The best thing is it doesn't have the emergency braking and the lane keep assist crap.
@@kipaama298 I have them on my pick up truck and they are anything but safe.
My pick up truck skids to a stop when I am driving close to tall grass that is blowing in the wind, its bloody dangerous.
we had a bird fly across the road and our work jeep cherokee almost killed us by stopping very quickly with a car behind us
Thing is scorpio is still 5star global ncap vehicle. Mean chassis is definitely built better
This is nice, I will consider it especially cos it doesn’t have any of the ‘assists’
Exactly what I was thinking. Second row captains chairs is pretty cool for the family of four.
Disappointed in the mainstream motoring journalists at Drive and Carsales who harp on about safety kit such as lane keeping. Ive managed without it for four decades but then I don't drive while looking at my phone or playing with a touchscreen.
Waiting eagerly for the XUV 700 price release . Very happy with my 4 year old XUV 500.
Me too.
you are in for sweeet surprise then, that thing (XUV 700) is a beast of car. with ADAS features and a new petrol engine the Torque is great and transmission is smooothhhh
Major upgrade. You'll love it.
Everybody comparing scorpio to fortuner but mahindra actually has Alturas G4 a.k.a Rexton which is the exact compitor of everest, fortuner, mux..etc..
Yeah They would launch that version
Mahindra is a proper mainstay in India. Especially rural India where roads are non existent more or less.. Thoroughly solid, reliable and tough. They have been making jeeps under license from 1947 onwards. So their 4x4 DNA is up there with the best of them. Speaking as a person who has owned multiple Mahindra vehicles over the years and indeed own one now as we speak too.
Good explanation
Guys that's bolero not Scorpio Mahindra bolero is the most rugged suv the world
This is no longer true for the most part:"Rural India where roads are non-existent more or less:" It's far from the truth!
@@BlackHawkTejas it's still true
@@mhvr8508 It ain't!!
Apart from some missing safety gear, & some missing connectivity features, it's a pretty good vehicle & way better than any chinese offering
explains why no one is actually buying indian trash plus the fact mahindra is paying every reviewer to review their ugly pos. It's a fkn joke.
Interesting content
I'm getting to quietly like the mahindrah 👍
Thanks for sharing
This car is really a great looking car, the black profile of this cars resembles with the volvo...
No it doesnt you muppet.
Designed by Pininfarina
If this can be sold here, why can’t l buy any other brand with no driver aid garbage? Serious question.
Offroading teaches us valuable lessons about patience, problem-solving, and resilience.
Great review format.
So Mahindra has plenty of stock at the dealers in Australia, whereas in India, we are waiting for a year. Interesting. They already have a seven seater version and a diesel version, but guess not being shipped to Australia yet. And for people who depend on auto braking and lane keep assist and what not.... learn to drive.
They want US default dollar like Chinese ,the main reason.
u dont see that much of mahindra in australia....
@@PAPA.PARDESI now that India is the 4th largest car manufacturer in the world, expect to see some decent indian cars on Australian roads.
@@prashantprakash3172 quite possible since FTA is signed....
Noiceee mate 🧉
When are you guys going to show the Ranger that you're modifying?
Mahindra is facing a problem with Australian dealers. They are not going to sell a car that is vastly cheaper than others. Where is the profit for them? I remember Mahindra trying to get a foothold in the Australian market some years ago. They did not succeed. Money is the name of the game!
Thanks for the review. Do you recommend any dashcam for this car(rear n front)?
The dash cam is built in. Just insert an SD card.
@vmrdy do you mean built-in Scorpio N?
@@nyg4090 Yeah.
@vmrdy ok. Do you own this car? In India? I might have missed this feature when I saw the videos of reviews.
@@nyg4090 It’s in the brochure.
Everything I’ve driven with drivers aids, I turn them off. It seams most others do as the system cannot decipher the difference between all the different road lines and having a car beep at you every 30 seconds is a distraction and a danger in itself.
Funny how a lot of people back in India are literally buying 2wd fortuner for 70k and the scorpio N is overlooked.
More to do with the prestige. The Fortuner costs like 40% more than the Mahindra. Only very rich people or politicians can afford a fortuner.
Waiting for the safety tech , will definitely buy once it has it
Brother tanks donot come with those safety active assistance tech. It has enough safety features built like a tank 5 star gncap. Those tech r for pussy
How about road safety and ANCAP ?
5 star Euro Acap
Leatherette would be vinyl, I take it.
Auto rear dock is weird? Just give 4wders a manual one?!
Well it was something that detects the difference in rpm of both side of differential. And after some difference in rpm. The differential is locked mechanically.
On a lighter vein Scorpio is a very popular car in many Indian movie fight sequences when the villains bring an army of them to fight the hero. But it is not lighter for the cars though, they get banged, thrown up and destroyed in those stunt attempts. !😊
Can anyone tell me any World famous Australian car brand name
Tata and Mahindra bot are best companies
If only......
This would be a great vehicle if it had a manual transmission. As it is, it is only another suv in a crowded market.
I heard that diesel car is going to ban in India in 2027,is that true.
Suggested by the advisory committee to MOTH. Unlikely that ministry will give a go ahead
Looks a little plain. Interior looks pretty good though.
The Thar, an off-roader should be sold in Australia
If it had a rear bench, a platform on the dash for my statuette of Ganesh and there were more metro dealers in Vic I’d take a look. As it stands, no.
A version with a rear bench is coming soon. No car comes with Ganesh murti from the factory. More dealers are coming soon as Mahindra releases the XUV 700.
@@VMRDY Good to know
I hope ARB has a great big fucking bull bar for it just to hide THAT badge.... lol
What’s wrong with the badge? Looks pretty good in all honesty.
They gave that new batch for guys like you lol
Keep all the assist stuff out of it
fancy paying all that money. with expensive servicing for a genuine four seater suv. other bargians out there.. a 3 year old prado sounds like a bargain
My Mahindra Scorpio N (5 months old) has just been towed into Centurion Service Centre. It died on the Highway. Roadside Assist App didn't work. 9th time that the car has gone back to the dealership in 3 months currently 268 hours at the dealership.
All that safety shit is annoying. That car is perfect as it is.
People asking for reliability along with all electrical tech..LMAO...real one doesn't have any of this electrical shit
Why is an "off-road review" NOT an off-road review ... ?
Can you easily remove that terrible 3rd row seat ?
You should be able to remove the bolts that hold the 3rd row seats.
There foldable I think.
@@prashantprakash3172 Of course they’re foldable.
I asked. Apparently others have asked as well and the dealer showed me the handful of bolts they can remove to pull out the row.
NO AEB, NO SALE, Mahindra side stepped Australian regulations and does NOT deserve to succeed with this.
Does the 70/76/76 cruiser have that? The people that want these kinda trucks want less electronic crap. Have a look at the ineos grenadier.
@@sierrabravo. Yes LC76 and 79 have AEB now.
@@sierrabravo. Yes, they do and there is no way on this planet that this is competing with the vehicle you mention.
What;s AEB?
@@mikaugo Automatic emergency braking
Mahindra, from the same country that is incapable of building enough toilets for its citizen which why many people just shyte on the street.
That incapable country can easily bring your country to the knees and beg for u r life. So be respectable towards others. We don't fuck around any corner.
What u have done after making toilets 🤣 EVEN NOT ABLE TO STAND A GLOBAL MOTORCYCLE BRAND 😂😂😂😂 my poety
It's not made in the US?
@@jeeves6490 no, Its made in India I have canceled its booking due to 14 month delay in delivery
