Studied lights for 6 months before I purchased. Best advice is make an educated choice and not just based on advertisements or what everyone else is using. Notice that "420 Scene" always tells you the options are up to you and your preferences. One of the best teachers on the web!!!!!
Honestly i use three different lights in one tent, two 5000 led shop lights from autozone and one 10000led shop light from walmart and have fantastic results, love your videos man!

I went with Mars Hydro Tents because they are a little bigger then the competition , I bought Mars SP series lights because of the good reviews and affordable cost. I put an SP 3000 in my 2x4x6 and 2 SP 150s in my 2x2 "27 x 27" actual. Basically I went all in with Mars and have zero regrets. I second 420 Scene and his opinions on Mars Hydro. Good Talk , Thanks for sharing.

@@allenbloom1500 I love my Mars Hydro tsw 2000... but i cannot say that Mars is ontop of their game 100%... I dont like the the diodes arent 100%water proof. makes me worry my humidifier will hurt my lights. And I saw on the Mars hydro FS bar light series they added uv diodes but what a waste! Uv diodes are super expensive so if a company adds them to their fixtures, they usually only add like 8 diodes so they can say its full specttrum...

Nice my retro shades strutting growmie one of your best videos yet I hope you don’t mind but this is going to be a long one I have a great story and since I know you like telling stories yourself I think you’ll really like this one so quick little background so I told you before I’ve been growing two years but my uncles and their friends always grew top notch weed threw out my childhood and teens and still today a couple still do so I picked up a lot of secrets along the way anyway I’m rolling yes an hps 1000 watt 5x5 full setup money isn’t really a big deal for me so it’s feasible but I will be transiting into LED this summer I also have a 4x4 I use as a vege or clone tent and another4x4 tent for drying so here’s the story lol told you it would be a long one so I have a female partner I grow with she’s an amazing friend I’ve known since I was 15 we are both in our mid 40s both happily married and I grow big and consistent running five at a time I would go more but Illinois only allows five so I’m producing a yield every two months I begin a vege for the last month of flower on a consistent cycle so that’s my bag you dig she love’s cloning and collecting the best strains and keeping mother plants which works out perfect so recently I got to meet an amazing friend of hers this guy literally oozes love and looks like he just stepped threw a portal from Woodstock lol but he is very old school and has been growing since the early sixties and my weed partner finally talked him into meeting me so I rolled up two fatties of my finest and we went over their we sat down sparked up and began toking some of my all time fav blue dream the life this guy lead is unbelievable and his weed just screams decades of experience and absolute perfection on a level I felt so privileged just to be around so towards the end of our meeting and after him showing me his killer grow op we sat back down and fired up that other joint lol and he really seemed to feel comfortable with me I have that gift then I swear he said Jeremy give me your hand so I did he then said I’ve been diagnosed with stage four cancer and I’m not taking treatment he asked do you know what I love more then all the amazing musicians artists actors and friends I’ve had threw the years Jeremy I said please bob tell me at that moment Leah my weed partner lol walked into the room with a decent size plant and he said this strain of Buddha he then told me how in 1965 he had been growing for a few years when he met this Russian who gave him a full plant of it this plant for it’s time was so strong and so good it catapulted him into the in crowd of the counter culture and has been growing it every since he then said Leah has been taking care of me and looking after my ladies she talks about you all the time and how your a good guy and has always been their for her he then said Jeremy everyone I know is dead or gone I want you and Leah to have my Buddha girls I want you to grow and enjoy them as long as you can and when you can’t pass them along to another deserving soul I promised him immediately I would it was an afternoon that honestly even though I only met him once I’ll never forget and cherish and two days ago bob past away and handed me and I’m not exaggerating the best marijuana I’ve ever smoked smell taste buzz all absolutely fantastic so sticky lol it’s honestly amazing weed I’m talking cannabis cup quality if cured properly and I love it and I will grow and grow it one at least with every run forever anyway I thought you would enjoy this story lol I just wish I met him along the way back in the day keep up the great content my friend I do enjoy it

I run a Mars Hydro Ts3000 in my 4x4 tent. I’ve heard a lot of people talking about it getting really hot. I have not had this issue i run a small fan in the top of tent and run a A/c infinity 4” exhaust fan @ 50% and never have high temps. Now I do grow in my basement so it’s naturally cooler so I’m sure that plays a big roll in it. Over all I think it has great power at 450watts at the wall. Since it has good power you can run it a lot less wattage during early veg and save money and not sacrifice quality growing. Also the new ones have a dimming turn knob switch so no more need to adjust drivers with screw driver. Take your time if your purchasing the ts 3000. It’s like $400 on certain web sites but can find it for about $250 on others. Happy growing 🤙🏻
I have a video on Tuesday coming out about that. I’m not too crazy about my TS 3000 either. It definitely doesn’t run a little bit too hot.
loving my Mars TS lights.....yes HLG and others are better but those are pro grade. Mars is killing it with price to performance for us hobbyist/home-growers.
Pulled up into the 420 scene for some info and you never disappoint! I just got that Mars hydro tsw 2000 and it it sweet! Put it in a 4x8 along side that sp 4000.

