When booking a K1 fiance visa consulate interview at ustraveldocs.com or usvisa-info.com it is all too frequent to see “no appointment date available”. Here VisaCoach demonstrates how to use Check4change to monitor the online booking websites, to be notified when time slots open up to allow you to schedule the fiancee visa embassy interview.

After you put together an awesome front loaded presentation, waited patiently for USCIS approval,
and got it, then waited for NVC to forward the case overseas, got their letter confirming
the new case number, then are contacted by consulate that they have your case, followed the
instructions to register at ustraveldocs.com or usvisa-info.com pay the visa fee, wait another day to return online to FINALLY book the interview, and when you get to the booking calendar you see "No appointment date available"
.
It is a very frustrating moment. You are "this close" to the end of the process, but now have come against
a blank wall.
"No appointment date available"
doesn't mean forever, it doesn't mean the consulate has gone out of
business.
What it means is that TEMPORARILY, all the appointment time slots that were available, have been taken by
other visa candidates.
Typically the availability calendar only shows a month or two in advance,
gradually the consulate slowly "rolls out" or releases new available dates.
This means that maybe, once a week, sometimes once a month, they add extra times and dates to
the far end of the calendar.
If you are fortunate enough to be online just after they add the extra dates, you would see the available times,
and could book your choice.
But it is "first come, first serve".
If a lot of other applicants are waiting to book their appointments the available dates could be snapped up quickly,
sometimes within hours of posting.
The consulate will tell you "Keep coming back, keep logging in to view the calendar, and when you see
an opening, "take it".
Unfortunately they never give the real helpful advice which would be when the consulate will post their next updates.
Just "keep coming back"
When you do come back, you are viewing a "real time" calendar. This means if someone who had
an appointment just cancelled it, the opening would immediately display, and it could be for just a
few days or week later. Otherwise the big change will be when the consulate adds more openings.
A lot of applicants, revisit the booking calendar many times a day, hoping at the next login they
will be able to book their appointment.
This can be very frustrating and time consuming.
I have a TIP for you, that can make this process less painful.
I want to tell you about a very useful extension available for Firefox, called Check4Change.
What is does, is monitor a page on the internet, and notifies you in case that page has changed.
You can use this this to watch the "No appointment date available"
page, to alert you when
that annonying statement is removed and appointments actually ARE available.
Remember it is "first come first serve". So if you are the first to learn new bookings are available
you will get first choice.
Use Firefox browser.
go to "check4change.com".
Click "here" to download the extension
then click to "allow"
A window will popup, then click "install now".
Finally, restart Firefox.
I will use ustraveldocs as an example.
You register, then print out deposit slip, take that to
the bank that is accepting payments for visa fees and pay the
consulate's visa fee.
Typically it takes 4 to 24 hours before the payment is updated to
your fiance's account.
After waiting the normal time, login then go to "My Dashboard".
You should see, confirmation that the fee has been paid.
It keeps saying "no appointments available " 😔😔 I don't know what to do. Why does it have to be a punishment. I made all my papers required for the interview and paid for them and paid all the fees and we reserved for the wedding and everything. This is so frustrating
Yes, this can be a very frustrating process. Sorry but the only thing for it is to return to the booking calendar everyday until you see "appointment available", then book it right away. Good luck !!
You are 100% correct it's a real punishment indeed from immigration. From the application start day to the end are maximum frustration with long waiting period of time. I Think US Citizens don't deserve this up and down punishments.
I logged in and they had a disclaimer on the login page saying they had available appointments in a certain day. I logged in and when I went to schedule it, it logged me out and rate limited me. Saying I’m frustrated is beyond me at this point. Using a VPN also doesn’t work.
Due to the recent fast processing of K1 visas at USCIS, K1 cases are getting to Philippines a YEAR ahead of what the experience was at the start of this year. This resulted in 3-4 times more K1 applicants seeking appointments at the same time. Eventually the consulate will catch up, but in the mean time the system is overwhelmed.
Hello Sir, my visa type is F2 and the interview appointment is entered every day and I am checking it. It is 9 months and it says no appointment date available. Calandar does not open, but when I check from 2 months on, it says System is busy. What should I do please?

I have a question Sir and It would mean a lot if u would answer, so example u get the NVC approval and when the case is saying that is ready status but embassy didn’t contact u yet, is it bad if u file the ds 160 and then wait for embassy to give u instructions? ty
Depends on the circumstances and consulate. So you follow the advice of the consulatant or attorney who is working with you and knows the full details including having worked with the consulate in the past. Or if you are sadly on your own, contact the consulate directly for their instructions and policies.

Hello, I paid my visa fee. I got ds 160. When i logged in to my ustraveldocs account, I saw a lot of available dates. Can I schedule my appointment OR wait until the ambassy contacts me

What deposit slips are you talking about? I was wondering since I've been waiting forever for a interview, I have paid all my required dates. My question is, I have my receipt number. Do I have make another payment at the bank in order to use Chance4Change? I used the Travel Doc Information.

hi. my fiance has a daughter and i was wondering if she should just add her daughter on (add another applicant) when scheduling an interview or have a separate schedule?
It is critical that mom and child both attend the interview together. Best practices is to originally include the child's info with the original application. If you haven't done that, but now you have decided to include the child, best is to confirm directly with the consulate how they would handle the situation. I always council my clients to not plan to separate mother and child, but to include the child in the process from the "get go".

Sorry, but worldwide, pretty much each consulate has a different procedure and scheduling system. What you should do is ask the consultant or attorney who is helping you, or the consulate that directed you to their scheduling system.

I got a email from nvc saying I got my interview date and time but when I created my portal it says no appointment available do I have to travel for the date of my interview or I have to wait for a different date to show on my portal
Sorry I don't know anything about your situation. If it is a Fiance visa, then NVC does not schedule the interview, and you would go on and schedule the interview yourself. IF NVC scheduled it for you then it is a Spouse Visa, and since the interview is scheduled you do not need to book it. Sorry, I believe you are confused on what you have and or need.

UStraveldocs temporarily blocks computers that refresh at their website too frequently. You could probably double your refreshes by using different computers using different ip addresses.

If you haven't paid the visa fee, you don't see the calendar.
If you have paid the fee, and the calendar is visible, but no openings for interview, then it means you need to keep returning until you find they have added more openings.

Typically that is the date your application was first recieved at USCIS

Its an all too common mistake that DIY couples make by arriving to the interview missing one or more of the required evidences. If the rest of the interview
goes well, then the consular officer may say "You are approved,pending you submitting the required document". Your case is then left open, waiting
for you to take action. Once you send the missing item to the consulate, then your case is on Administrative Processing. If lucky your case
is handled right away, if not lucky you can wait for quite a while. Sorry there is NO standard time for AP. It is a low priority for the consulate.
