Enjoyed the music. But what intrigues me most is paul gilbert as a person. He is the greatest player for me and the dude hadn't a tattoo, sport some weird hair like most guys miles worse than him, he has always has that genial face and always ready to share that beautiful warm smile of his. The guy is weirdly comfortable anywhere. I don't know anything about him but i feel his upbringing makes him so different. The world would have been a lot nicer if we all have parents like his
What drew me as a student to Keith Wyatt 20 years ago is still there. Meanwhile, I just discovered Paul Gilbert, who is amazing. This is the guitar player's version of two guys having a couple beers together. They share that great , easy, tongue in cheek teaching style Wyatt has always had going for him. As many guitar teachers as there is..., Keith Wyatt is the guy for me. Great stuff.
@Salvador Dalí Yes, but the difference is he grew up. There are guys in their 50s (or older) who were a big deal in the 80s who still sport the crazy hair and "rock star" clothes. It's like they want to relive that crap over and over again. Paul's a guitar player and doesn't need the hair or the clothes.
Keith Wyatt-"You can play A minor pentatonic the whole way through" Paul Gilbert-"Thats my plan":D Love them both. Awesome musicians and amazing teachers.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Avi Skylar I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I have to say the UA-cam algorithm brought me here, but I love these videos with Paul! They are also so unassuming, low-key, and fun to watch. Nothing flashy here, just two dudes who LOVE to play!
Gilbert is so at ease, piece of cake cool bluesy vibe and feel. No shredding or string skipping or what not. Great restraint and musical sensibility... and knowing he can uncork a full fretboard 64th note run at the drop of a hat, should the need arise. Monster!
Dudes!!! Thanks too Keith ive basically learned all my basic theory from his books and I'm still studying using his books. A very excellent teacher for beginner to intermediate guitar players. Love the guy and of course Paul is an awesome guitarist!
Impressive!!! Paul sounds like he had been playing the blues since age 3. Don't know if others are out there but this is the best 2 man jam i have seen him involved in. Is style in pkaying the blues is really refreshing and this us coming from a guy that is more into the rock guitar oriented melodic and technical aspect of his playing.
I haven't listened to Paul in years since my tastes have widened from rock to most styles but damned if I don't always come back to watch videos about him.
Wow how did I miss this .... They could have topped it off with a tip of the hat to the Ventures. Right down the alley of 60s instrumentals. Awesome song Keith. Unfortunately Im watching this with no chance of taking mine out of the case & playing along. Maybe later...😉🎸
Makes me feel better seeing Paul not pick up the riff right away! His blues tone is really thick and quick- I know he put out the blues album with his uncle and does more blues based than baroque/ shred based stuff now but I'd love to see him with some blues jam allman bros type groups . Would love to see him with Govt Mule , Allman-Betts or North Mississippi All Stars. He and Luther have a similar vibe( good guys)- would love to see them jam!
That was really nice! Paul as a student - well, he obviously wants to get further than metal and rock, that's for sure ^^ He's always said that he's spend too much time focusing on speed and not on the "flavours" :)
it was amazing i coud bad imrpvisacion because i could not feel good rith but after finish this video somethink heppend suddenly i feel rith and begane much better imrpovise thanks :} this completly changed my rithm feel in bluse
It seems Keith Wyatt have two ways to play the main riff. You can notice at 8:25 and 8:31, he plays open E String and at 8:35 he turns to G (third fret low string), So, what's the real deal ????
Paul just has such joy playing any type of music, metal to blues. That's what makes him great..

First and foremost for Paul is music and enjoyment of.
I think he is just a rather present person and doesn't have a big ego that why he is so nice and chill always
Keith Wyatt-"You can play A minor pentatonic the whole way through"

Keith Wyatt - what a treasure that all GIT alumni tip their hats to; Incredible teacher...and Paul too, of course.
I have to say the UA-cam algorithm brought me here, but I love these videos with Paul! They are also so unassuming, low-key, and fun to watch. Nothing flashy here, just two dudes who LOVE to play!
Never heard of Keith Wyatt before but the man has chops, Im looking him up
I prefer his way to play rock. Not telling that Gilbert is not good, but Wyatt is more subtle.
He was on staff at Musicians Institute when was there....I had him for a whole year.....GREAT teacher and what a monster on Guitar...awesome guy too!!
Yeah, I always liked his first videos… "Check it out" ;-)
Two of the very best personally and professionally! Blessed to have had them both as Instructors and Mentors!
Gilbert is so at ease, piece of cake cool bluesy vibe and feel. No shredding or string skipping or what not. Great restraint and musical sensibility... and knowing he can uncork a full fretboard 64th note run at the drop of a hat, should the need arise. Monster!
That was a joy to watch. Thanks men.
Hats off to Keith and Paul for keeping it organic, informative and ever so sleazy. Thanks guys.
paul gilbert is a great student
And teacher, Just a great dude from what I've seen. Id Love to know him in real life! Seems like such a sweet and down to earth dude!
@@johnnyinterval he is. I can testify. He is a musician..not a rockstar. Thats the thing. Way too down to earth.
they're booth are teacher
Dudes!!! Thanks too Keith ive basically learned all my basic theory from his books and I'm still studying using his books. A very excellent teacher for beginner to intermediate guitar players. Love the guy and of course Paul is an awesome guitarist!
Monster players...yet they approach the blues with such respect and humility. I need to pick up my guitar!!!!!
Yep no egos, just 2 good guitarists jamming.
What an awesome jam
Still love the article you wrote titled "G Whiz". Thank you so much Keith Wyatt. It changed my world as a Guitarist.
Paul Gilbert such a down to earth cheerful guy.
I remember Keith from the guitar magazine, but I just love Paul.
Getting up in the morning. Seeing this video. Feeling my life is fine 🙂
So cool to see Paul learn something ;) Amazing jam, great tele tone and walking bass lines!
I haven't listened to Paul in years since my tastes have widened from rock to most styles but damned if I don't always come back to watch videos about him.
This is exactly the guitar changes & even inflections. How did they hear whats in my head??? lol Thanks, gentlemen, for everything, you.
This is totally awesome. Love it!
Man, Keith! Class act!!!
Paul. I love your innovative approach to guitar. Les would be proud...💚
Paul's rhythm playing on this is amazing, so tight.
I find Keith a lot more dynamic and rythmic aswell as interesting to watch
I thought Kieth was tighter, but then again he wrote it and gave Paul all of about 5 seconds to catch on.
keith is way better on this one
That was one helluva jam!! Great job, guys!! Sounded incredible!!
Two masters, this is amazing!
REALLY F..KING GOOD ......!!!!! lots of fun, made my day watching......!!!!!!!!
G.I.T. reunion, two of my favorite teachers in 1988.
Hey, I was there in 1986! Keith, Danny, Steve, Chaz. What an amazing group of teachers we got to learn from!
If I’m not mistaken Keith also directed/produced Paul’s first Intense Rock video.
That tele sounds amazing!
PG, great player, great person.
so is keith
Now that was a shed load of fun to watch!!
Keith is the greatest player of our time! Happy New Years and Cheers man!!!
Some talent to be able to jam away like that. Brilliant stuff
Not sure how I missed this video for so long...what an improv! This is a fun jam.
Gentlemen, that made my night. Sublime guitar playing.

