As it has 5 wheels it attracted me and I bought one of these. It has a hardened shackle that is locked with a ball bearing on one side. Although the lock has 5 wheels and one false gate on every wheel I cannot recommend it to secure anything valuable with it.

I bought one of these locks for the gym, and I bricked it while setting the code, I used this method in reverse(it was unlocked and i didn't know the code) so while applying tension to the reset switch I picked number by number. THANK YOU!

It worked! I had a little trouble solving the false gate, so it took me longer, but it still worked.
I love watching your combo videos I've watched every one and I learn so much. A friend of mine let me play with one he didn't give me the combo. It had numbers and letters I decoded it and gave it back to him with a new combo (O2EZ) and then told him to pick it. Lol

Worked for me. However, mine was locked open, so rather than pulling it, I had to push the shackle in. Same feedback

thanks! - with your help I have decoded my lock that I forgot the code to. It was bugging me that I couldn't remember, so not just an issue of buying replacement, more about figuring out what number I had set it to and why. I actually tried all 10000 combos first without success but when I tried your method I realised (a) you really need to apply a lot of force with your method - more than you can just apply with your hands, and (b) even when trying brute force I wasn't applying enough "pull" on each number to open it even when I had the correct code - i.e. a gentle tug isn't enough to open it even when it's on the correct code . After I about a week of on and off sessions going through all 10000 combos I set up a bench anchor to pull against and had the code in less than 5 minutes!

Only takes a few seconds longer compared to 3 or 4 wheels. Not secure at all but fun :-)

This method isn't working for me at all. I wonder if it makes any difference that my lock uses 5 letters instead of 5 numbers?
Bottom line, I am applying tension and either every wheel "bounds" because I'm applying too much tension, or none of them do because I'm applying too little.
When I think I have a wheel to work on, it "clicks" into the gate almost every other letter, so there's no real way I can distinguish those from the REAL gate.
Can anyone please help?
It's hard to tell from a distance, but these locks are not easy to tension. If you know the combination, put all except two wheels to the right number and analyze the feedback of the other two. If you don't know the code start with light tension and check every wheel for resistance. Apply more tension until one get harder to turn, then try to find the gate one that and continue the process. Good luck.

I have the exact same lock I've waycheethis videos 100s of times I still can't do it.
I can feel the ones that feel resistance but then when I turn it it has the same resistance for 3 or so numbers. Its such an awkward lock to hold as well
I have a lock that looks very similar to this except it is made with letters and looks a little thinner around the body.
When I pull on the shackle all the wheels seem to bind equally. Am I maybe pulling too hard on the shackle? Is it possible to pull too hard?

Thank you, that was a very easy lock in terms of decoding but hard to decode in the hand only - to have a fix point somewhere really helped.
I have 2 of these purchased in 2019 that look almost identical but with no "HARDENED" on the shackle. I haven't used them in a while and I've forgotten the combinations. but I know if I decode one then the other will be something related to the first one. I'm having trouble applying the right amount of tension or determining the dial with the most resistance so I'm wondering if I just need to find the right balance or maybe locks made since your video have added features that defeats your method of decoding them. Does it matter if I start with the right dial first instead of the left? Any insight on this is much appreciated. Thanks.

Is there a method to find the correct combination of one of these that is opened?
I have one that my ex changed the combination by mistake while it was opened at the gym - i don't know how but she already did that with half a dozen locks, but this is the one i couldn't recover yet.

Numbers stuck on 62783. After that i didn't understand how did u change? I have same lock but mine is opened i don't know its code and i cant lock or reset it
I have come upon one of these locks, but it is stuck open. How should I apply tension or other force to it if I need to decode it before I can lock it?
And actually I found out the solution myself. :D I just had to keep turning the reset wheel into the resetting position and try different changes to the combination that was supposed to be there. On some digits it went further, which implied that the digit in question was a correct one. Then I turned the next dial in the same way and finally I reached the right combination. Still, thank you for this video!

Hi, I am trying to decode a 5 digit bike lock, but it is proving to be quite difficult (I have decoded several other 4 and 5 digit locks). This one has 4 black number wheels (black with white numbers) and one yellowish/orange number wheel (on the far right hand side) with black numerals. I can use the normal "binding" approach and feel the gate on each wheel, but it seems as if the yellowish/orange wheel has some other role in opening the lock. The lock has no brand or model number visible on it or the cable - it was purchases about 4 years ago in Hong Kong. Has anyone seen a similar type of 5 digit lock or have any insight in to the role of the 5th wheel ? Thanks ! Bryan
So you cannot decode it with pull picking, or? How does the feedback feel like? Sorry, I've not seen a lock like this.
Potti314 That is correct. I can feel each ring binding, and then feel the number on each wheel, but the lock does not unlock. The colored wheel seems to play some other role that I can’t figure out. Perhaps it needs to be done first or last ? I can send or post a picture if helpful. Thank you for responding.

Sorry to read that. If you are familiar with how decoding usually feels you might be able to describe the kind of feedback you get. If you manage to make the wheel binding you should have the opportunity to get the lock decoded. If you not feel any kind of resistance on the wheels, modify the technique of tensioning the locking bolt. Good luck.
