I just had my 80th Birthday and my dear friend surprised me with my favorite Birthday cake. Brought back so many many sweet memories of Birthday,'s from the past to the present. Ms Mae Mae. OMG!!!! WOW!! ❤❤❤ I am a seasoned cook and bake often but this is one of the best homemade pound cakes I have eaten!!! As they say U PUT YOUR FOOT IN IT. Only thing I did different was I used orange extract instead because I didn't have pineapple extract which brought out the flavor of the pineapple juice just as good😊

Because that's how my aunts, my mom,and I have learned. Even now many times when I try to 'go by the recipe' it doesn't go vert well. So I watch to get an idea of how to make it, without following the 'recipe' and most times it's great. Maybe it like you said my brain just doesn't work like a recipe followers works. I'm planning to make this as soon as I can find the pineapple flavoring. Walmart didn't have it and amazon is kind of pricey but I'll do what's necessary.
