After speaking with Sigma in depth they confirmed that the lack of TC support, USB dock, and being limited to 15 fps bursts comes down entirely to their E-mount license agreement with Sony.

Great review, Jeremy! If I ever need a 70-200 f2.8, I will be using the Sigma. However, I perceive the shaft of light from the Sony lens may be shining the way. ✨ 🐫

When you are led to the Sony you have to bring all the gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 😃

appreciate the effort you put into producing such review videos. imho though it seems of very limited value to compare sharpness of top notch lenses by looking at details in an oil painting?
While the Sigma ofc is a very good lens - and much cheaper - the Sony GM II will give you max frame rate / top sharpness / and usage of teleconverters - as you mentioned.
Two more factors: i found the AF of the GM II to be fabulously fast - and very accurate in all kinds of conditions. And keep in mind the Sony weighs a - very noticable - almost 30% less!