Trust me bro 💯I would love to have a spider farmer lights but this k4000 Aglex I got 2 of them after using the one in my 1st grow and seeing how good 👍of results I ended up ordering another one for my 2nd run and for the money 💰it's definitely worth the price

First run indoors , mars 2×2 tent & mars ts 1000 light , purchased at auction around 100$ G13 auto in the tent day 21 . So far all good.
Started growing back in the late 80's with MH and HPS bulbs. The old lights worked great and produced great crops but they were just so inefficient compared to todays choices. The heat they produced was a constant concern. I don't think the led lights of today grow better weed, but they are much cheaper and safer to operate.
Cheaper I don't know about that but way way cooler and better spectrums, last a hellof a lot longer, bulb costs alone were a good reason to switch, BadMF

Hey bro what’s your recommendation on a led light for a 4x4 that I’m usually strictly for veg im keeping some moms to eliminate the dreaded down time between runs I don’t feel like doing my own research I want your opinion
he is right about disputing lights HPS I've smoked a lot of weed from them . but my favorite and I wont go anywhere else is my viparspec XS4000 great driver LM301B diodes ,dimming 4x4 room great and 1908 ppfd at 12 inches and 898 at 24 inches and 600 will make a bud usually not as nice but will thank you for letting me share keep coming back it smokes if you torch it

Ever use viparspectra im running tge blue/purple full spectrum Been thinking about getting a mars hydro seems like the white light full spec leds are doing great stuff
I actually don’t like them at all. To be fair I did have a few of their lights back in 2017 I think and they just were not really efficient lights at all. Mars Hydro I think it’s way better. And it’s not because I’m sponsored by them.

The two ts 600s I'm running have been doing really well so far, I know one light would probably flower my 4 autos but the buds would be airy hopefully with two they get fat. Ts 600 is great for one big ass plant.
So I got a question for you bud I am having a very very hard time getting hold of Mars Hydro I bought a light and intend about 6 months ago and my tent has so many light leaks I literally have the cover the thing with like six blankets and my Mars Hydro light my 6,000 has burned out halfway all the diodes are gone I've been trying to get ahold of Mars Hydro 2 hopefully get it replaced it's on warranty but for some reason they don't ever seem to be getting back to me and it's been going on 3 months now me trying to get a hold of them please say I'm going to have to say something in public and I'd really hate to drag down there reference but their references are not looking too good

Question:
Grow more outdoors but I have grown indoors with the HPS and HID indoors, buts indoors has been years ago. Want to start growing indoors again but worried about electric bill. When I grew with the HPS the electric company called making asking about why my light usage is so high. It’s now leagal here to grow but I don’t want to be paying more than 50 dollars more per month.
The QUESTION:
Is there a big difference in light cost per month using a 100w vs a 300w LED and will the 300w stay under 50 per month with a 18/6? Thanks

i went with Growers Choice LED for my first and didn't disappoint. Better to go with something that's going to last if you only spend a few hundred on a light you might feel like you want something bigger after your first few grows (depending on if your doing a micro grow or decent size)
I got 2 viperspectra xs4000 lights what are your thoughts?
I built a 48" X 50 X 8' grow room I use the ts600 and I have 2 five gallon buckets. My plants got so tall I had to bend the stems down. Now I got to do it again. I'm the one the let the plants grow to tall ts600 is a great light 30 rh. And 77 degress
I have a 4x4 tent by 7 ' high I have two LEDs that I keep at 32"s from the top of canopy plants are loving it at week six in Auto grow lots of buds starting to stack... shazam I love growing and your channel... I use Mars Hydro SP Series, I have the SP 3000 and am getting the SP 150 shipped to me.
Their new FC line is impressive. Im planning to snag an 800w to run against my 800w mammoth lights. About to pull 3 pounds off a single light woth mammoth. If Mars can keep up then it's savings and quality. The PPFD tests show it should be able to compete.

hang a string under your light cut to the 20 inches or 18 or whatever distance you decide you are going to set at this will be an easy indicator of the growth and tell you when you must move the light and you can do so without measuring

I've got a p2500 and a xs2000. Just using the p series in my 4x4 tent while in veg. When I change to flower I'll fire up the xs to help the p series with the sea of green. Wall to wall buds.

