Nice knife, I like the oiled color. I have a tool similar to that one, It actually gets used a lot more than I thought it would. I think B&B did good this month
Nice knife, I've seen this for around $100 or so. For me, that's too much for a non-locking Kershaw knife, but I get the price as it is USA made. Good video.
Thanks Doc! Interesting choice. I live in S MO. and can have auto knives so I received the Launch 11 in my KOTM and no driver tool. Launch 11 card lists a $193 msrp but it sells for same price as box plus shipping on the big online knife stores. 🤨 both still really good knifes.
i almost jump on this month but glad i hesitated. looks nice but not my thing. may try next month. now im confused because there is another unboxing of the august 2022 knife of the month from them but different kershaw knife. launch 11 auto kershaw.
What looks like they did was substitute this one in states with more restrictive automatic knife laws. Which is actually really cool of them to do. It's a pain in the ass for the company to worry about who lives where and what each state's individual laws are. Here in Pennsylvania they have some weird laws about owning an automatic vs. carrying one. Collecting them as a "curio" vs "concealed weapons". it's stupid and complicated. But Barrel & Blade seems to tried to keep people out of trouble by not shipping the Launch to states with stupid knife laws.
although non-locking knives are not really my style, that is a nice kershaw... i would not be upset getting that knife at all, and that tool seems like a good thing to have around also
Very cool knife, well Done slipjoint that's nice and thin it's what many are looking to carry especially places where locking knives are banned (don't know anywhere in north America where that is the case though) I personally don't mind a slipjoint as it does make a good gent knife, but I do prefer a locking knife in my outdoor or work areas as it is a bit safer. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
i wonder how easy it would be to make a clip for that...maybe a Corby bolt with a clip attached to it....custom of course. Nice knife...most of the value must be the blade steel...
Doc nice looking knife especially oiled but price ah a little dear. And would have been better with locking system. Stuart Palmer Adelaide Sth Australia
You don't have to beat on the shaft, you just have to whack it a few times. 😂😂 As for the knife, never heard of that model, but the fact it's not single hand operable is a turn off for me. Don't like the non-locking design either. The color of the micarta definitely is better oiled this time. It's a nice looking knife though. Being Kershaw, I'm sure the quality is on point.
I'd have a damn near impossible time paying that much for a Kershaw. Now, that knife has good materials ans seems to be built very nicely. If someone else decided to carry that knife, great for them, but it's certainly not for me.
This gets an award for stupidest comment of the year. You know...since I said RIGHT IN THE VIDEO that I haven't gotten this subscription long enough to compare it to another one that I've been getting for nearly two years. Any one who thinks that 3 items speaks for the quality and value of an entire subscription - especially in comparison to another - is either ignorant of how this all works, or kind of special.
That's the day I get to go see the pulmonologist and find out how much permanent lung and airway damage I have from airborne hazards and burnpit exposure during all my deployments. I'll think about you.
I got the Launch 11 in my “envelope”. Knife laws made them do the Federalist and the tool. That’s crazy. C’mon pass common sense knife laws. The Launch 11 was highly over priced on MSRP too. The value really isn’t there in this months envelope.

Nice little knife. The tool is pretty cool as well, never knew Kershaw made those. Thanks Docp

I like the oiled side also

Harbor Freight sells a kit like the mini screwdriver tool kit that has a bunch of small screwdriver bits for under $10.00
i wonder how easy it would be to make a clip for that...maybe a Corby bolt with a clip attached to it....custom of course. Nice knife...most of the value must be the blade steel...
I have a bushcraft knife that has OD green G10 handle scales. Full tang of course
First thing from Kershaw in years that makes my pickle tingle a bit.
is it good for bushcraft and making feathers???
Well...since its such a thin folding blade I wouldn't use it as an outdoors or bushcraft knife. I think I said in the video "light EDC".
Doc nice looking knife especially oiled but price ah a little dear. And would have been better with locking system. Stuart Palmer Adelaide Sth Australia
I literally just checked Blade HQ and they had the Federalist for $84.99

I'd definitely not be mad if I got that

It’s $100 everywhere online. 🤨🤨🤨
is it better than the Onyx of the month? Compare the knives man, try

I’m not seeing $170 here.
Hey Doc remeber my birthday is the 31st wink wink LOL.

@@DocP91B O wow I hope it turns out good for you. I will have the prayer warriors pray for you as well.

That’s a nice knife, just not for me. Good vid.