bruh that was probably the best jam i've seen. i need to watch more jams yes - but im certain this is great
Simply excellent!!!
I like the fact that PG is collaborating with jazz, blues players and exploring things that he never know....
Paul is a humble, classy, master!
Wow how did I miss this ....
They could have topped it off with a tip of the hat to the Ventures. Right down the alley of 60s instrumentals. Awesome song Keith. Unfortunately Im watching this with no chance of taking mine out of the case & playing along. Maybe later...😉🎸
This was fun to watch.

Wow....wow...wow...!!!
Unbelieveable ! Amazing ..! Greetings from Indonesia ... 🙏🏻🇲🇨👍🏼
Looks like so much fun to be able to improvise on that level.
Outstanding performance !! 👍
i love it when my some of my fave instructors from g.i.t. jam together the universal language.
damm!!!, i need to practice at least 100 years more to get close to these guys!!!! these was awesome!!!!!
Music is the best form of education on this planet sound goes right to the core
That was about the coolest fucking thing I’ve watched all year!!
I had the pleasure of having both of these cats as teachers at M.I. ....wow... great to see them here jammin' together!
hello keith, i was at GIt in 84. took a liking to ur teaching. love ur tone. you said you had an uncle Jesse?
Just when you think you're getting pretty good at guitar, listen to these two talk and jam. =)
Mad respect to anyone in the position of giving a guitar lesson to Paul Gilbert, haha. o7
Per questo amo la musica per sentire gente così suonare divinamente la chitarra🎸🎸
Makes me feel better seeing Paul not pick up the riff right away! Probably the best 9 minutes of my life
These are like mini guitar lesson series but more effective than the regular ones
fuck yeah Keith Wyatt. As an MI grad fuck yeah to both of these guys.
That was really nice! Paul as a student - well, he obviously wants to get further than metal and rock, that's for sure ^^ He's always said that he's spend too much time focusing on speed and not on the "flavours" :)
Keith Wyatt is truly a blues master.
What an awesome blues jam!!! Really bringing back the soulfulness of Buddy Guy and Hendrix
Keith Wyatt has some seasoned chops 👌
really love this
nothing short of AMAZING!!!
This is great stuff! What guitar is Gilbert playing?
am i the only one who smile watching this video? paul is an awesome guy!
I need four more lives to play like them
I didn't know Geoffrey Rush jammed the blues!
he does looks like Geoffrey Rush .. haha 😄
That was a lot of fun.
These both are wonderfull an faaaaantastic.
So much to learn.........for me! :)
That was awesome to watch!!!!!!!!
"You have to try and struggle through with the pick" I hope Keith knows who he's talking to here ahaha
Paul Gilbert and Steve Lukather are like two of the most versatile players I have ever watched. Doesn't matter if it's blues or what.
it was amazing i coud bad imrpvisacion because i could not feel good rith but after finish this video somethink heppend suddenly i feel rith and begane much better imrpovise thanks :} this completly changed my rithm feel in bluse
That was awesome !!
luv that telecaster!
Digging Paul's Ibanez 335!!
awesome jam
Keith, is that the same Tele from Rocking' the Blues with a black guard on it?
2 legends right there
Seeing Paul Gilbert struggle mildly with a simple blues lick is the best thing that happened to me today.
That wasn't a "struggle". Come on. :P
It seems Keith Wyatt have two ways to play the main riff. You can notice at 8:25 and 8:31, he plays open E String and at 8:35 he turns to G (third fret low string), So, what's the real deal ????
That’s a 1978 Ibanez Paul is playing. They only made that model for one year and ceased production after a Gibson lawsuit.
Great Jam Blues,
Just brilliant
Can this be 3 hours longer please?
This is just sick.... it’s so amazing good