Viparspectra is ass compared to Spider Farmer. I put SF and Mars Hydro neck and neck with each other. The new quantum boards technology is a serious game changer.

But yeah loads of great info about lights. We're rocking the Spider Farmer series and the plants are loving it! Finally got my hands on that Stawberry Fields. Just drpped GG and Gelato O.G. Can't wait to see how they preform. Let me ask you, is it a thing to start off in Strawberry and then transplant into Ocean Forest? What do you think will happen?
No it would not make sense to start off in Strawberry Fields and then transplant into Ocean Forest because ocean forest is nitrogen-based while Strawberry Fields is phosphorus-based. Plants need nitrogen for growth and development in the vegetative stage. But your plants will need phosphorus and potassium during the flowering stage so that doesn’t even make any sense. I like to start out in happy frog and then transplant into strawberry fields, and you can add compost tea to it. Or Recharge.

Whatever light you get make sure it's gotta dimmer or make sure your tent is tall enough for you plants, cause if you make a mistake like I did all you get are light stressed plants an little or no bud
I got a bloom plus bp4000 in my 4x4 and it’s working out really nice for me. It’s supposed to be enough to veg a 6x6 and flower a 5x5. I had to raise it because it was burning my og kush at 18”. It’s a very nice light for the $340 Amazon deal price.

Good video, But you left out one thing when it comes to heat stress because the most harmful heat stress isn't caused by high air temperatures as much as the infra red light that gets to the leaves, thats why you see it on the leaves getting the most light and the leaves that are shaded seem un affected. I use a ir thermometer to monitor the surface temp of the leaves and if they are not below the ambient temp I know to reduce the light, It's usually high humidity that causes this kind of heat stress because the plants can't transpire enough water to cool themselves, good rule of thumb is if you find the environment comfortable so will your plants.
I'm a HID grower and would recommend that if you grow in a small space and can afford LED use them! Some of these companies are getting really decent light spectrums and are putting out impressive PAR numbers but remember that infra red is a light spectrum that causes heat stress even if the air around the leaves isn't too hot the leaf surface may be.

I have a 2x2x4 tent with a MarsHydro TS-600 which worked well. I switched to a Spider Farmer SF-1000 pulling only 100 watts from the wall. Bud tops at 11" and 85% power are getting 950 PAR which is perfect for me 😎✌... The Spider Farmer wins!
spider farmer's ppf at the edges seems to drop off a bit more than Mars
@@SageLakshmi Yes but for me and my tiny 2x2x4, penetration to the lower canopy is what I need. I have a Mars TS-600... The Spider Farmer produced more dense buds at 85% power...

Yeah it’s pretty solid. They definitely stepped up their game.
Only channel I'll comment on but for lighting the dli for cannabis from what I've researched max bud appears are 40,000,000 umol per day and 20,000,000 for minimum bud growth (40,000,000 ÷ 60 (seconds) ÷ 60 (minutes) ÷ the hours the light will be on e.g 40,000,000 ÷ 60 ÷ 60 ÷ 12 hours (flowering) is 925 par per second. brand doesn't matter so much just quality components and quality light

No. I’m using the TS3000 and the Bloom Plus BP3000 for flowering.

cool video. I just got a mars FC6500. What an incredibly bright light. fills the 5x5 perfectly. Replacing the HPS for the exact reasons that you mentioned.

I have a mars hydro and was happy with it until I got my first optic led. Don't get me wrong mars hydro makes a good budget light but if you can afford it get a good light like a optic led, gavita pro or hlg it is well worth it

Best light for beginning I’d say is one the cheapest hps set ups with dimable ballest , reason , u can have the best light in the world , 5000 dollar light if such light exists, and if u feeding wrong over feeding or ph off ect it don’t matter what light u got , first u gotta master the feed , and u don’t know if u gonna stick at it or how long u gonna last in the grow game so best investing cheap I’d say to start , and upgrade as u go and learn ,
My point is u can have best light in the world but it won’t help u for shit at end of the day if the feed and grow medium is all off and plant isn’t able to take in the neuts it don’t matter on the light if ph is all off and feeds all off and wrong ,
Well of course this is considering the fact that people know how to grow. 😂
