    Never heard of this make before. I walked into a running shop today and told them I think I may over pronate when running. I’m new to running as well so I didn’t have a clue. Got on the treadmill to get assessed, and the dude said and showed me how bad my ankles were! (I’ve been running in NB 1080v10) he went and got these for me to go on the treadmill and straight away I was amazed at how much more stable I felt! Sure enough the video showed within seconds my ankles were running straight! Absolutely crazy how the correct show can make all the difference! I haven’t actually properly used them yet, but I’m supper excited as it’s been a good 18 months to actually work out what shoe I need after wasting money on shoes that look good but end up feeling rubbish for me. I’m also same height as you and weight so it’s been tricky. Great video.

    Agree that durability is the big selling point on the Inspires. I put about 1000kms on my first pair, and then got about 700kms on my current pair (16s) and they're still fine for easy days or sometimes I go with them for non-technical trails if I don't need a full on trail shoe.

    Unfortunately I got a decent stress fracture of my fibula ( all the way through ) because the overpronation correction was too much for my ankles and made them slightly supinate, I kept running without being aware of this and ended up in a cast. Got these shoes fitted at a runner centre they told me these were the best ones for my overpronation. But guess not! No running for 3 months now. The sports doctor told me the best way to treat overpronation is start with a neutral running shoe and get these support soles made by a podiatrist to fit the precise angle you oversupinate at. Don't end up like me regretting buying these.

    I find these inspire 17 really well done! Why do I find them very stable and well cushioned thanks to the new Enerzy technology ! In fact the I have already tried them on the advice of my trusted dealer, and I must say that they impressed me a lot, thanks to the excellent immediate understanding with my feet! And thanks for your always TOP reviews.

    I also bought these Inspire 17 along with the Horizon 5 !!! Because in this way, my trusted shopkeeper was able to give me a nice discount by buying them together. What can I say of these shoes? Which are a real jam on your feet! I wear them and I don't want to take them off anymore. Because I like them a mess! I highly recommend them if anyone still has doubts ...because they are fantastic!

    Nice review, just got the 17s I have gone through these wave inspires from 14 up to now 17, have done over 1500km and 3/4 marathons in each pair.
    Like you they still look fine afterwards and can be used for long walks etc. except for my 16s in which there is a toe hole in each from my big toes!
    I think the mesh was a little too light. Hope I don't have the same problem with these 17s, looking forward to breaking them in today.

    • @motivationtheoryrunning

      Do you actually need a support shoe? The 17 is a support shoe to help with over pronation. If you have a neutral foot strike you may like the Wave Rider 24 or the Horizon 4 or 5.

    • @motivationtheoryrunning
      @motivationtheoryrunning  3 роки тому +1

      Well in the 17 they have removed that split shank just like they did in the adrenaline 4, the sky 4, Horizon 4,and the Rider 24 to add more ground contact, but it’s not something that you feel too much, but I run in all of them so I could be used to it. Now for how long it lasts, I think that has a lot to do with the, weight, foot strike, and gate of the runner how much they rotate their shoes(running in multiple pairs), there’s a lot of factors there but typically I can get 300 to 350 if I’m rotating two or three pairs before my knees start to hurt running in them
