety around losing the ring in the middle of the battle is such a Peter Parker/Spider-man moment.
I remember seeing this In theaters and the crowd cheered when he had the ring in his hand
Usually he would be talking saying not the RING NOOO, or something funny, but tobeys spidermna didnt really used to talk during fight scenes
This completely captures the exaggerated swagger of a simp

No matter the hate Spider-Man 3 gets, this scene was totally badass.
It is not because of this scene or any other action scenes. It is because of the emo parker. Well I love it all, in the end we got ourselves a meme lord but people do not think it that way
Yeah. We call him bully maguire
Definitely agreed
I bet Raimy didn´t saw Spiderman TAS, specialy episodes: about Alien costume and Venom.
I expected Dr. Connors(lizard) will be the villain. Jameson on pills was odd.
Why Jameson,s son wasn´t kidnaped and be a victim? From black Spidey I expected a ,,Punisher way,, dealing with mafia mob.
Emo-dance+that bar scene?! Raimi why?!! Instead of Gwen they should add Felicia Harwey. Saving rich people has benefits.
I wanted R-RATE!!
I'll never understand that hate either. I mean, the movie does have problems. I get the whole "emo Peter" thing and the issue with Venom. But that's ALL anyone seems to talk about. What about the rest of the movie? There was A LOT of good stuff in Spider-Man 3. There's more good than there is bad. It's not the absolute train-wreck that audiences make it out to be.
I love how peters spider sense doesn’t alert him of Harry because it doesn’t perceive him as a threat.
Although he does make a face perceiving danger, Spider sense seemed to not be working through the entire movie, especially against Venom (which makes sense)
@@ricardoniebla6742 But if you think about it, it makes sense. In Spider Man 3, Peter is more cocky and when he gets the black suit he becomes more aggressive, so he probably doesn't care about the danger.
@Chaka Laka Yeah? Thanks.
his spider sense was confused but still told him about somthing
It's pretty much a plot thing.

Nah are we not gonna talk about the way he caught his glider when he was free falling? I know it was supposed to do that but the way he just lands on it and goes right back to chasing Peter. Absolutely amazing and poetic. This is my favorite scene in the whole trilogy
I was thinking the same thing.
I like how Harry knew not to let Peter control the fight by swinging around and how he made sure to keep attacking every time he tried to bc once he was able to start swinging he controlled the fight by going to a tight area that was to hard for Harry to use is glider properly
I love the fact that Peter didnt really show his powers until he was gutted in the stomach. He started swinging and webbing after he realized he was facing a deadly threat.
No Shit! He's *Spider* man.
Spiders do that.
At that point he propably realized this threat KNEW his true identity and he was spiderman.

This is what I miss in the new Spider-Man movies. So much used to be at stake. You could always see Peter in his most vulnerable moments. Every fight he was in carried a lot of weight emotionally because he was always fighting to protect someone/something he loved, and not because he wanted to impress Tony Stark
I missed the raimi films so much this scene was so intense and full of emotions The choreography fighting is unmatch
Sadly the movies that we have now in the Mcu most every line is a comedy 🤮

This is not a good argument. I'm not saying MCU Spiderman is better or anything (don't really want to start a fight I can't win yk) but literally the only movie where he's trying to impress Tony is Homecoming. In FFH and NWH the stakes are plenty high. Can't comment on TASM movies cause I haven't seen them but it doesn't sound like you were talking about those.

and tobey's webs are natural too sincw tom and andrews came mostly from there suits
And he did it since the second movie.
Yeah I know
Andrew mostly used his for wrapping and making sort of supportive columns whenever he's immobilizing enemies along with his iconic webshooting that looks like he's firing dual pistols. The scene that showed that the most is his fight with the lizard at his school.
While Tom although he doesn't do the web balls move (yet), we've seen him use his webs just almost the same as Andrews but we rarely seen him use his web gadgets throughout his stark suit era
It’s ricochet web instead of sticking, it bounces
It’s hard to believe people say this was the worst spider-man by toby, SM-3 was literally my favorite out of the 3.
It’s because nowadays people allow other people to decide what movies they like instead of them deciding themselves. People allow other’s opinions to manipulate their own.
@@JORDAN-ul9vs sadly that’s the truth, I believe a lot of people loved this movie, but like you said they allowed people and the media to manipulate their opinions.
Or ya know some people could just legitimately think it’s the worst one, they’re allowed opinions too. Worst doesn’t mean bad, just means not as good as SM2.
WTF this shit is a masterpiece. The new spiderman has never had anything this epic happen. In fact I cant even remember what new Spidey did that was dope. Please help me.. Thes best part of Tom Holland Spiderman was the cool suit tech. He aint ever done epic shit like this.

