      Lol she’s an idiot to say that. Number of atoms in the universe 10 ^ 86 number of possible chess games 10 ^ 122 yeah all the information is right there in front of you if you can calculate a billion moves every nanosecond

    I have a hard time understanding the concept she is explaining here. Why is it okay to give a free card in one position but not the other?

    • @Arifd86
      @Arifd86 7 років тому +1

      I think this is due to a concept known as 'fold equity'.
      She is assuming he is the preflop raiser, you are in position, so after the flop he is going to make a standard continuation bet. You can C-bet with almost any hand. Because of this, your raise is going to signal to him that you are strong, and he will likely fold. However, if he doesn't C-bet, he could be trapping you, he knows you are thinking like this, thus you would rather see the next card and actually be strong, because his check signaled strength.
      Now, if you are first to act, you want to check/call, because an extra card favors you. You have no information about his strength yet and if you check, he might also check back thinking you are trapping. However, if you bet, he might raise you. He's not calling with a weaker hand than yours, and likely not folding with a better hand

    Chess is an easier game than poker? She probably has never played chess lol

      Chris Wilson no way. chess is way simpler than poker. not saying it's easier, it's simpler. maybe you dont understand the difference between "easy" and "simple." the only element in chess is whether you can anticipate and plan more moves than your oponent. that's why even the world's best chess players can't beat a computer. this is also why chess is a game of 100% skill, 0% luck.
      Poker there is gambling, lying, controlling emotions, reading emotions, on top of the elements in chess like anticipating moves. plus you have to calculate all sorts of odds (betting odds, odds of cards coming up etc.) there's more elements I'm not even listing.
      Poker has more dynamics hands down.
      (that doesn't mean it requires more skill to play poker than chess)

      27steve27ful I read what you said, so you saying chess is simpler but poker is more complex?

      27steve27ful alright good..let talk about this...what i am asking you is overall whether its simpler or easier what is easier to win at? And the answer is Poker. Period.

      Then you clearly didn't understand any of it. This, along with the first part, contain loads of top-notch insights.
      And Annie, in addition to being a poker legend - you are a natural teacher. Thank you!

      @@jackominty3633 A poker legend? Lmao Shes not even good. I've seen her get destroyed so many times when she plays actual good players. If you thought it was insightful you are probably a beginner and don't know much. There's a reason her and her brother were shunned from the poker community. Scamming people out of money. You need to get educated.

      @@jackominty3633 Annie Duke the lying snake who rips off unsuspecting people. Do some research lol You honestly sound like a complete fish who literally knows nothing about the game. Only a clueless donk would ever be a fan of that woman. You act like she's a popular celebrity lol she played on TV like 20 years ago, you need to catch up on the times. You asserting I have no deep insights doesnt actually make it true, you know that right? If you think this is deep then your brain would melt when actually studying in depth complex concepts. Just stop embarrassing yourself lol You're blindly supporting a thief and a liar. You're not even a real player I can tell just by how you talk. You probably watch old Poker After Dark episodes and play for free on Zynga. If you sat down at a table and played me I would take every cent you have in the world. Anything else? This is quite amusing.
