EXTENSION OF PROBATION PERIOD : What SHOULD be DONE by the Employee?

    Question: I was extended on probation and yet they want to reduce my salary and I was not properly trained... What can I do?

      The probation usually can’t be extended for more than 3 months.
      What are the reasons for Salary reduction?
      Are they doing a periodic review of your probation?
      They need to explain why your probation is extended.

    Hi I’m in a predicament whereby I have joined a new company and worked very hard however they extended my probabtion by 3 months due to ‘quality and performance’ . However I was one of only a few who were ‘multi skilled’ so when I had my first month in this other sector I was obviously not going to be an expert. Now my work colleague who was also multiskilled with me he was under another manager , he had many absences , fails in quality and performance not great as well but his manager passed him. When I bought This up to my manager she said ‘I don’t know what other managers do but I did what’s right ‘ she keeps telling me not to worry but I don’t trust her because she screwed me over for no reason. What can I do? Is it worth doing a grievance or complaint to HR? Or should I just try to pass this period? She said I shouldn’t worry but u know any little slip up and they can dismiss me. Please help sister

    My probation period is extended by 1 month.can it be extended another month by the management?

    Hi, my probation period extended for 1 month. I have left 13 days to end my probation period still I don't see any positive feedback from my manger. In this case after my probation will they kick me out immediately?? However there is a policy in my offer letter that states after completion of probation period there should be 1 month notice either employee or employer. So what situations may come that i have to face? And what is the best way to respond? Please suggest me on this.

    Hello Nancy, how r u ? I joined in an organization from renew program past 6 months..I don't know what happened my manager is not allocating any projects to me and he extended my probation too again 3months.I asked my manager many times about projects & the reason for probation extension..he is saying like we don't have any projects (eventhough we are getting so many new) , u just watch whats going he is saying..he is not saying the reason for probation extension ..what to do .im in full confusion with this situation..please give me suggestion to come out of this problem..

    Mam my probation period was 1 year and it got extended to 6 months can I resign the company as it is already 3 months

    Hi mam, i have joined 5th april of 2023, but I'm not satisfied with the company for past 1.5 months and in my offer thery mentioned probation period is 1 month notice period upto 6 months, so if i put a paper my notice period is 1 month or 3 month (common).? Please share your thoughts clearly mam.

      If notice period is 1 month, then the company forced me to serve the 3 months. Then what we do????

      Hi Bharath
      If I understand correctly your Probation is 1 months and your notice is up-to 6 months. You can simply decide to leave the company by smartly handing over your tasks over an email after resignation saying an emergency situation and leaving any company equipment/ documents in the office. Hope this solution works for you.

      Don’t get into notice period if you don’t need anything from the company and remove this experience from your cv.

      Hello mam I joined in company on July 28th 2022 since that my manager didn't gave any work and he didn't onboarded me into any project two days back when my prohibition period is getting completed and time to get appraisal my manager gave rating like u r not meeting the expectation so u r prohibition period is extended . There will be any problem for me due to this