Let's be nice here and get along. We all love Tobey, I myself included. If he's in the movie it'll be awesome but maybe he won't fair so we'll against the newer villains because he doesn't possess the technological advancements that Andrew and Tom do. That tech can be beneficial in reverting, hmm let's say, electros electricity. Tobey doesn't have anything like that and has to tank all blows done to him. Love this fight scene. Peter won because he’s far more experienced and battle tested. You can tell Harry got his new powers and immediately rushed off to confront a fighter far stronger and more experienced than him. Mistakes novice’s make.
Although I do agree with you, I also think that Harry put up a pretty decent fight given that this was his first time doing something like this. There were several times where you see him dominating against Peter. Though, its also arguable that he had the element or surprise on his side. Still a good figh scene overall.
@@RBKearney Let's not forget that Peter was focused on getting the ring back for the 1st half of the fight and didn't really try to severely hurt Harry while Hary was going for the jugular.
@@Enraged_Sandal Good point too. That definitely contributes to Harry's inexperience in fighting compared to Peter where he could afford to restrain himself and extend his awareness to defending himself and getting the ring back.
I could go hours watching you two debate.
@@RBKearney Also, Harry came at him w a vengeance. He had stronger motives to fight him as where Peter was just trying to defend himself, like you mentioned . So he put up a decent fight, until Peter started thinking like a Spider, slick, flexible & trapping Harry w his web🕸 Awesome first fight scene!
Peter: "I didn't kill your father!"

The Unknown I guess? Though if the movies do in fact follow real time, then yeah, it'd be five.
I don't understand why folks hated New Goblin. Everything about him, design wise, was a massive improvement over Norman's outfit. Even the Glider was sleek and less bulky.
Because it's not Goblin themed. The whole design is if someone took the Goblin mantle and became more heroic. It's looks more superhero than supervillain. That doesn't mean it's bad. I do like it. But it's no Goblin suit.

Thats what the new mcu movies lack. Actual emotion in the fight scenes.
@@kayamusic5696 They lack way more than that. They aren't even superhero films anymore. Think about what being a Superhero means in the Raimi Spiderman movies - anonymity and sacrifice. In the first movie he learns that he cannot use his powers for himself, and spends the rest of the movies barely paying his bills and and trying to afford a ring for MJ. His foil, Goblin, is a megalomaniac who uses his powers for his personal gain. In the second movie he almost gives it up to be "normal" and pursue love and success. His foil, Doc Oc, loses his love and his success, and becomes consumed by it. He only redeems himself when Spiderman has learned his lesson and confronts him with his own words about sacrifice. Third movie teaches him to give up on revenge after he watches it destroy Harry and Eddie Brock. Each is a personal story of growth and selflessness winning in the end.
MCU Spiderman is basically an Avengers employee doing a paid internship where he gets all the cool gadgets he wants, and instead of living up to the ideal of "great power, great responsibility", he's driven by a desire to be like Iron Man, who stopped being a good character ages ago. The Avengers went from a kickass team to basically an NGO discussing eternal politics in Civil War, and now it just feels like a big corporation.
@@rachedel-moctar4290 Exactly. I enjoy the MCU films, they’re fun watches for me, but they don’t have the lessons and character growth that films like the Raimi Trilogy or the Dark Knight Trilogy had. Specifically with Spider-Man, while I did enjoy the films they did, they focused way too much on Iron Man. I like the idea of Tony Stark training Peter, but not when he’s starting out. And while comedy does fit in a Spider-Man Movie, and they removed it in scenes where they should have, none of the lines were memorable. The Raimi and Webb films have so many great lines, like “It’s Pizza Time”, or “It’s my Birthday, now it’s time for me to light my candles”, yet the Holland films have no great lines like this. While Vulture and Mysterio I feel were close to perfect, Vulture actually felt like a Raimi Villain, Peter doesn’t have all of the trials and tribulations we see in the previous franchises. We don’t get to see him lose Uncle Ben and deal with it, Ben was only mentioned once or twice ever, we don’t get to see a lot of him having to deal with bullies and girls, since he spends quite a lot of the movie on a Trip with intelligent people like him who aren’t bullies, and we rarely get to see him have to balance his lives as Spidey and Peter. We rarely see him do something good as Spider-Man that causes Peter Parker to look bad. He never deals with responsibility (at least until No Way Home, which seems to be heavily going into the Great Responsibility side). Also, he got all this advanced Tech way too fast, I hate how much they use that Iron Spider suit. It looks cool, but why did he have to use it in Far From Home? And I want a film that focuses solely on Peter, but in each film he has to get some sort of mentor. In Homecoming it was Iron Man, in Far From Home it was Fury (really Talos), and in No Way Home it will be Doctor Strange. I just hope that depending on how No Way Home ends, this second Holland trilogy melds Spidey into his own hero, not tied into Iron Man, and he’ll actually face responsibility

