Bordon boots are outstanding. I've appreciated them for a while - even more since they started doing custom L/R sizing for me. They're now doing different heel styles as well as the option for structured or unstructured toes. The Wanes pattern is probably my favorite of the three they offer. Their last works great for my feet and I like the greater-than-most arch support. Do cut a pair in half. That'd be informative. Oh, and pronounced "Bore-don'" accent on the second syllable and "Wah'-nes" - as I recall, the name of an indigenous group in Colombia.

Great video! Very happy to hear you're not cutting these in half and would be very interested in seeing a 6-month review of how these have been holding up.
That heel stack is sick!!!! I love your vids, especially the long form, in depth reviews. Do NOT cut these in half! I wanna see how these wear, tho I know you only got two feet and tons of boots to review... but these are some of the sickest boots I have ever seen on this channel.
Outstanding boots! I love Bordon, I have the Tukano V2 in W&C Chestnut. Absolutely perfect! Very comparable to any of the big PNW brands, but at a half of the price. Andres and Natalia are killing it! Bravo muchachos!!
Wearing them on carpet brand new will give you the wrong impression about how slippery they are. Walk a few miles in them and get that leather all roughed up, they will be surprisingly grippy.
Great boots and love the background you give. If you can add any maintenance you do when you get a boot like to rehydrate the leather, adding kilties and laces that could provide even more aesthetic options I think.

I've been waiting for my Wanes since ordering them a year ago, to this day, last September. They are suppose to ship next month. Honest, I'm very exited...but also a little nervous about the sizing. I sure hope they fit because they're beautifully constructed boots, no doubt.
Wow, over a year? Scary stuff, glad I have mine on order since March, I still won't see them until next year it appears, If these guys don't get some help and the ability to scale up their production while maintaining quality standards I can see things not ending well. These are beautiful boots, but they aren't Unsungs or Nail Shanks that are being made by a single person. I don't think anyway....
I ordered in March from the same lot, I don't expect to see them until sometime in 2025. Which sucks, since I live in the Southeast and we have a very short boot and jeans season that may be missed completely.
For the same price I paid for my Wolverine 1000 Mile boots (only the anniversary edition available in leprechaun size) I would have much preferred these! I've been looking at Bordon for a bit now, but hesitant because their EU to US sizing seems off (at least at leprechaun sizes). It was great to see this video with the EU size you chose. It was especially helpful given your other PNW videos that discuss size, with your foot and lady ankles being a common thread to compare. Plus these boots are absolutely stunning and a front runner for my next office boot.
The stitchdown stitching is craaazy clean. So beautiful. I really hope you don't cut these in half, instead show us how they look in a few months. They are soo stunning, and they remind me of Grant Stone's natural Kangaroo boots.
Never thought I'd like that look until I saw My wife's boots from Nisolo in almond while I got a black pair. Both looked great out of the box, but hers have developed a very unique patina that makes me consider a natural color for my next pair. Would appreciate seeing if yours develop that too!
Beautiful boots... I wish vegetable tanned leather was slightly more common in all sorts of goods. I just bumped into your channel, and it seems like I'm very glad I did haha
Bordon is an amazing boot brand and value. Andreas is a hell of a craftsmen and you get a lot of boot for the money. There is a lead time and theres no way to get around it but it is 100% worth it. Love the Tukano love the Wanes love Bordon

Great video! I like them long, rambling and nerdy. :) Expecting delivery of my own pair of Bordon's any week now. Speaking of price, Bordon had free international shipping. Nicks charge 80 dollars. That makes the price difference even larger.
You may have to write to ask if that suede is coming back. I got a Rames order in for the april batch, but the current batch they have open has trench and rames listed as no longer available.
These Bordons...are the REAL deal. For the price...these boots are amazing. Any Pacific Northwest Boots company...would charge $700 to $800 for these...maybe even $900.
I will stick with my Thursday Captain boots, I got them following a review from you, had them 2 years now, I wear them practically everyday, and they are so comfortable and wearing very well. I want to get a second set of there Moto bots.
I'm on the fence about whether or not to pick up a pair of Captains for myself. I sort of like the look, and they can serve as a dress boot, but I'm just not sure. What do you think of them? How have they served you? Are they worth the money? How do they break in?
