very well Dr.Sahab I am 58+ and my upper B.P often high But no dr is able to suggest medicine to keep balance and my pulse rate also low sometimes according to cardiologist there is nothing serious but medicine voltec5/80 causes low and also weakness sometimes only amlodopine 5mg maintain B.P .Cardiologist himself suggested me not use beta blockers but I am victim of Low-High, High -Low in morning it is low in evening it stars increasing but also automatically drops and sometimes for 2 or 3 days i am compelled to skip dose otherwise it becomes low with low pulse rate and weakness and no time to change reading I am also chronic sufferer of GAD/PAD-tahir

Low BP koi bemari nhi hai 😑 its normal
Should not be less than 90/60 mmhg
Can we take blood pressure in standing position
No we should avoid doing so.
But yes if we are to assess person for orthostatic Hypotension then First we take blood pressure when the person is lying down and then we make the patient stand and after 1 minute of standing we take BP once more and if the difference between the two is more than 20mm Hg in systolic BP then the person is suffering from orthostatic Hypotension.

Had an attack on the very last day of 2021 at the age of 42(4 months ago). Got treatment(angioplasty) in NICVD SUKKUR, LAD and RCA. Taking medicines regularly but for some days fluctuations in BP, almost remains down. Discontinued Valsartan, still no difference.

Dr Afzal, please correct your concept of circumference. In video, you are pointing length of arm as circumference.
Sir I request you to please not confuse waist circumfrence with arm circumfrence.
Both are measured in different ways
First we are to measure the length of upper arm and mark its mid point and
On that mid point we measure the width which we call arm circumfrence
After 1st reading, arteries are pinched. 2nd reading is always lower and therefore not correct

Why systolic bp is important in ppl above 50
Because in those above 50 years of age arteries are stiff so if BP especially systolic stays high they have abrupt increase in it at any time SECONDLY end of their arteries are very weak and may become reason if stroke if BP is not taken care of

Last one month I am on keto diet for weight loss etc.
Several days my blood pressure is coming normal and sometimes low.
Shall I stop medicine of hypertension or no ?

So I start taking half of all of above for one month and then stop suddenly or another way if you guide me.
Mean time I will check me BP twice a day too.

Sir I would advise keh ap apna latest Hb zaroor check kerwain aur aik latest dil ka ultrasound I.e echocardiogram & T4 and TSH bhi kerwa lain to things will be very clear.

جبکہ آٹو مشینیں جو آجکل مارکیٹ میں دستیاب ہیں مختلف برینڈ کی وہ بلڈپریشر کو زیادہ بتاتی ہیں