@@XD_SPIDER he's a GODDDD. the choreography, the cinematography, the score, ahhhh they all make the action scenes so incredible. superhero movie action scenes nowadays don't stand a chance against raimi's fight scenes
@@mel-gt5ff totally agree, i think none of producers nowaday have balls to make fight scene this good, all the time it is cut cut cut, can't see shit what was going on, they just want to blow shit up for no reason
@@namekiz3199 yeah exactly and nowadays, i feel like many fights are an afterthought once the scene has been shot, then they just get overloaded with cgi. raimi's fight scenes stand out bc u can tell they planned out the choreography and the camera work before they shot them. that's why they're so well executed - they're actually treated like a priority like any other scene and they don't get overloaded with explosions or cgi after bc the choreography and cinematography can carry the scenes on their own
Ya I agree but there are some parts also great from the Andrew and Tom Holland movie like how Andrew crawl real smooth like a spider when he wrap the lizard with his webs. Tom Holland 's webs looks more Web-like

At the very beggining of the scene you can see Peter’s smile drop seconds before being snatched up, indicating his spider senses had gone off. Small little details really make this movie so much better!
And his expression says “Spider sense? Why? I'm on my civilian clothes why is it ting-”
Some students from college look up:
"What the?... Hey, is that Peter Parker?"
"Yeah, it sure looks like it"
"Why is he swinging through the city like Spiderman?"
"I don't know."

Yeah dude. Just watch homecoming and it was really good. But I don't really like when he says "please sir I'm nothing without my suit" I always skip that part Spiderman is not ironman, Spiderman is more than a suit. Tobey fighting without his suit shows how spiderman is supposed to act.

The ring was falling in normal time. It’s just that they both were fighting at really fast speeds.
Michael Mamo They don’t have to fight at light speed... they were just fighting really fast so that he can get the ring back. I don’t know why you’re comparing them to a light speed runner....

I like that Harry didn't go on a 2 minute rant like other villains do. He was there to kill Peter, so he tried to kill Peter, not give him an English lesson.
Remember that Harry is currently as strong as Norman was in the first movie. Peter was basically fighting the Green Goblin again and all he got was a few scratches and bruises. Peter got much stronger compared to when he started out

This scene is great. The choreography, cgi, music, sfx, and camerawork all work beautifully. This fight is particularly brutal and intense too, really shows the hatred Harry has for Peter.
If only the Green Goblin's ghost hadn't pressured Harry to avenge his dad for what Spidey did. I mean after all, his dad's own experiment killed him and Harry was too blinded to see it.

Harry’s Death works well in context but it really didn’t make sense

It takes me 10 years to realize that goblin technology has the same as ironman technology. Can fly, has some tech tricks features, weapons. Oscrop vs. Stark industries is the company fights we never had.
Facts but stark industries would stomp tbh…
Oscorp invented their own power armor, glider and super soldier serum(even if unstable). All this allowed Osbourne to face Spiderman as an equal and gave him superior physical stats to any MCU super soldier.
Same with MCU Vulture, the inventor managed to create exotic weapons using a materials that "doesnt exist".
And both of their CEOs create a technology that turns them into super humans, The difference is that one is a hero who uses his technology to help people whereas the other one is a madman who uses his technology for murder and crimes