It looks like he added a rubber slip sole, in order to make resoling less complex. This also absorbs impact a little better than just solid leather soles.
Thankful I went ahead and ordered 2 pair already from this batch (The W&C Natural Harness was introduced in the March/April '24 ordering window.) Wait times for non-influencers are running longer than Nick's, 8-12 months at last check. The problem with videos like this is that Weston did no background on the company and fails to mention the lengthy wait times in his video. There's always a catch, these boots are an incredible value and very well made, but the trade off is a very lengthy wait to get them in hand. As they say, there's never a free lunch.
@@BWM135excellent point. I'm at 11 months, and anticipate at this point that it could easily surpass a year. The big concern with this is that there is no way to try on the boots, and then what is the lead time to get a replacement if they don't fit or there is a construction issue? Their pricing has also been creeping up (non issue for me, most companies have to or do it anyway) so the value proposition is also reducing. Hoping that they can get some labor assistance and start to cut the lead time down some. 1 year is a lot, but I've heard of longer wait times from some of the Indonesian boot makers.
@@mickeyduvelI feel you all on the price hike, they've gone from $350 to $409 over the past 15 months. Then again, I can't think of a major brand that hasn't had at least some price hike in that time. Truman Waxed Flesh boots are now $500. Even Grant Stone had a $40 or so price hike recently. They also have options that weren't available a year ago like the all leather soles here, and the Vibram half soles. Nick's boots, for example, tacks on a $30 upcharge if you want an all leather sole on an MTO boot. Also keep in mind their pricing includes both shipping AND tax. And you can always save $30 by going with one of their house leather options. It's probably from LeFarc Tannery in Mexico or somewhere like that, but I've heard the quality of it is good if not remarkable. So your base price it's actually 379. The sizing issue is actually my biggest disappointment of this whole video. If he's going to keep the boots that's his right, but at least give us some idea about how they fit compared to other well-known models instead of whining that you have so many boots to break in that you can't get to them all. I mean Jesus Christ... I'm also worried about size since I have two pairs on order (A Save the Ocean Wanes in the Stead Stone Mohawk, and a Tukano in Chestnut Latigo). And I have heard some people saying that Bordons are running a bit small. That's scary, since arguably it's easier to deal with a boot that's a bit big with insoles, kill ties, and thicker socks. As far as replacements go, I expect it's like Nick's or any similar maker, where replacements go to the front of the line to be remade ASAP. From what I know about Andres and Natalia I certainly don't think they would make anyone go through that lengthy wait a second time over a sizing issue. As far as timing and expense, they can't be any worse than truman, who makes you go through a full return, wait nearly a month for a refund, then let's you order your replacement. This is after you've spent the money to return the boots to them, and then spent another $30 on top of that to pay for their restocking fee. So basically if you have a sizing issue you have to not only pay to send them their boots back, but reimburse them for the cost of their original shipping to you. This for a well finished but pretty basic bitch GYW boot that has nowhere near the amount of hand work on it as these boots here. Just my quick counterpoint, you fellas take it easy! 🍺
Indeed, influencers are terrible about making this point since they're getting whatever they've requested in 3 - 5 months. This natural harness was introduced in the March and April ordering window. So even if Weston ordered, I mean requested these boots on the first day of that window, which is highly unlikely, his personal wait time is about half that of a regular customer. From what I've heard influencers are getting their product in about 4 months, not realizing there are customers in year 2 of their wait to get their boots in hand...
@@YouCanChangeYourWorldToday Last pair took about 10 months from order placement to receipt. Given the quality and low cost, the wait didn't bother me in the least.
Yeah, me too. I sort of lost interest in the main channel because it started putting out so many videos about sneakers, big brands, shenanigans. I care about heritage leather goods and traditional construction, that's why I got into RA.
Love my Bordon V1 Tukano boots in the waxed suede along with my Rose Anvil kilties. These are the nicest boots I’ve had so far in my 2 year heritage/quality footwear journey. They’ve constantly shown improvement based on customer feedback and given more compelling reason to consider buying from them again between the heal options, variety of leathers, and continuously improving construction quality. It was also a cool touch getting emails with photos each time my boots were in a different stage of being built in their MTO batch. Even if the pics were stock instead of my specific boots, I really appreciate their focus on the long distance customer experience.
