Bruce is the best teacher to learn these tunes. I saw DD 5 times in concert and he always started out his show's with this tune, an absolute masterpiece. Thanks for sharing this Bruce.
WOW! Thank you so much for this! Now I'll be able to play one of my all-time favorite songs. This is just beyond awesome, and so are you! Thanks again. Take care.
Where do you get that lovely 60s tone from ? The strings are they flat wounds? The guitar, that's an Fender American Vintage? How about the amp? any tremeloe?
I couldn't find any backing tracks. If time permits, I'll be doing a full cover of this instrumental with my own backing track which I'll make available for download.
Hey! I'm trying to learn this song, but I think I've got a little problem. I can play a bit faster than your slow speed without any mistakes but as I speed up my sound loses some clarity. (while your's sounds clear and distinctly) I wonder if you have any ideas how to solve this problem.
+ЯaccoonAttack! Maybe your picking and freting are not synced up. Try recording yourself at a faster tempo and play back at a slower speed. Also, memorize a few measures on your fret hand and look down at your pick hand while playing. If it's moving all around, try keeping it under control by keeping it in one spot that's comfortable.

Awesome video! Awesome sound! So delighted to see a Jaguar! Too many Strats out there. Good to be a bit different.
Hi Bruce! Could you do a lesson on Dick Dale's King of the Surf Guitar? Thanks for all your great lessons!

Great lesson. Like your guitar. Do you have flatwound strings on that guitar?

No flat wound strings.
Thank you
I need nitro backing track. Can you help me ?
I like how Dick Dale influenced so many greats, especially Jimi Hendrix. Dale was a rhythmical genius.
