Your visit brought back memories of my son and my mom and I visiting there in 2019. I’m curious though if the museum is open and if you went inside again?

I remember your video. 👍The museum is open but you have to make an appointment and at the time I did have time to make one. I have been through it a couple of times. Very moving.

A very insightful video, although I was 19 years old at the time. I often looked at 1968 as one of the years where My eyes were opened from a farm boy to an adult. This murder, RFK’s senseless death and joining the U.S. Navy impacted me greatly.

Thank you. This video was important to make as you said it was an important time in history. The Navy will always be a major impact on me as well.

That was excellent! I am so glad Martin Luther King lived. HIs life and words touched so many and accomplished far more than he ever knew. We need more men like him.

I have a bit of a hearing problem, so maybe I misunderstood your last couple statements. I believe I heard you say, "his assassination has caused him to grew in infamy and his dream to grow in infamy." If that's the case, you may want to double-check the definition of the word infamy. I'm not picking on you, it just sounded weird to me..
Otherwise, great video, I didn't know he almost didn't give the speech because of inclement weather. The other thing that surprised me was it took an hour to get King to a hospital that was maybe 10 minutes away.

I believe I said popularity. That after he died his character grew in popularity and his dream grew exponentially. But I will check as I have misused the word infamy before and that is not the message I was trying to covey. Thank you for watching and I always appreciate the feedback.

He wished he could have been there. It was such a whirlwind trip. I filmed all Emmett Till, this video, the historical marker video and Graceland in 3 days.

Anyone who believes Ray didn't do it needs to read Gerald Posner's book, Killing the Dream. Forensically, it's brilliant. Was there a conspiracy in terms of money? Posner doubts it, but acknowledges the possibility. But any question that Ray may not have pressed the trigger vanishes as you follow Posner's careful, methodical work.
There is a much more poetic account, Hellhound on His Trail, by Hampton Sides, which essentially dismisses any conspiracy more complex than holdups pulled by Ray and his brothers.

Yes, the funding that Ray had is another question. Thank you for posting. I will read one of those books.