Man if that Bloodcore Drifter boot is on a 55 last or other high arch last, I might have to get a pair. Sick looking boots. Also same thing with Bordon: if they make any high arch lasts I will be a customer of theirs soon. Its frustrating how rare high arch boots are. I have a pair of Franks that fixed my foot pain issues.
Another very good traditionally made brand from Colombia is Beckett & Simonon, they’re more on the dressy side and more shoe oriented, but they’re awesome for the price!
Very nice looking boots I like the au naturel veg-tan leather, the heel is not so much "cowboyed" which is good for me. That mentioned I would like to know what is the beige layer in the mid sole, so I'm afraid I'm gonna ask you to order another pair to cut them in half
Am from Colombia and I would love a cut in half follow up really like them too but I would love to see your view on the quality of them when you do decide to cut them. Want to see that before I pull the trigger on them. Thanks.
Those Borden’s are sweet. Would dig a long term review and looking forward to the Truman’s as well! When will we see the likes of Meermin and/or John Lofgren on here. A series of best quality budget shoes/boots and high end boots maybe??
I'd love to see these after 6 months of wear. I honestly wouldn't mind getting a pair for $410 if I wasn't broke as hell now. That's a really good price for a boot on par with a Grant Stone. I definitely don't need more jeans, but its a temptation i struggle with, so I should grow my boot collection. I only have 2 nice pairs of casual boots. One pair is a more natural looking leather, but I don't think it is vegtan. They are from Beckett Simonon, so probably not. The other ones are Grant Stone Diesel in Earth, waxed flesh rough out. I do want a nice shiny chromexcel boot, but I also want a pair of these.
Hope you have another pair to cut apart. I’ve been interested in the brand and ordered a pair. I’ve seen other reviews but nothing as in-depth as a rose anvil review

Yeah and increased the price from 350.00 to 409.00.
Those are very nice looking boots!
I have been waiting for an order placed in November. Be prepared to wait.
Bordon makes some really really really nice boots...especially for the price. Own two pairs and love them both. Still breaking in the second pair...
How long is the delivery time??
@@YouCanChangeYourWorldToday Last pair took about 10 months from order placement to receipt. Given the quality and low cost, the wait didn't bother me in the least.
I enjoy these unboxing videos. At this point I watch more RA 2 videos than main channel ❤
Yeah, me too. I sort of lost interest in the main channel because it started putting out so many videos about sneakers, big brands, shenanigans. I care about heritage leather goods and traditional construction, that's why I got into RA.
Great boots, please do the update especially to show how the soles have broken in. Thanks
I thought I was gonna order a pair of these next year sometime, but I guess not now the backlog on these I can only imagine where that’s gonna go
Great video👌🏾👍🏾🤩 and beautiful boots ❤😍 for sure please do a 6 month review and keep your pair!!! You like them - request a new pair to cut up 😂
Love my Bordon V1 Tukano boots in the waxed suede along with my Rose Anvil kilties.
Love them, don't cut them in half...we all know those are quality boots.
I like the look snd style. I like all the leather and natural materials used. Only thing i would have is a half rubber outsole for the grip
I like when you find these small companies. Make their waitlist 2 years out
Funny I've move to Colombia a lot of years ago and never heard of that brand. Boot lover here
Another very good traditionally made brand from Colombia is Beckett & Simonon, they’re more on the dressy side and more shoe oriented, but they’re awesome for the price!
Amazing boots. Let's see that sweet patina 6 months from now!
Very nice looking boots I like the au naturel veg-tan leather, the heel is not so much "cowboyed" which is good for me. That mentioned I would like to know what is the beige layer in the mid sole, so I'm afraid I'm gonna ask you to order another pair to cut them in half
It’s nice to see a pair with a true thick leather sole.
Hi Weston, will you be cutting the new Thursday challenger boots soon?
Hey, those are my size. I'll totally finish wearing them in for you if you don't have the time.😊
Hope you have another pair to cut apart. I’ve been interested in the brand and ordered a pair. I’ve seen other reviews but nothing as in-depth as a rose anvil review
