Wow, I just filed my I-129F on June 20 and got my NOA-1 on July 9. The funny thing is that the NOA-1 actually has the date they received my application as June 24 and the "Notice" date as June 26 (I assume that's the date they prepared the I-797C NOA-1), and the envelope is stamped for July 1. I'm not sure why it took 8 days in the mail. I hope my NOA-2 comes within in 2 months.
Oh wow. That’s awesome. Do you mind me asking what country you applied from? It’s seeming to me that certain countries take less time (I could be wrong though).
Eventually, I expect all processing times will experience some improvement. Probably not as dramatic as what is happening with K1 fiance visas now, but beneficial to everyone.
Hello visa couch, my fiancés k-1 visa appointment confirmation page has no ds-160 information. It only has the MRV fee barcode. Is this normal? During the process they never asked for the ds-160 number.
Procedures vary, as does which online scheduling service is used by the various consulates. You should ask the consultant or attorney working with you, what the specific procedures are for the consulate handling your case.
It's true, the process is moving fast right now. Because it is an election year? Don't know but I'm happy. For us it was only 4 months. We were expecting to wait for a year. Edited: It was improved in 3 months, not 4 months.
Yes, I agree that politics played a part. Trump had pushed for the USCIS fee increase during his term in office. Democratic controlled Congress blocked it. Now in election year, Biden and his Congress have approved the fee increase. I doubt if that is a coincidence. Politics as usual. At least finally USCIS can hire capable staff and hopefully provide better service across the boards going forward.
Hi! I heard that the time required for the process varies depending on each center. If it is done at a center in Nebraska, is it likely that it will be less than 9 months even if I apply next year?
Wait an additional 60 days, then if not arrived contact USCIS directly with proof that your filing fee was deposited, and ask them to find the case and resend it to your address which you reconfirm is in their records.
Hey, we applied petition on oct 2023 our k1 case was approved in March 2024 from nvc but nvc didn't forward our case because Islamabad embassy is crowded so we're still waiting.
As mentioned in the video, as time goes by, I expect the processing to slow, month by month. I forecast that eventually it may settle down to 9 months. Currently my cases submitted in June are being approved by USCIS in 4 or 5 months.
There is an odd gap where almost no approvals are happening from cases received in the last week of February and first week of March of this year. I don't understand why it's happening.
I believe that the "last week of Feb" cases were placed into a "veteran reviewers" already full inbox, whereas the more recent cases were sent into the empty inbox of new, rookie, reviewers.

Nope. I have not seen similar results with spouse visas yet, and expect some improvement, but probably not as dramatic as what is happening with K1 Fiancee visas.
"Notice is Action" is what USCIS calls the notices it sends out. They can be receipts, biometrics interview dates, interveiw dates, and approval notices, among many more possibilities
If the trend of faster processing at USCIS of K1 visas continues, then you might pass USCIS in 3 to 4 months. Then the balance of your wait is based on the State Department and the consulate you will be processed at. A reasonable expectation USCIS and Department of State combined is a year till visa is issued.
Let's be honest. You have nothing to do with USCIS being more efficient. As of today 24AUG, USCIS has slowed dramatically. I am at 2.5 months and counting.
Always have been and always will continue to be honest. When I announce what processing times, fees, eligibility, etc, etc are I am not "taking credit". I am helping people understand what is going on.

@@Visacoach so, is this speedy process out of California only? I sent my petition to Texas and the tracking USPS shows that it was delivered to the PO Box on September 20th - a month ago, but no receipt of NOA1. 😔

Let us know when you get your NOA2. Fingers crossed it won't be too long. I do expect that as time goes by the turnaround for new cases at USCIS will slow, today I am getting cases approved after 3 months, I expect that by the end of the year that may slow to about 9 months. Still that is much, much better than the last few years of 15 months turnaround.
